Last day of 2013!

Good morning!  Today we are closing yet another year.  It's hard to figure where all of the time went and sure went fast!  One of my favorite scriptures is Ecclesiastes 3:1-8.

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens

A time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
A time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
A time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
A time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,
A time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,
A time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

It makes us reflect in the word time and what time is all about. Maybe this is why I love clocks so much! I am sharing three layouts full of them! I designed them for Treasured Memories.

My wishes to you for the new year are a world full of blessings, joy, health and happiness. Thank you for being an important part of my life and for being a great friend, supporter and encourager. Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Simple Stories "December Documented"

Good morning! Some friends and I got together in Dothan, Alabama the weekend before Christmas to scrap.  We decided to do a group project and bought the Simple Stories December Documented paper collection and chipboard.  We added some solid color mats and embellishments and came up with the following.

We had a great time working with this collection and we came up with something very special.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Is It Cold Yet?

Good morning and happy Friday! I can't believe this week has come and gone and I missed it all! I have had the flu since Sunday and have been in bed since. My husband did tell me that it was cold outside but no snow.... so these layouts are dedicated for all of you who have had your share.

I designed this layout for Treasured Memories using the new BoBunny Winter Collection

Sorry that the colors did not come out too good on this picture. The background is a very pretty blue.

And of course, our beloved gingerbread man!

I Love Snowmen!!!

Happy Monday!  Can you believe we are only two days away from Christmas?  We are ready to celebrate one of the most special occasions of the year; our Savior is born!  Andrew and I will be baking a cake today so that we can sing Happy Birthday to Jesus on the 25th.

I know that we do not have snow here in Gainesville, but you wouldn't know it from all of the snowmen in people's front yards.  These are some layouts I've made with snowmen in them.

Happy Friday!

Good morning!  Hope you've had a wonderful week.  Here's another Christmas layout using one of Julie Nutting's girls.  She is all dressed up for a night on the town!

This is not a Christmas theme layout but it fits the season since we attend so many parties and are not always dressed in "red", right?  This was one of the layouts I designed for Treasured Memories last time I was there. These papers are from Webster Pages.  I love, love their colors and style.

Remember to stop by this blog as well as Kits n Bits on Sunday since it will be the last weekend of our Christmas Blog Hop.  On Christmas morning we will announce the winners from each one of our blogs.

Have a wonderful and blessed weekend!

Christmas Layouts!

Good morning!  There are just a few more days before Christmas.  Are you ready?  Here are some more layouts to inspire you.

These two layouts I designed for ESS the last time I was there.  I love the colors of this one.  I used the Tim Holtz Poinsettia die to make the flowers.  I cut it in two different colors and then inked the edges with gold ink.  Then I added purple Stickles.  I used pop-up dots in the center to give them more dimension.

Don't miss the beauty of the season.  The Bible says: “God so loved the world that he sent His only begotten son so that all who believe in him will not be lost but will have eternal life” (John 3:16). What a precious gift God has given us!  Have a wonderful and blessed Thursday!

Happy Wednesday!

Good morning!  Here we go again with Christmas layouts!  Don't you just love gingerbread men?  They are soooo cute!  Andrew is a HUGE fan of the movie Shrek where one of the characters is a gingerbread man who gets his legs broken off by the evil Lord Farquaad.  When he was given a real gingerbread man for the first time, he picked it up and bit off one of the legs!  It was sooo funny!  Also, my husband loves the frosted mini-gingerbread man cookies from Trader Joe's.  Having them in the house during Christmastime is a must.

This layout is made with a banner made of little felt gingerbread men.

Here's a layout with both a traditional Santa and a more cartoonish one.

This one has a little bit of everything, including some birds.

I designed this layout for Treasured Memories the last time I was there.

Thanks very much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Christmas Layouts

Good morning!  I'm having so much fun with Julie Nutting's girls in my Christmas layouts.  I love to coordinate their outfits to the layout.  They are soooo versatile.  They have huge closets with clothes for any occasion.

This is a layout I made for Treasured Memories.  Janet always makes great color-coordinated embellishments for the lines of papers that she wants me to work with when I visit.  The window on the right is just one example.

Thanks again for stopping by.  I hope that you enjoyed and are inspired by these two layouts.
Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Happy Monday!

Good morning!  Hope you had a lovely weekend.  Christmas is just a few days away!  Hope you are taking lots and lots of pictures during this beautiful season.

I love to incorporate black with all the bright Christmas colors. Everything seems to pop even more.

I designed these two layouts for Treasured Memories the last time I was there.

We had a great time visiting our son & his family last week in Louisiana.  We took Andrew with us.  Madison and Andrew had so much fun together!  One of their favorite things to do was to eat ice cream.  Even though the temperatures were in the 30's, they did not mind sitting outside and devouring snowballs ...

... or ice cream bars!  When we go back during the summer they'll probably want piping hot crawfish gumbo!

Here they are posing with Santa in front of Madison's home.  They both look a bit serious.  Maybe they found out about that "naughty or nice" thing!

In case you missed yesterday's post on the Christmas Blog Hop, there's still time to leave your comments! Remember there's one more week and then on Christmas day we will pick the winners. Stop by the Kits n Bits blog site and leave your comments their, too.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a blessed day!
