Nurses Care

Good morning and happy, happy Friday.  Well, I was moved yesterday from the hospital to a nursing home for rehab.  I could be here anywhere from 3 days to 3 weeks.  It's a very nice facility and I've already met some very nice people (no scrap bookers yet, but there's always time to convert them!)  My daughter tells me that I need to be careful because some women might think that their husbands will become interested in the "pretty young woman" who just moved in!  I don't feel all that pretty with my body brace and my walker, but at 59 I'm probably the youngest resident.

Here's an older layout of mine about nurses titled Nurses Care.  They really do around here.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day and a safe and restful weekend!

Doctors!!!

Good morning and happy Tuesday!  Well, another day in the hospital.  I thought that I would be going home (or at least to rehab) yesterday.  Yesterday morning they decided to run so blood tests on me just as a precaution and they found several things "out of whack".  Soooo ...it looks like at least one more day until I'm out of here.

In the meantime, here's an older layout of mine about doctors.  I've seen a few this past week.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Enjoy Every Moment

Good morning and happy Friday.  Here is the layout that I picked for today even before I went into the hospital.  It's titled Enjoy Every Moment.  A most appropriate title as I've had a minor setback and will have to go back into surgery today to repair leaking spinal fluid.  My surgeon tells me that it is a simple surgical procedure so I thank God for that.

Thanks for all of your prayers.  I will continue to need them.  Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Lighthouse & Fun Summer

Good morning and happy Thursday!  Slowly but surely I am on the road to recovery.  All of your prayers and well wishes are truly appreciated.

Here is my custom back brace which was delivered to my room yesterday.  The very first thing that my wise guy DH said when he saw it was "Really???  They had to label this side as "FRONT"?

Here I am taking it for a spin.  My daughter says that I look like a Star Wars Storm Trooper.  Guess the theme of the very first scrapbook page that I'm going to make when I get home.  It's a good thing that they took a picture of me leaving my room.  Five minutes later when I came back I was not as cheerful.

And here I am with "Joey", my granddaughter's favorite stuffed animal which she wanted me to have at the hospital.  She told me "Lita, Joey is going to take care of you."

Here are a couple of summertime layouts that I made before I went to the hospital.

Memories & Timeless

Good morning and happy Wednesday.  I'm writing this blog post early, because I knew that I would be in no condition on Tuesday evening to write it.  Here are another two single page layouts that I made before my surgery, while using up some leftover odds and ends in my studio.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

(Bea's surgery lasted over six hours yesterday.  She finally got out of the Recovery Room and into her regular hospital room around midnight.  Our daughter spent the night with her so she was able to rest some.  The med's she was given might have also helped her sleep a little bit.)

Family & Always Remember

Good morning and happy Tuesday.  I say this with some reservation as I go under the knife for my back for the 5th time.  My doctor tells me that this will be the last time I will ever be able to operated on for my back, so I ask for God to guide his hands and make me better.

Here a couple of single page layouts that I made over the weekend.  Family and remembrances are two very important things for me and for most scrapbookers.  Everything after that is just a detail.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Keep me in your prayers.  I will keep you informed as I convalesce this week.  God bless.

Today is a special day

Good morning! Today is a very special day for me because it's my 59 birthday! . I thank the Lord for blessing me with sooo many days! My family has been amazing and have filled me with love, tons of presents, cards, dinners and cakes. Birthdays in our family are about a week long and we have to wear our birthday hat as well.

Here's a layout ready to be used.

Now, tomorrow is another day.... I am having my 5th back surgery at 11:00 am. The doctor told me that he is going to fix me up and this will be my last one ever.  Please pray for me! Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Sunshine & Happiness

Good morning and happy end of the week!  I hope you had a great one.  For the first time in several weeks, I'm not going out of town for the weekend.  Don't know what I'll do.  Probably just stay at HOME and crop!

Here's a layout that I recently made.  I like the way it turned out.  I like the lady withe the big sunglasses and the scarf.  She looks very 60's.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a blessed day and a safe and restful weekend.
