Lots to share with you today.....

Good morning! I hope that all of you are ready to say "goodbye" to November and "welcome" to the month of  December because it will be here tomorrow!!!

My talented and sweet friend Veronica from KitsNBits and I are having a blog hop just between the two of us for the first 25 days of December. This idea was born out of our desire to share what we love to do most.  She loves to make mini books and my passion is two-page layouts.  This is how the hop will work:

Veronica and I will post our projects everyday starting tomorrow until December 25th. All you have to do is:
  1. Become a follower of both blogs
  2. Leave a comment daily on both blogs
Everyday my blog will have a link to hers and her blog will have a link to mine.  On December 26th we will put the names of all of the loyal followers to both blogs into a hat and pull out two names for a special reward.  Be inspired and have fun, everybody!

This is a layout filled with layers and  embellishments, all done in neutral and brown colors.

Lots of Prima flowers and bling.

This is Madison Rose at 2 1/2 months old. She is growing soooo fast! I am a very proud and happy "abuelita"!!!!!! (Can you tell????)

Have a great, happy and blessed day!

Fun Tuesday

Good morning! Don't  you just love October Afternoon papers? They are so cheery and pretty. I used Sidewalks Collection to make this layout for Paper Niche. I also added lots buttons and  ribbons.

Stickles are always perfect when you want to highlight certain things.

I designed this next layout for Paper Niche as well, using BoBunny's new collection called Enchanted. This collection is very dramatic and elegant at the same time. I used solid white, red and black to mat the frames. I also used Kaisercraft's 12" dress form on the left of the page. This picture does not give justice to the beauty of it and of the papers. Click on the picture to get a closer look if you want.

Have a great and blessed Tuesday!

It's a happy Monday!

Good morning! Hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving weekend. My daughter and I went shopping on Black Friday and had so much fun, especially shopping for baby goodies.  I had fun designing this layout with a ton of layers, flowers and bling. Love the colors too.

Have a great and blessed day!

Happy Wednesday!

Good morning! This is another layout I designed for  The Paper Niche using papers from the Alla Prima collection.

I also used a gate made out of brown felt (which is from from Prima, too).   I cut it in half and used it in two places along with some metal branches and flowers.

Have a fabulous and blessed day!

Happy Tuesday!

Good morning! This is PRIMA fabulous collection called Pixie Glen. I designed this layout for Paper Niche last week. It is displayed in their crop room to inspire croppers.

You can see Prima's wonderful resin embellishments here. I had lots of fun playing with this line, can you tell?

Have a great and blessed Tuesday!

Happy Monday!

Good morning! Hope you had a fabulous weekend. I had a lot of fun making this layout. I used a lot of Technique Tuesday  chipboard tiles. They are so easy to paint because they are white and they take the colors very well.

Have a great and blessed Monday!

Christmas Tag & Card Class at Treasured Memories

Good morning!  Here I am in beautiful Lafayette, Louisiana, visiting my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter, Madison Rose.

I've been driving all over the Southeast since leaving Dothan, Alabama on November 1st with just a small portion of my old studio in my little Honda Accord.  We put the rest (I think my husband might have packed our household things, too ...  I better go ask him.) into storage. We go back to Dothan the first weekend in December to load up everything and bring it to our new home in Gainesville, Florida.  My husband found us a house with a large Florida room that he says will make a perfect new studio for me.  I can't wait to see it!

I spent yesterday in a crop, will crop today and will teach tomorrow at Treasured Memories.  We will be making 6 Christmas cards, 6 gift tags, a gift bag and a one page layout.  I am soooo excited.  Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year for scrapping and paper craft.  There is just so much wonderful stuff to work with!

Happy SWEET Thursday!

Good morning!  This is a layout I helped my friend Kelli design with a doily that was too yellow for another  project but just perfect for this one. In scrapbooking we all know that "trash" for one layout made turn into a "treasure" for another.

Have a blessed day!

Creations for The Paper Niche

Good morning!  I want to tell you about The Paper Niche near Ft. Lauderdale.  They recently moved to a bigger store in the town of Davie and it is absolutely amazing!  They have a crop room in the middle of the store that is a scrapper's dream!  Everything is wonderfully done.

I taught three classes there last week and then got a chance to crop for a day.  Tammy was a wonderful hostess.

They asked me to make a few samples for the store to go with the different product racks. This first one is made using Teresa Collins products.

This next one is for American Crafts.

And this one is a decorated wooden cage from KaiserCraft.  Wouldn't this make a wonderful Christmas door decoration?

There are several more which will be posted sometime soon.  Have a happy and blessed day!

Happy Tuesday!

Good morning!  In one of my stops last week I met this sweet and fun lady named Kelli.  She asked me to help her with a layout using these beautiful colors.  Of course I said yes and I was so honored when she asked me to sign it when we were done!

This is one of the great things about traveling.  You get to meet so many great people and through the magic of the internet you can easily keep in touch across the miles.

I was so inspired by her choice of papers and colors that I created my own layout.  I really, really like the purples and greens together.  (Maybe I'm still stuck on Mardi Gras colors from last week.)  I used Creative Imaginations Winter Song Collection for this layout.  The papers are gorgeous and perfect for a non-traditional Christmas layout.

Have a great and blessed day!

Andrew's baby shower

Good morning! My daughter Valerie's baby shower was yesterday afternoon and she was radiant and so happy to see so many friends and family. Her aunt Laurel came from Chicago, her aunt Andreina (my sister) came from Ft. Lauderdale and her cousin Margarita came all the way from Venezuela!!!

The theme for Andrew's room is sailboats. This wreath was at the front door.

Valerie loved her cake. It was beautiful and delicious!

Andrew will not need any clothes, blankets, toys or towels until he is about 2 years old!

Andrew is soooo happy with all the love and presents his mommy received...

Have a blessed and wonderful day!

Mardi Gras - Either Early or Late

Good morning!  While packing up my studio last week I came across these colorful papers and got inspired enough that I stopped packing and made some last minute Mardi Gras layouts.  So ... I'm either six months late for this year or six months early for next.

Now, I've been to New Orleans several times, but I've never actually seen a Mardi Gras parade.  I can only imagine the floats with all of their bright, beautiful colors and the marvelous costumes!  I hope these layouts do them justice.

We visited New Orleans one Spring day several years ago and the flower gardens were absolutely stunning.

The lamp in this one reminds me of all of the lovely ornamental iron in the older part of New Orleans.

Have a lovely and blessed Friday and an even better weekend!
