Christmas Eve

Good morning and Happy Christmas Eve!  Tomorrow is the big day.  I hope that you are all prepared to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior.  I know that I am.

Here is a layout I recently made that I entitled "Manger".  I took a little bit of many things that I had in my scrap room and put it all together.  I really like how it turned out.

And here is a Nativity Village I put up in my house at the beginning of the month for my grandchildren.  I realize that this Nativity Village is not picture perfect, what with two Baby Jesus's at the manger and an angel down in the evergreen trees.  None of that has not stopped Andrew from adding to it.

The day I took this picture he had added a glowing snowman to the mix.  Other days he has put plastic polar bears and dinosaurs in with the cow.  One day he put some fake fruit from his toy vegetable stand.  Who knows what goes on in the mind of a two-year-old!

Thanks again for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful and blessed Christmas Eve!

Let It Snow

Good morning and welcome back from the weekend!  I hope that everything is great with you as we approach Christmas only 3 days from now.

I actually had something else planned for today, but last night I went with my family to a Christmas attraction about 45 minutes from here.  They had a little old locomotive that went in a big loop through some fields and woods where they had numerous Christmas displays, nativity scenes and lit villages.  They even had a stop where machines blew fake snow (OK, 59 degrees is not nearly cold enough for the real stuff) into the open railcars.  It was absolutely gorgeous so I felt inspired to show this layout!

I hope you get some inspiration from this layout, too!

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Christmas Chefs

Good morning!  Here is a layout and kit that I just had to make after snapping a few photos of my grandson Andrew and my DH (known as "Abui" by Andrew) making a gingerbread Christmas tree the other morning.

Here's Andrew putting frosting of the biggest gingerbread "star" which is going to be the base of the tree while Abui makes sure that he covers it thoroughly.

When they were done with the "star stacking", there was enough frosting left over to make some "green pretzels".  Here they are before adding the white "icicles" and candy decorations to their work of art.

One of the great things about the holidays is getting to spend time with loved ones, doing things that you may not get the chance to do during the rest of the year!

Frozen

Good morning and happy Monday.  I hope that everyone had a great weekend.  I spent mine cropping in Dothan, Alabama with The Hive.  What a magnificent time we had!

Here are a couple of Frozen kits that I've made recently.  They have been very popular!  In fact, everything Frozen has become quite popular these days.  I saw some small toys that are just like the ones that you can get at the Dollar Tree for a buck.  Slap a Frozen sticker on them and they're going for $5.

Fall layouts

Good morning! These are some of the fall layouts I made recently. Even though it has been below freezing temperatures you can still see some pretty leaves around.

This has been a favorite of my friends. I used felt pieces which I found at Michaels for most of the layout. I might make it into a kit pretty soon.

Have a fabulous and blessed day!

Happy December!

Good morning! Hope your Thanksgiving weekend was fabulous and you got a chance to enjoy every minute of it. As a fun-filled-family-tradition, my daughter and I shopped 'til we dropped on Black Thursday/Friday. This year we took baby Carolina with us to start training her early! She slept most of the night... she did miss some good sales, but her mommy got them all!

This is Carolina as the Snow Queen at Target

This is Valerie and I goofing off at Macy's.

Carolina is choosing her favorite doll at Toys R Us.

We were debating whether or not to buy Olaf for Andrew. The price tag was only $500!

After 14 hours, our poor feet needed a well-deserved massage.

Here's a Christmas layout I designed for the Scrap-a-teers from New Orleans.

Have a wonderful and blessed day!
