For the Record 2 from Echo Park

Good morning!  Do you ever come across a collection of papers that you are crazy about?  This happened to me with For the Record 2 from Echo Park.  They have two versions; one in blues, green and yellows and the other one in reds and oranges.  Well, here's some inspiration using both lines.

My precious granddaughter Madison Rose is having a time of her life in Venezuela!  She goes swimming daily and is starting to get a tan. Tomorrow she and her parents are flying to Margarita Island for a week!  What a life.....

Have a fabulous and blessed day!

"All Man" Layouts

Good morning!  Who said that men's layouts need to be boring or borderline "girlie-man"?  There are some great papers and embellishment out there that are "all man".

Here are some layouts I designed for Treasured Memories.  This first one is about fishing using Simple Stories papers and Paper House embellishments & die cuts.

This next one is about all sports. This reminds me of my son Danny when he was little.  He played every sport imaginable!  This cluster of sports equipment says it all.

I hope you enjoy these layouts as much as I enjoyed making them!  Have a great and blessed day!

Baby boy and baby girl layouts

Good morning! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. I spent it in Dothan, Alabama cropping with beautiful friends. Oh how I miss them!!!!! Wish we lived closer!!!!!

Today's layouts are for baby girl and baby boy. These collections are  called Sugar and Spice (girl) and Snips and Snails (boy), both from Doodlebug Designs. These are also layouts I designed for Treasured Memories earlier this month.

The elephants, the giraffe and the monkeys are all cut out with the Cricut.

Thank you for stopping by. If you live in the east coast I pray you will be okay and the storm will pass fast.
Have a great and blessed day!

Dad and travel layouts

Happy Friday!  Wow.... did this week just flew by or what?  Today's layouts are some of the ones I designed for Treasured Memories earlier this month

The gears are inked and then embossed with WOW embossing powders.  I also used Viva Pearl Pens for the dots on the gear below the man. The wooden tickets and clocks are from Prima.

This is a travel layout using Heidi Swapp papers and embellishments from Studio Calico and Tattered Angels.

Look closely to the tiny die-cut wood pieces! They are called Wood Veneer from Studio Calico.  They are so cool!  Treasured Memories has both of these layouts available for purchase as kits.

My Andrew traveled as a champ. He slept, ate, pooped, waved to everyone and called Dada to every man that walked by the aisle! It was an adventure to travel with my nine-month old grand-baby,  that's for sure!

Have a fabulous and blessed weekend!

Happy Thursday!

Good morning! This is a girly girl layout which I made for a friend of mine. The green circles are from FabScrabs. They are awesome for smaller pictures. I inked them and then embossed them. The large green flowers and pearl swirls are from Zva.

Have a great and blessed day!

Mom, you are amazing

Good morning! I am back home after a beautiful week with my daughter Valerie and grandson Andrew in Boston. The weather was perfect and the autumn  leaves were at their peak. Andrew was a real champ traveling.

These layouts are in aqua and yellow, two beautiful colors together.   This picture does not do it justice.   I have a new camera and I have no idea of how to use it yet.  I don't know if it is the lighting or a setting.  I miss my old simple point & shoot camera!!!  (At least we had a nice funeral for it!)

Here is another layout with the same color scheme.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a fabulous and blessed day!

Happy Tuesday!!!!

Good morning! Hope you are having a great week. This is a layout I designed por Paper Niche last time I was there. I used BoBunny  papers, Kaisercraft swirls and Prima flowers. The combination rocks!

Check out Paper Niche's blog today. Steve has his new video on Tim Holtz Rossette Dies.

I am returning home tonight after a fabulous week in Boston with Andrew and my daughter Valerie.  I will share lots of pictures soon. Again, thank you for stopping by! Have a fun, safe and blessed day!

Thinking of You

Good morning!  Here is a very elegant & feminine layout I made the other day.  It contains many of the things that I love to scrap with; clocks, birds, butterflies & flowers!

Rhinestones and half-pearls do so much to dress up a simple flower, don't you think?

This clock contains one of my favorite things ... birds.  However, it looks like you're going to have to wait five minutes for him to come out of his little house.  When he does, the flowers and butterflies will keep him company.

I hope that you enjoyed this.  Have a wonderful & blessed Monday!

Ouch!

Good morning!  No..... I am not sick, praise the Lord.  I found these cool papers and embellishments and made them into a kit and, to my surprise, it sold out quickly!

So many times we have pictures of our kids when they are sick that we would love to scrap. Well, here's a cute way to do it. Or maybe you are a nurse or a doctor and have some pictures of the folks around your office or hospital.  This will be terrific for those photos, as well!

I just love this little clipboard.  It reminds me of how, when you go to a new doctor for the first time, you need to show up an hour early just to fill out all of the paperwork!

