BBQ Time

Happy Friday! Are you ready for the weekend?  I sure am and I am also ready for my daughter's amazing grilled chicken and corn on the cob.

Today's inspiration is a layout I designed for Kat And June Bugs.  We used the Block Party and From My Kitchen Cricut Cartridges.  The papers are from the Alora Collection from BoBunny.

The watermelon holds three tags for either more photos or for journaling.

Hope this layout  inspires you to have a delicious barbeque over the weekend!  Have a great, safe , happy and blessed day!

Boy and girl layouts

Good morning and good news... the rain  has finally stopped and we saw the sun yesterday afternoon. I hope Debby goes far away into the ocean and never come back!  Back to scrappin'...These are some of the layouts I designed for Paper Niche last time I was there earlier in the month.

These  papers are from the  Little Boy Blue Collection  from Crate Paper.

These  papers are from the  Little Bo Peep Collection  from Crate Paper.

These adorable papers are from the  Pretty Party Collection  from Crate Paper. I also used some wooden frames and painted them in bright green.

Have a great, fun and blessed day!

Graphic 45 for 1912 wedding

Good morning! It's still raining here in Gainesville! Oh my.... in my years I have never experienced anything like this. I hope it would stop soon or we are going to need a boat to go grocery shopping!

Have you see the new Graphic 45 Collection called A Ladies' Diary? It is gorgeous! I designed this layout for a friend. These photographs were restored and they are her ancestors back in 1912.

This collection was perfect to capture that era.

Look at that veil, so pretty!

I made this layout using the same collection.

Soooo pretty and elegant! I embellished it with lace, pearls, flowers and bling.

Have a great and blessed Wednesday!

Little Miss from BoBunny

Good morning and good news... we have not drowned yet. The storm is still around and it has not stopped raining for a minute since the weekend.

Have you seen the new BoBunny collection called Little Miss? It is beautiful! I've been playing around with it and made three layouts. Here is the first one.

I used Prima's resin window, flowers, trim and bling.

I concentrated on the bird cages on this one.

Look at the little Misses! They are sooo cute!

Happy Monday!

Good morning!  Hope you had a lovely weekend. We have been under Debby's wrath for two days now and it is WET, WET, WET!!!  It's supposed to continue raining all week!!!  These are some of the layouts I've made lately.

I can't wait to take Andrew and Madison to the zoo so we can get some photos for these pages.

Andrew & I go on "Nature Hikes" every afternoon (when we're not in the monsoon season!)

Since my layouts today are related to jungle animals, I have something to share.  I gave my dear sweet husband a video camera for Father's Day and now he thinks he's Steven Spielberg!  Here's a short video of Andrew in his car seat over the weekend.

Hope you enjoyed it!  Have a wonderful, dry (hopefully) & blessed day.

Boy layouts

Good morning and happy Friday!  My grandson Andrew is 5 months old already and he has two teeth and he is starting to crawl!  It must be all the swimming he has been doing!  Well, today's layouts are dedicated to him.  I designed them for Kat and June Bugs in Enterprise, Alabama.  The papers are from Echo Park.  This first one is an aviation theme with airplanes and helicopters.

This second one is with race cars and gears.

This is our precious Andrew enjoying an afternoon ride in his stroller.

Have a fabulous and blessed weekend!

Sun Kissed from Prima

Good morning and happy Tuesday! As you can see, I love the Sun Kissed Collection from Prima.

The colors are great!  And they all blend together fabulously.

This is another layout using the same line of papers. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the border on top and the fabulous mesh, flowers and bling  from MonAmi Gaby.

I absolutely love their stuff!

Today is Steve's first video at the Paper Niche blog.  He is showing his first Cricut Tip of the Week.  Hope you enjoy it! Have a great, happy and blessed Tuesday!

Good old days

Good morning!  Hope you enjoyed your weekend. We celebrated Father's day with a delicious BBQ at our daughter's house.

These are the layouts I taught over the weekend at Everything Scrapbook & Stamps in South Florida.  Don't you just love these papers? They are from Vintage Street Market and Graphic 45 (clocks and hats). I embellished with Sizzix die cuts (clock, car, gears) and Crackled Accents.

This is the lady's version. Check out her pearls and how great she looks even when she vacuums! (bottom right). Old black and white photos will look great in these layouts.

I was so inspired by the papers above that I made another one with a beach/summer scene.   (I always seem to be coming back to beach scenes, regardless of the paper!)

Today I start working for Paper Niche, writing and maintaining their blog. We will have different features such as Kit of the Week, Cricut with Steve (my husband), Inspiration Wednesdays, and much more during the week days. Make sure to stop by daily and check it out at http://paperniche.blogspot.com and on their Facebook page. Have a great and blessed Monday!

SOUS "Father's"

Good morning! We have another awesome Die-Cut Challenge at SOUS: Fathers. I used Designer's Calendar Cricut Cartridge to cut out the Title and the date.

Make sure you stop by http://stuckonusketches.blogspot.com/ and check out the other designer's post, they are awesome. Have a great and blessed weekend!

Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe

Good morning!  Here is a layout I made with Graphic 45 papers.  I just love their papers because they are so interesting and unique.  I call this one the Olde Curiosity Shoppe.  Aren't these flying pigs absolutely adorable?

I really like these butterflies with the shiny wings and the wire antennae.  I added some rhinestones to give them even more color.

This shelf reminds me of one my mother-in-law has.  It's full of old-time bottles that she's acquired over the years.  They're all empty and are all different shapes, sizes and colors.  I think the bottles we get today are all too boring.

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

She's a Sassy Lady

Good morning!  Today is my turn to be a guest designer at She's a Sassy Lady.   I am sharing a layout I made inspired by the Grandfather's Clock on the Cricut Heritage Cartridge.  My title is "Generations".

You can see all the embellishments here. I used glitter paper for the larger circle, a ton of flowers from Zva, Prima and  Fabscraps.

I also added a vintage metal key.

Hope you enjoyed my project today.  Have a blessed and wonderful day!

Dad, Go Fish!

Good morning!  I was inspired to do this page in honor of all of the fisherman out there for Father's Day.  And although my son likes to fish, the only fish my husband catches are the ones from the supermarket that are already cleaned!

This reminds me of a funny story.  A few years ago our son was in a fishing tournament.  His mother-in-law sent us about ten pounds of fish all cleaned & fileted, frozen in a huge zip-lock bag.  My husband took it out of the freezer so that it would thaw enough for him to split them up into smaller bags.  Not knowing this, I figured that he wanted me to cook them, so I got my biggest pot and made fish stew.  Even though I grew up two blocks from the Caribbean, I do not eat fish, so my husband ate fish stew twice a day for about two weeks.  Pretty soon he was asking me to check and see if he had sprouted gills!

Even though this is a "manly-man" page, I snuck in a little "bling" disguised as bubbles.  Do you think the fathers in your life will notice?

Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Palm Beach girl

Good morning! Hope you had a lovely weekend.  Mine was a little hectic as our son Danny was traded to another baseball team on Saturday, after an entire week of suspense..  They had to pack up everything and be on a plane to California in less than 24 hours. All of this with a 9 month-old baby!!!!Wow.... the life of a professional athlete, right?

Well, summer is here and so is the time for beach layouts. Here are two  in pinks. I used the Palm Beach Collection from Webster.

Have a blessed and wonderful day!
