Happy Birthday

Happy Wednesday! Do you have any plans for Memorial Day weekend? I am off to Alabama to be with my Hive for 4 days! We are planning to scrap till we drop, eat, shop and then crop some more! I'm glad I am going away because we have rain in the forecast for the next week or so.

This is one of my latest kits dedicated to my sister who's birthday is on the 27th of this month.  I love the unique circular overlay.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Have a wonderfully blessed and special day.

I Am Back!!!

Hello dear friends,

I am back home after spending almost a month in Chicago with our son Danny. In case you missed it, he suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm right after he pitched at a baseball game on Friday, April 20th in Chicago (He plays for the Chicago White Sox).  He had brain surgery the following day performed by Dr. Demetrius Lopes at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Three weeks later he went from ICU to his home!!!

God not only spared his life but is healing him completely! All I want to do is smile and praise the Lord, our Savior and Healer. I can't wait to see Danny share his testimony! Even though we walked thru the valley of the shadow of death, we did not fear because my family and I knew that the Lord went before us

So many people prayed for him. We were overwhelmed by the response of love, encouraging words, help, letters, and helped we received during this trial time. Thank you for all you did for us, most of all, for your prayers.

I am back in business as well! I have been scrappin' again and it feels soooo good to be back to normal.  I have posted a new batch of kits on this blog.  To see them just click on the shopper to the left.  Send me an e-mail to let me know which kits that you would like and I'll get them to you.

Here is my newest favorite photo of me with Danny.

Thanks for coming to my blog today.  Have a wonderful, glorious and blessed day!

Soft and Sweet Pink

Good morning! Just a quick note to share with you these layouts which are very soft and elegant. As always, the pictures don't give justice to the papers and all the layers and details.

I am off to Chicago now. Have a fabulous and blessed weekend! Hug your loved ones and tell them how much you appreciate them and love them. Life is good!

Puppies

Good morning! Hope your week is going amazing so far.  Mine is going well and I am actually very excited because I am going to see my son and his precious family tomorrow until Sunday evening. They are in Chicago for the season. I was told to take winter clothes because even though it's Spring, it's still snowing almost daily up there!

This is one of my latest kits. I used Heartfelt Creations papers. They are all puppies and soooo super fluffy and cute!

Have  a wonderful and blessed day!

Bamboozled by Love

Good morning and happy Monday!  What do you suppose is in store for you this new and exciting week?

Here's a recent layout of mine that I made with my granddaughter in mind, as the panda is one of her favorite animals.  She knows that pandas eat bamboo and, since there is a big grove of bamboo growing in her side yard, has spent a lot of time looking out her bedroom window trying to catch a glimpse of one.  Her brother burst her bubble by telling her that pandas live only in China!

Here's a photo of Andrew and Carolina visiting me in re-hab last year, bringing me a ton of "Panda Love".  This is a perfect photo for this layout.

And this one with our son Danny and Madison hugging before the Father/Daughter dance at her school this year would be make a great picture for this layout, too.  Plenty of love, but no pandas necessary.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day and a super productive week!

Travel Layouts

Happy Friday! Are you ready for the weekend? Do you have any plans? I have my days packed with family activities and also I am taking a Mixed-Media Class on Saturday afternoon. Can't wait to show you what I am up to. I'll post pictures on Monday.

I love to make layouts related to travel. This one was one of my kits in March which sold out very quickly. I take it for granted that I live in the Sunshine State but many of my friends and customers don't. They come down here for vacation to Disney World, beaches, etc. I tried to represent the State with embellishments of this that are common to tourists.

This next one can be used with the one above because you can journal in the State of Florida or mark  the map with your other destinations.

Don't forget to take pictures, specially of your loved ones and make sure you print them! Have a fabulous, fun and blessed weekend.

Teen Life

Good morning! Hope you are all having a great week. Mine has been quite busy with grandchildren, doctor's appointments and life in general. Life is good and so is the Lord!

Here are two layouts I made recently dedicated to teenage boys. They brought so many memories of my Danny as a teenager. His father says that there are "inside dogs" and "outside dogs".  Danny was  most definitely an "outside dog".  He spent those years playing ball and anything else he could get his hands on as long as it was outside; rain or shine. He was a great teenager and never ever gave us trouble in general. I pray I will have a long life so I get the chance to see my grands go thru those amazing years.

Have a fabulous, safe, loving and blessed Thursday!

