All About Scrapbooking

Good morning! Hope you had a great weekend. We are close to drowning here in "Rainesville", I mean, Gainesville. Crazy weather, right? At least we are not going to get run over by a hurricane just yet!
One of the reasons I love FB is that you get a chance to meet wonderful people from all over the world! I recently joined a group called Scrapbook Layouts totally dedicated to posting exactly that, Scrapbook Layouts. Sandy Gage, the owner and founder was telling me that they already have more that 10,000 members from all over the globe! She also has two more sites on FB called Cricut Scrapbook Layouts and Disney Scrapbooking and Card Making. I encourage you to check them out and to join them if you can. Here are the links:

I just learned that another scrapbook store is closing after many years in business, She Scrapbooks at The Villages in Florida. It is sooooo sad to see them go! We need to keep this wonderful hobby/craft/art alive for the sake of our children and grandchildren. What would happen if you loose your electronics and loose all your pictures? I have seen it happen over and over again! Thank you Sandy, for your hard work, your encouragement to scrap and for uniting  people with the same passion as you.
I recently made this layout using a real Starbucks cup holder.

Have a wonderful and blessed day and keep coming back for more inspiration! Remember I also have a FB page called  Amazing Grace Paper Crafts and you can visit it right here:  Amazing Grace on FB

Raggedy Ann & Andy

Good morning and happy Thursday!  Today's layout is one with Raggedy Ann & Andy which I titled "Adore".  It's actually a kit that I have for sale.  Click on the KITS tab to see them all.

It took some searching, but I finally found this scrapbook page from 1982, 33 years ago from my daughter's 2nd birthday party.  The theme was raggedy Ann & Andy.  My parents brought a 4 foot tall piñata from South America and my sister dressed up as Raggedy Ann.  I'd like to think that my scrapbooking techniques have improved somewhat since then, but the photos are the important things!

Here's a closeup of the piñata.  Seems such a shame to take something so pretty and smash it to pieces!

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  I had a great time looking for these photos in all of my many scrapbooks. I have to think that I'll be sharing more in the future.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Happy Monday!

Good morning! Hope you had a lovely weekend. Mine was very peaceful and I actually got a chance to scrapbook a lot and to rest as well.

This is one of the layouts I designed for Treasured Memories over the summer.  It was a kit and it sold out before I even finished it!

That layout is perfect for pictures such as these ones..... This is my daughter Valerie when she was 2 (1982) wearing a beautiful dress my parents brought her from Europe.

And this is her daughter Carolina wearing the same dress 33 years later!!! I made a Hope Chest for Valerie since she was born  (filled with her precious possesions as she grew up). I gave it to her the day of her wedding. She opened it when she started having babies and right away started enjoying things that meant a lot to her.

She's doing the same thing for Carolina and this dress,of course, will be in it! It is in perfect shape ready for the next generation!

I hope this put a smile in your face this morning and inspires you to treasure the little things in life which at the end make the big things thast we remember.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Back to School

Good morning and happy Friday!  Another week has come and gone!  Where does the time go?

In our area the schools open on Monday.  The teachers have been in session this week, preparing for the students who will show up shortly.  I've enjoyed watching the young ones with their parents in tow at the stores gettin new clothes, shoes, backpacks and supplies.  It brings back many sweet memories.

Here's a layout for those first-day-back photos of the kiddies and their sad (or perhaps glad) parents.

Thanks for visiting my blog today/  Have a wonderful and blessed day and a safe and restful weekend.

Dolls and more dolls!

Good morning! Hope you are having a great week so far. I have been playing with my stamps again and this time I used one of the  Gorjuss stamp dolls (on left) and one of the Magnolia dolls (on right). They are both colored with Copic Sketch markers. They are sooo addictive!

If you happen to have Facebook make sure you visit my site called Amazing Grace Paper Crafts. I post a lot of my original layouts there. Have a fabulous and blessed day!

Happy Birthday Layouts

Good morning and happy Tuesday!  Being that this is my birthday month, I've been in a great mood to make birthday layouts.  Here are three of them, two for sweet sixteen and one for all occasions.

I got to spend my birthday with my son and his family.  When I woke up on my birthday, I was greeted by this lovely table they had set for me.  What a wonderful surprise!

Happy Monday!

Good morning and happy Monday!  I hope that you had a lovely weekend.

Most of the time I'm making layouts for other people's photos, but sometimes I enjoy making layouts fro my own.  This first layout is titled "My Story".  I made the lady at the right to look like me (if I was skinny) including my glasses, which I always try to remove before the picture is taken.

This next one is titled "Fashionista".  It's another fun layout for those types of pictures.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Mama, Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys

Good morning and happy Friday!  We've made it to the end of another week.  As I was making these two layout kits, I was remembering when my son Daniel was 4-years-old.  He had a pair of cowboy boots that he wore everywhere, even to (but not into) the pool.  It was funny to see him with swim trunks and boots.  I hope that you enjoy these two layouts.

Thanks for your visit today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day as well as a safe and restful weekend.

HOOAH!!!

Good morning and happy Friday!  Welcome to the weekend. Today is my 57th birthday and I am celebrating it with my husband and family in the beautiful State of Washington. I thank the Lord for one more year of life, yeah!

Here are a couple of kits that I made in honor of the men and women of the Army who protect our nation.  This is especially heartfelt for me as I have a nephew currently serving in the Army in Afghanistan.  Every day I pray that he stays safe and returns to us soon.
