This is a K&Company paper that comes in a pack. The colors are so pretty even though I would have never put them together! (you know what I mean?) I had fun cutting them and popping them up. I used my cricut machine (Accent Essentials) to cut the shape of the papers underneath my photo.

I've had these cute chipboard birds from Stampin' Up for over a year and today they really inspired me so I put them on this page. Steve and I went to " A Weekend to Remember" retreat in Tampa last weekend. It was awesome! I highly recommend it to those who want to refresh the basics of a healthy marriage.

My friend Tanya showed me a project she did a few years ago using 8 x 10 streched canvas. I fell in love with it and made my own using a beautiful paper I've had for a while and some amazing hand-embroidered butterflies from France I bought at Paper Niche before I moved. The flowers are from Prima and the giant butterfly is a transparency I painted with staz-on and Tim Holtz distressing inks. I also made a 5 x 7 booklet to go inside the frame. The title of my book: Treasured Memories (of course!).

It's been almost a week since I arrived in Dothan, Alabama and it seems as if I have been forever! My studio is all set up and today was the first time I was inspired to go in there and play with my things. I made this two pages using 18 squares. Each one of them is scrapped individually and I tried to capture "my new life" in them, making the center one have the date I moved here. I also used the new tiny Maya Road chipboards -tress, birds and bird cages, wings- they are adorable! I embossed, glittered, distressed, layered, colored and played for many hours, it was fun!