Sesame Street

Good morning and happy Wednesday!  Here is a layout that I made using some of the Sesame Street characters.  I find it hard to believe that Sesame Street has been around for nearly 50 years!  And the Cookie Monster still likes his cookies.

Thanks for visiting today.  Have a happy and blessed day!

Little Girls Want to Learn

Good morning! Maybe you saw these layouts on Facebook over the weekend already. Well, there's a story behind them. Growing up in Venezuela it was customary to make your little girls learn about sewing, knitting, embroidering, piano, foreign languages (mainly English and French) and of course, choir. Of course, I did it all and then some. My knitting teacher was a lovely lady from the Netherlands that lived down the street from us. It was very common for her to take apart my project and make me start all over again. I was suppose to count stitches!!!

The same thing was with sewing classes. I remember one time I was suppose to make a shirt and I ended up with a robe! The teacher did not even let me finish it. I still have it in my hope chest! I'm sure my grandkids will get a good laugh when their mother tell them the story.

What am I good at? well..... I never took classes for it but God called me to PAPER and over the years He has done an amazing job training me!!!! I love the story in Exodus 31 of Bezalel and Oholiab. In verse 3 the Lord says that he has filled them with the Spirit of God with skill, ability and knowledge in ALL kinds of crafts. I sure have tried a bunch of them and love them all.

Have a wonderful, fun, creative and blessed day!

Just Beat It

It's Friday already! Are you ready for another weekend? Are you cropping? I am sooo ready to scrap, go to the movies to see "I Can Only Imagine", to go to church and of course, to watch some good White Sox baseball on TV.

This is one of my recent kits I made. I love the title! it reminds me of the song by Michael Jackson.  (I'm really not that old.  My mother told me about it.)

Have a fabulous, safe, fun and blessed weekend!

Disney World

Good morning and happy Wednesday! One of the questions I've been asked a lot is if I ever get tired of scrapbooking. The answer from the bottom of my heart has always been "NO!"  The sky is the limit when it comes to putting these layouts together for me. Colors, shapes, embellishments, but most of all is the inspiration to actually put them together. Living only two hours away from Disney World makes it very easy to visit a few times a year. The grandkids love it and so do we the adults!  Here's one layout I made last night.

One of these days I might make a carousel or a Dumbo layout. You do not see those very often.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a fabulous, safe and blessed day!

Addicted to Caffeine

Good morning! Hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend. Ours was fun. We went to church and then for brunch to our daughter's house. The kids loved their Easter Egg Hunt and then devoured their jelly beans and chocolates (and so did we, the adults!).

Madison, Landon and Liam spent their Easter weekend in California visiting their other grandparents.

This is one of my kits this month. It came as a 2-page layout with a bonus single page.

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Baseball Season

Good morning!  It's that time of year again where my nights will be short and my stomach will go into knots quiet often. Baseball season starts today! In case you are new with us, our son Danny plays professional ball. He is with the Chicago White Sox. This is a picture the team took their last day of the Spring Training in Arizona.

Landon (2 years old) is practicing his cheerleading moves for daddy.

And baby Liam (4 months old already!) is modeling his new White Sox Sweatshirt.

Of course I already made the first Baseball layout for these pictures.

Have a fabulous, fun and blessed day!

Easter Layouts

Happy Wednesday! Easter Sunday is just a few days away and I see the excitement in my grandchildren, specially when we go to a craft store. They love to kiss the LARGE eggs and they want me to buy one of each color.  I suspect that they imagine them full of goodies and easy to find on an Easter Egg Hunt!

Here are some fun kits that I made for this special holiday.

And here are Andrew & Carolina with Carolina's friend Allie. Carolina's egg is almost as big as she is!

Besides the fun part of Easter, we celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. What an amazing gift we have in Him!

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Are You Ready for Summer?

Good morning and happy Friday.  They're still having snowstorms in the Northeast and Midwest and it's been unseasonably cool here in Florida.  I don't know about you, but I'm ready to completely pass Spring and get into Summer!

Here are a couple of layout kits that will be released for sale this weekend.  They are At the Pool ...

... and By the Sea, two places I would not mind being once it warms up a bit.

Hope that your week was great.  Have a safe and restful weekend and we will see you on Monday.

True Story

Good morning! I have a great story to share with you today, are you ready?

Truth: I am "machine challenged". I love them all, I have them all and I still do not know what to do with most of them.