Have a safe, fun and blessed weekend!

Back to Fall!

Good morning!  Well, today's layouts are about Fall again.  Andrew and I are on our way to Boston today to meet with his Mommy who is working there for two weeks. Andrew and I are planning to go apple picking, pumpkin patching and leaf watching over the weekend!  (We may even try to find a pile of raked leaves that we can jump in!)

When we get back, three pictures are going in this layout.  (I've packed a couple of outfits that will match these colors perfectly!  I'm I obsessive, or what?)

These are BoBunny papers which are also perfect for my future pictures.  (Once again, the wardrobe has been picked out!)

Have a fabulous and blessed day!

Beach time!

Good morning! I know it's Fall, but somewhere out there there are scrappers still scrapping their Summer /vacation layouts who need inspiration, right?

Here's one for "cruisers" where the photo mats are so lovely, it's almost a shame to mount pictures!

Here's one for those who got to the shore, but no further.

Hope you enjoyed them!  Thank you for visiting my blog!  Have a fabulous, happy, fun and blessed day!

School Layouts

Good morning!  Here are some photos from a crop I was at a week ago at Treasured Memories in Lafayette, Louisiana.

I don't know why it is, but every scrapbooker carries a lot of baggage.  I mean this in the literal sense.  We all have a ton of stuff, and we feel this need to bring all of it, just in case we might need it!  Forget the fact that we could always beg, borrow or buy.

Now this, of course, leads to "border encroachment", where a scrapper's stuff tends to "migrate" into the next scrapper's precious territory.  Fortunately, no one has ever been seriously hurt in these border clashes!

Here's the crop room in full action.

This is one of the fun layouts I designed for Treasured Memories.  I had so much fun playing with these papers while I was there!

Look at the lockers how cool they open!

This is another school layout  I made using the same color scheme.

I sure had a great time & I want you to have a great and blessed day!

Prima Tea Thyme

Good morning and happy Monday!  I got to listen to several baseball games in Spanish on the internet over the weekend, now that my son is in Venezuela playing winter ball.  Can I tell you that it was the hardest thing ever?  Even though Spanish is my native language, I do not know the baseball vocabulary!

Let me give you an example.  The word for "infielder" in Spanish is "jardinero"; literally, a "gardener". So when I heard them say that they brought in 5 pitchers and 4 gardeners from the States, I could not understand why they needed to take gringo gardeners to Venezuela!   There are tons of Venezuelans down there who can do yard work! Yeah.... it was pretty funny for my son.

These are some of the layouts I designed for Treasured Memories in Lafayette, Louisiana during my last visit. I am in love with the Prima Tea Thyme Collection.

The words on the upper right are from Dusty Attic. They are embossed with silver WOW embossing powder. Those WOW embossing powders are awesome by the way.

The swirl on the right is also from Dusty Attic.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a fabulous and blessed Monday!

Happy Fall!

It's Friday again!  Did this week fly by or what? This is one of the layouts I designed for Paper Niche last time I was there.  For this one I used the new Amy Tangerine line called "Ready, Set, Go".  I made it very cutesie.

I used an Accu-cut die to make the tree. It has several layers which I inked and popped.

We are a pair of happy grandparents blessed with Andrew and Madison.  Why does it seem, however, that the pumpkins have about the same amount of wrinkles that they did 35 years ago, but that we have more???

This is Andrew at his first pumpkin patch . He is 9 months old.

This is Madison celebrating her second pumpkin patch at 13 months.

These are some more fall layouts ready to be used!

Did I mention that Fall is my favorite season?  I love everything about it.

Enjoy the weather and this beautiful season. Have a fabulous and blessed weekend!

Remember Today

Good morning and happy Thursday!  Hope you are having a great week.  Our son Danny, his wife Lexie and their baby Madison Rose flew to Venezuela on Tuesday.  He is going to play winter ball there with one of their major league teams called Cardenales de Lara (Lara Cardinals. Lara is a State).  They left Louisiana on Tuesday at noon and got into their hotel at 5 a.m. the following day.  Danny had to be at the field 12 hours later since the season opens today.  He was featured in the local newspapers and I can see his face how tired he is.  I am sure that once as he gets a full night sleep he will be much better. Lexie told us that Madison (13 months old) did amazing in all their flights (3 all together, one being over 5 hours) and the 6 hour bus ride through the mountains!.  They will be there for the next six weeks.  I am certain that this is an experience that this young family will treasure forever.

My layout is just perfect for this picture and many more!

These papers and embellishments are from  Echo Park's Collection called  For the Record 2. Love, love, love the vibrant, bright colors.

Look at what the tags say!!!! It's just perfect for the occasion.

Thank you for stopping by and for being part of our lives. Have a wonderful and blessed day and remember to celebrate all your loved one's lives. Love ya always!
