Happy Memorial Day!

Hope you've enjoyed this meaningful day with your family and friends. My husband and I went to South Florida for our nephew's graduation. It was a long drive but it is always a blessing to see our loved ones.

We stopped in Havana, Florida, a little town between Tallahassee, Florida and Bainbridge, Georgia. This tiny town is filled with antique stores, cafes and gift stores. We had a delicious ice cream and I took these pictures. There were flowers everywhere, so pretty!

My first SUMMER page on 2010

The Pink Elephant Challenge (http://thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com/) posted their SUMMER pages today. Mine is in there! Stop by and check them out, they have great inspiration for you.

Check out my "ribbon fish", she is a cutie! (ha, ha, ha). I also loved the combined textures: cardboard, papers and chipboards. Of course, the cuttlebug embossing folder is a must  for my sun. The sky is the limit......... Happy Thursday!

"A year in a baby's life" album

Happy Tuesday!

Liz Qualman (http://lizqualman.blogspot.com/) has another fun sketch this week. Of course, ALL of her work is just amazing and her sketches are so much fun to follow. I scrapped more pictures of Danny & Lexie's  trip to Italy.

I used this clock to represent "time". They were visiting monuments in the old side of town.

Jenny's challenge at http://suchins.blogspot.com/ is "clouds". I used a bunch of left over papers to make the horizontal strips, sewed some of them and then punched  many flowers in different colors to fill two rows. I got inspired by my friend Sandi last night. She got the Stampin'Up! punch that has 3 flowers in one. They layer beautifully.

A new day......

Can you believe May is almost over????? Today is a new day!!! Let's give thanks to God because His mercies are new every day. It's been a busy and happy weekend around here and  I got a chance to play a little. These pictures were taken at our Big Crop earlier this month. I made lots of ribbon flowers for both pages.

My dear friend Sandra is very talented. She has an eye for design and she can make almost anything! These are some of her latest creations, a purse and  a pair of shoes. She was born in Jamaica so she used Jamaican colors for her inspiration for the shoes. I will get to see her this weekend, yeah Sandra!

I am a Guest Designer at StuckOnUsSketches!!!!!!!

Wow.... this is so cool! Twice in one week. Yesterday  at The Pink Elephant Challenge http://thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com/ and today at StuckOnUsSketches http://stuckonusketches.blogspot.com/. Stop by and see what I have to say about this amazing hobby!

This is the page I submitted. I keep taking advantage of this challenges and sketches so I can finish their wedding album. They better start making babies... I want more variety of pictures!!!!!

Busy Bea.....and Happy Friday!

As you know by now, I love Liz Qualman's sketches. This month we can use any of the sketches for May and submit them for a chance to win a prize. You can visit her right here: http://lizqualman.blogspot.com/.

I made two using her sketches. This first one is of Lexie having her make up done. I used Donna Downey's canvas flower and embellished it. I also threaded twine on suede ribbon. The white folded ribbon has white tulle! I wanted to reflect that she is the bride.

This next one is the second time I use it. It worked out perfect for my funny pictures of my daughter Valerie.

I am also submitting this page to http://scrapitwithasong.blogspot.com/ challenge. I used "So close your eyes" from "Love Story" by Taylor Swift.

Some more pages....

The Pink Elephant Sketch and Challenge

Happy Thursday!  I am so excited that The Pink Elephant's Challenge is up! You can see the sketch and designer's pages right here: http://thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.com/. They are all awesome. This is my layout. It is a picture of Lexie and Daniel signing their name on the bottom of their cake topper the day after their wedding. This is another memorable moment for them as they are the third generation using it.

Happy Monday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! I did and my knee is much better today, praise God! I've been playing with the "Material girl" papers from Cosmo Cricket and did some challenges. The first one is from Liz Qualman (http://lizqualman.blogspot.com/).

The next one is from Creative Scrappers (http://www.creativescrappers.blogspot.com/).

The next challenge is from Wee Memories at http://suchins.blogspot.com/. Something pink and embellishments. Here is my take:

My husband and I paid a visit to our friend Karen's class to help them make  Mother's Day cards.  We had a great time dancing, singing, painting, stamping, cutting and laughing with these amazing kids. Tomorrow we get to visit them again as some of them are graduating. Here are more pictures of our special day together:

Susie poses every time she sees a camera. She is one of the sweetest girl I have ever met. I did this page for the StuckOnUsSketches (http://stuckonusketches.blogspot.com/) challenge this week which is buttons.