In one of the crops I attended recently some of my friends were raving about the latest "Brother Design and Cut" machine. I went home and of course I ordered one. I opened it, sat it on my desk and every time I would try to use it about 10 red lights and 20 alarms would go off! I patiently would turn it off.  I am not good at reading instructions, so I watched several videos.  Unfortunately, my command of the English language would disappear and my eyes would glaze over.  I finally decided to return the machine and get my money back. End of story. (Or so I thought.)

Last weekend I attended Vero Scrapbook weekend event and as I walked in the room I noticed that the BIG prize of the weekend was the same machine. I told Barbara the story, she laughed and she said "God will give it back to you, you will win it". I laughed and silently told myself "I do not want it."  I still bought tickets for the raffle and sometime between Thursday and Saturday evening I lost my raffle tickets! I told Barbara about my loss and she replaced my tickets. Raffle time..... at 10:30 pm on Saturday night I won the "Brother Design and Cut" machine, a newer and better model than the one I returned!  There was no cheating!  Another lady in the room pulled the ticket out of a large bowl. Yes, it was my number!

God has a BIG sense of humor.  He gave it back to me telling me "Beatriz, you can do it. I made you smart, I gave you a sound mind and I will help you".  All the glory to God!

When I got home I gave it to a friend in the neighborhood.  I told her to learn how to use it and then bring it back and show me.  I think that this will work.

I love this layout which I titled Rooted in Christ. I used Heartfelt Creations papers.

Have a wonderful and blessed Thursday!

Fairie Dust

Happy hump day! Hope your week is going great so far. Here is another layout I made over the weekend using one of the Graphic 45 new collections called Fairie Dust. I just love the colors!
Thank you oh so very much for your visit today.  Be sure to hug your loved ones whenever you get the chance.  You never know when they're going to be taken away from you.

Scrap Diva

Good morning! I am back from an awesome weekend in Vero Beach scrapping with friends whom I adore. Since Saturday was St. Patrick's Day, many of us dressed in green and wore Dollar Tree adornments. You can see all the fun pictures on Amazing Grace Papercrafts Facebook page.

I made this layout while I was there. It will be a kit available this coming weekend.

Have a wonderful and blessed Tuesday!

I'll Crop 'til I Drop

Happy Thursday!!! I am off to Vero Beach to attend a  4-day crop sponsored by Vero Scrapbook Store. The theme is St. Patrick's Day and, of course, I have special green outfits for the occasion.

As one of the vendors, I will be offering my kits for sale. I will also be designing new ones so stay tuned to my FB page.

These layouts are perfect for some of our pictures.

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Coastal Life

Good morning! I thought I'd share a tropical layout today even though we are having temperatures in the 30's at night for the last few days!

Have a fabulous and blessed day!

Forever

Happy Tuesday the 13th!  In my home country Tuesday the 13th is the same as the Friday the 13th in the U.S.  We have a saying in Spanish: "Martes 13, ni te cases ni te embarques"  (Don't get married or travel on Tuesday the 13th).

This was one of my kits last month. I never get tired of clocks.  I love them all. My house is full of them and setting them for Daylight Savings is always a process.  The base paper in this layout has multiple clocks so the transparency looks great over them.

Have a wonderful and blessed day and remember not to get married today or travel anywhere! hahaha.

Hot Rod Heaven

Good morning!  I hope you had a lovely and restful weekend.  Mine was petty busy with the family.  My husband owns a 1923 T-Bucket hot rod and on Saturday we went to a local car show.  I made matching outfits for Carolina and Andrew (with flames, of course) and they looked sooo cute!  A reporter from a local magazine took pictures of them to feature them later on in the month.

Guess who was there.  Do you remember the 60's TV show "The Munsters"?   Well, Butch Patrick, the child actor who played Eddie Munster showed up.  And he brought a couple of the Munsters' hot rods with him.

He sure looks different these days!  My husband also got to meet Jay North, the original Dennis Mitchell from Dennis the Menace.  He lives in a small town about 35 miles north of here and just decided to stop by.

My friend Elisa from Srappin Every Memory designed this overlay for my pictures. Of course the original is for me and I will make 5 kits as well.

Janet Gaar from kitz2go and I started our Group Page on Facebook called "Team Genius" Scraps. Make sure you ask to join. We are posting our kits, our customers and friends are posting their layouts and we also have prizes, giveaways, contests, inspiration,  and much more.

Have a fabulous and blessed Monday!
