"Get to know me" Blog Hop

Good morning! We are starting our "Get to Know Me" blog hop at  Stuck On Us Sketches today! We will  be answering 10 fun questions about ourselves. Don't you just love reading about fellow scrappers?!! SOUS is including this fabulous sketch designed by Sandi Clarkson, so we hope that you will get an opportunity to use it this week and upload your projects as usual on the SOUS site.

This is my take of the sketch. I converted it into a two-page layout and was able to keep the bees in it since my name is Bea! I chose pictures that were taken during my trips and would reflect how happy I am in the Lord regardless where I am.

Would you like to get to know me better now?
  1. If you were a crayon, what color would you be? Why?  I would definitely be aqua because the waters of my hometown are that color.
  2. What would people be surprised to learn about you? They would be very surprised to know that I wish I would not have such a strong accent!
  3. What 5 things are always on your crafting table? My ancient guillotine, ATG gun, tacky glue, pop up dots and scissors.
  4. Your go-to embellishment is ... FLOWERS!!!!!
  5. What is your all-time favorite crafting tool?  Punches
  6. Tell us about your family .. first in one word. Then in a sentence or two. Blessed. I am very blessed with my family.... God is good!
  7. What is your dream vacation? My dream vacation is to visit my home country Venezuela with all my children and grandchildren.
  8.  Who is your favorite crafty company? Prima!!!!
  9.  Tell us a bit about your crafty style. I love embellishments and techniques.
  10. Where do you live? I live in Gainesville, Florida since last December. Only a mile away from baby Andrew!!!
SOUS is offering a  yummy blog candy too! Make sure you stop by and play along so you can  have a chance to win this awesome giveaway.

Layouts for baby girl

Happy Thursday! Hope you all are having a great week. My Andrew left to Chicago this morning for 5 days and I am already missing him! He smiles every time I talk to him... he must like my accent! (ha, ha, ha).

These are some baby girl layouts I did last week. This first one is one of my favorites. The pregnant silhouette is from the AccuCut die and the large frame on the right is from Fancy Frames Cricut  Cartridge.

Lots of pinks, flowers and pearls.

Love this horse and wings, sooo sweet!

You can see more details in this picture.

This princess is an invitation which I altered with tulle, ribbon, lace, bling and flowers.

Wish you  a fabulous and blessed day!

Paper Niche happy moments

Good morning! This is another post about my weekend at the Niche. It was Karen's birthday so we celebrated with lots of  love, gifts and cake.

I taught a class called Designing with Paper. At the end of the class everyone got to choose their own papers and embellishments and had to create a layout using what they learned  in class. These are some of the layouts they made.

This one is not finished yet but I had to take a picture and share it. The colors are so beautiful! These are MME papers.

Aren't they awesome???? There were many more but did not get a chance to photograph them. We started the class at 6pm and about 10:30pm we were still playing! This is what happens when croppers get together and play, right?  Have a great and blessed day!

Croppin' with Bea at the Paper Niche

Good morning! I finally get a chance to share some the beautiful layouts we did last weekend at the three-day crop at Paper Niche.  This first one is a St. Patrick's day layout Terry and I made featuring her precious granddaughters.

This is an awesome layout Shirley made using Quarter Note Cricut Cartridge for her son during one of his concerts.

There were two people who made Soccer layouts. We called them "balls of fire".

Marta made a beautiful canvas for her mother. She used the fabulous Meadow Lark Collection from Prima.

Marie scrapped her beautiful pictures of her dad on a fishing trip.

Susan and her mother Pat are the Cricut queens!!!

Sweet Lisa made this gorgeous white on white 24x12 layout of her garndson Lake when he was a baby.

This picture does not give justice to this work. The base is glitter papers. It was 5 different white laces, a ton of the latest Prima flowers and bling.

There were many more layouts, such as cheerleader, cars, fishing, etc, etc, etc. It was sooo much fun!!!  I always look forward to going back to the Niche. I love you SF girls!!!!!!  Okay...time to go and play some more. Have a happy and blessed day!

I love Prima!

Good morning! Hope you had a fabulous weekend.   Have you seen the new Prima Collections? I must say I love them all! I got to play with them last time I was at the Paper Niche. Here is what I designed with the Meadow Lark Collection.

This little girl is a stamped imaged colored with Copic markers. My friend Liz Martinez gave it to me and I thought she was just perfect for my page! I think I am falling in love with the thought of incorporating stamped images into my layouts.... watch out markers, here I come!!!!

This is the other one I made using the same collection and some large flowers from Petaloo.

My bird has a feather tail! Isn't she  fancy?

Have a great, happy and blessed Monday!

Bunnies at SOUS

Good morning and happy Friday! It's time for another SOUS Die Cut challenge: Bunnies. I couldn't think of better pictures than these ones of Madison Rose for this layout. She was modeling some of the headbands I made for her. She is sooooo adorable! Okay, back to my layout: I used Kate's ABC Cricut Cartridge for the little girl holding the bunny and the brown jumping rabbit. The other white one is from Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge.

