Paper Niche "Weekend with Beatriz"

Babies come from Heaven....

I made this layout for my daughter's friend who is having a baby girl in the Spring. I also made her a matching card. New Arrival is one of my favorite cricut cartridges of all time! Everything in it is so cute!  The sun is  from Doodle Charms. I can only imagine the day one of my kids tell me they are expecting..... I can't wait!

Extravagant Flair...

This is the new challenge  at Stuck on U Sketches. This week they  chose a sketch by Beggahuna. You can see more of her work at http://scrapbook.is/beggahuna/. She has a great eye for balance and her sketches include lots of flourishes.

This is my version of her sketch. I used "Forever Young" and "Sentimentals" cricut cartridges. This page has lots of dimension and almost everything is on a pop-up dot. I did the base making the "lace-looking" edge with Martha Stewart punch. The "hand" has a pearl bracelet and a diamond ring! Again, it was a lot of fun to design something unique and fun for my son's wedding venture. This was the first time ever he got a manicure! He went with his father in law, his best man, his bride-to-be and all her bridesmaids to the  nail salon.

Greeting cards gallore!

I've been making cards in between my scrapbooking. Here are some of my favorites. Have a great and blessed weekend!

Field of Dreams...

This has to be one of my favorite pictures of all time... this is my son Danny holding a baseball ball while he sleeps.  This wasn't any ordinary night.... this was the night before Christmas, in Rome, Italy during his honeymoon...... Yes, Danny has been playing baseball since he was 4 years old. His dream came true in his junior year of college when he was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays. He is doing very well and is ready to start another season in just a few weeks. Of course I had to use my amazing cricut and I used  "baseball" and "Plantin Schoolbook" cartridges.

More honeymoon pages....

"Knock Knock" is a layout I did using several cricut cartridges. I found the bed in "Everyday Paper Dolls". I dressed it up with lace, pearls, flowers, rhinestones and a cameo in the center of the flower. The swirl  on the headboard is from "Sweethearts". The 'hotel' is from My Community. I combined the Market and the Candy Store and made it into one. I embellished it with everything I found in my embellishment treasure box! The words "knock knock" are from Plantin Schoolbook.

I did not use the cricut in these pages. I played with papers, chipboard swirls, buttons and rhinestones.

Isn't it wonderful to reach a season in your life where you are so comfortable with yourself you dare to wear a crochet hat with a  matching flower even if you are 51???? (ha, ha, ha).

Oh la la la la...

These pictures are from Lexie's Bridal Shower. She got so many cute things.....so I used Cricut "Sweethearts"  to do another one of her  pages. I popped everything (of course!) and used the Cuttlebug to emboss the nighties. I used a white gel pen too and then I embellished them with tiny Prima flowers and rhinestones. The hats are so chic, they are from Stampin'Up!. I found the tiny cloth pins at Michael's. They gave it the final touch. Another VOILA!!!!

Sun, Fun Paradise

I made this layout using Life is a Beach Cricut cartridge. I cut the palm tree in several shades of green and different sizes, then I popped up layers. I did the same with the sun. Tropical paradise would not be fun without a toucan! (realistically, they are from the Amazons....). It doesn't matter for me... this page needed one so I made one swinging from my coconut tree! His feathers are made out of ribbons. He turned out happy and colorful. Thanks for stopping by... and you have a blessed day in the joy and strength of the Lord!

I'm bananas 4 you!

Okay,  I keep scrapbooking honeymoon pictures... bear with me! In the meantime enjoy ideas for the cricut cartridge called "Sweethearts". This monkey is just adorable! I cut out the leaf in different colors and sizes. The folded looking lace trim on each side of the pages is the following:
  • Cut out 1/2 inch strips of paper.
  • Punch edge with Martha Stewart lace punch.
  • Distress.
  • Glue them to the back of your paper one at a time using a pop dot  on one and the next one flat.
  • Voila!

My first sketch!

Leah from Being Creative and Feeling Cherry  (http://beeingcreativeandfeelingcherry.blogspot.com)
suggested I'd try Stuck on U Sketches... so I did! (Check them out.... they are awesome!)
http://stuckonusketches.blogspot.com/
This layout is of my son and his bride leaving on their honeymoon to Jamaica. I drove them to the airport and I must admit, I cried my heart out on my way home.... my baby is married! I enjoyed following the sketch... it is my first time following one as well. I used "Going Places" for the airplane, suitcase, camera and world and "All mixed up" for the letters.

Woot with me!

I keep scrapbooking my son's honeymoon pictures and they all look the same! So I am trying to make it fun with the titles... what goes with "woot"? well, I leave it to their imagination...... (ha, ha, ha). I used Cricut's Songbird for the words and branches and Paisley Cachemire for the owls. I know they will get a good laugh out of this one...

Bee Happy!

I used Forever Young for the girl's silhouettes  and Sentimental for the bees, beehive and the title. This is my sister Andreina and her beautiful daughter Gabriela (16). These cartridges are just adorable... there's so much you can do with them!

Crochet butterflies

Jenn at  http://myimajennation.blogspot.com had a BLOG CANDY contest  and she  randomly selected the winner  through random.org and I won! (I am so excited because I am not the type to ever win anything.)
The prize was a box filled with crochet butterflies made by her MIL. Jen made up this card to show her gratitude and to show her what she did with her creations. I can't wait to start using them in my pages!

Tea Time!

The Tea Kettle is a chipboard mini album I got at Michael's (for $1!!! and it brings 5 of them...). The cups are from cricut "Graphically Speaking" cartridge. The papers are from BoBunny and the pretty girl in the picture is Lexie, my DIL during one of her Bridal Showers last October.

Love is in the air....

These are my son's honeymoon pictures. I used My Community Cricut Cartridge to make the "Love Village".
I used Martha Stewart's punch to make the grass and I used Plantin Schoolbook to make the title. Of course, I used lots of my own embellishments and rhinestones. Click on the pictures so you can see the details up close.

I'm cuckoo about you!

I used my "Songbird" Cricut cartridge today. The font is very pretty and the birdhouse inspired me to make a clock to match my title. This cartridge cuts the paper as a frame! It's pretty cool... I used a hand made crochet flowers, acrylic leaves, Heidi Swapp clocks, twisted ribbon, lace, my new Martha Stewart punch , and so many other things! (the secret is  in the details.....).

Valentine Mobile for my Scrapbook Kingdom!

I made this cute Valentine  mobile using Cricut Sentimentals and Accent Essentials Cartridges. It is hanging from my fan in the center of my room, it is so cute! (I am glad I'm only 5'3"!!!!). I also used the felt pink coasters I got at Michael's the other day. They look adorable embellished. Have a great and blessed weekend!