Stop by SOUS and see what the other designers are up to this week. You can also join us in this challenge and upload yours at SOUS. Hope you can participate! Have a great, safe, fabulous and blessed weekend!

Baby girl

Happy Thursday! I've been busy  making pages for a beautiful baby girl named Eva.  This is one of the many pink layouts I've been creating for her.

The paper has this tree already printed. I just embellished it a little more with tiny pink  flowers.

I love edge punches! They really add to the pages.

Have a fabulous and blessed day!

I love candy!

Good morning! I am a guest designer at The Bug Bytes today. I made this adorable candy store from My Community Cricut Cartridge (size 10"). I was inspired by these beautiful papers from Best Creations.

Guess who came to visit me today? I haven't seen him in 5 days and missed him sooo much! Andrew is already playing and laughing at everything. He loves his vibrating chair.

He was exhausted after a little while! He took a nap on my table while I worked. It's sooo good to be home!

Have a great and blessed day!

You are lovely

Happy Tuesday! Well, I am back from my weekend in South Florida and even though I love traveling, nothing beats my own bed!!!!

With the daylight savings change, it feels like summer already.  Here's a layout with extra accordion flowers to give the paper a feeling of depth.  And I just love these bright summer colors.

Have a great, happy, fun, and blessed day!

March & April

Good morning!  Hope you had a fabulous weekend.  I am still on the road and today I am teaching these layouts at ESS in Lake Worth, Florida.  I'm in the second & third month of a series of monthly pages

Everyone seems to do St. Patrick's Day for March.  Well, I decided to do a "pre-Spring" page where the trees are still bare and the Spring babies haven't woken up quite yet.

For April, I stuck with the "April showers" theme and beautiful pastel Spring colors.

Have a great and blessed Monday!

Two more layouts

Happy Friday!  Well,  I am back at Paper Niche in Ft. Lauderdale playing with all the new products and I am still posting what I designed for them 3 weeks ago!  So.... today I am speeding it up a little and posting two of them.  This first one is a mixture of  Teresa Collins and Graphic 45.  It's hard to believe that these two papers go together, right?  Well, it looks like everyone is going bright this summer and I love it.

Look at these vibrant colors!

I do not even remember whose papers these are, but I know that I combined them and this is the final product, all ready for a title and photos!

We are cropping 'til we drop or until Sunday afternoon, whichever comes first.  Have a great and blessed weekend!

More than layouts...

Good morning!  I mentioned a few weeks ago that I have been working on a project for a baby shower and nursery since last November.  Well, the baby shower was held last weekend and the baby's nursery is almost ready, awaiting her arrival in about 4 weeks.  This is the banner of her name.  It was used on a panel at the shower and is now on the nursery wall above the baby's crib. It is filled with beautiful trims, papers, flowers, lace and Melissa Frances crystals hang from each flag of the banner.

This is a 5-foot-tall wrought iron bird cage which opens up. It is all decorated with feathers, lace, flowers, rhinestones and crystals.

These are small paper bags decorated with white doilies, tea pot, flowers, pearls and filled with a variety of tea bags.  They filled the inside of the bird cage   Each guest took one of these home as a memoir of Emily Grace's shower.

This is a personalized box made using the metal tape technique. Emily Grace's father used it to give his precious baby girl her first diamond earrings.

The theme throughout the shower was shabby chic.  This was one of the serving table decorations made with lots of Prima lace and flowers.

These were the dress-forms (Kaisercraft) decorating each of the tables. No two were the same.  Fancy wood trim was used to make the shoulders while loads of feathers, rhinestones, trims, burlap, lace, ribbons, tulle, Prima and Melissa Frances goodies embellished them.

The small monogrammed bottles placed around the dress-forms were filled with pink jelly beans and each had a tag that read "Something sweet from Emily".  Each guest got to take a bottle home with them.

There were a number of beautiful crowns made with Prima flowers & Melissa Frances tissue paper garland that the guests used taking group pictures.  Here is the lovely mommy-to-be wearing her very own special crown while posing with two of her new embellished picture frames; the one in her hands with Emily's 3-D ultrasound photo.

My world of paper crafting has been turned upside-down!  As soon as I get a chance to visit the nursery, I'll post some photos.  Have a great and blessed day!

She's a Sassy Lady

Good morning! It's my turn today to design for She's a Sassy Lady.  As is the case for most of you, my #1 creative passion is for scrapbooking and working with paper.  However, there are times where we just have go "outside of the box".  Here is an example of going "outside of the box" (a shoe box, that is); a customized pair of sneakers that would make Michael Jordan envious.

Granted, they're not very practical for a 5k run or a day in the park, but they're just perfect for that very special occasion.

Here is my friend Karen's precious baby, Mary Kate, who turned one-year-old last week, wearing her fancy shoes while she rides a hobby horse that she got for her birthday.

Hope you have enjoyed this idea. Have a great and blessed day!
