School Years

Good morning!  While it's true that school is out for the summer, this is the absolute best time to scrap those school days photos.  After all, it your student has just finished middle school, all of the school snapshots from this point forward will be from high school.

Here are some layouts that I have made recently for a person who is scrapping their child's school photos.  It was a lot of fun and it brought back memories of when my own were going through school.

Wow!  Pre-school through high school and then off to college in just 18 pages! Hope that you enjoyed this project.  Have a wonderful, safe and blessed weekend.

On the road again....

Good morning!  Here are a couple of layouts that are perfect for vacation photos.  This first one is for a road trip.  I've kept the colors manly, by I think it will work just fine for anybody's road trip pic's.  I can almost hear Willie Nelson singing ...

This next one uses browns, as well.  I also incorporated a metal camera, a metal watch, and some subtle flowers so as not to scare the men away.  Notice how the photo mats look like postage stamps.

Well, I hope that you enjoyed these two layouts.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

A moment in time

Good morning!  Here is a layout that I made from a sketch that I found on Scrappy Sketches Blog.  It was a 1-pager that I "stretched" into a 2-pager so that larger photos could be mounted.  I love the combination of yellows and black.

This is a layout that I made for A Scrap in Time titled "Timeless".  It features many little clocks.

I hope that you enjoyed these.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Summer Fun!

Good morning!  Summer is here and so are the gorgeous new summer collections.  I designed these layouts for A Scrap in Time.

Madison and Andrew are loving every minute of summer.  They are both in swimming classes and have taken to the water like little fishes!  Here they're both having fun at the pool.

I want you, too, to have a fun-derful and blessed day.

Colorful Birthday and Circus Layouts

Happy Monday!  Hope you had a great weekend.  I am sharing two bright and colorful layouts today. This first one is all about birthday celebration.  I designed it for Paper Niche a few weeks ago.  I love the banner embellished with the flowers.

This is a layout I designed for Andrew's scrapbook. We took him to a circus about two months ago, and I am still scrapping those pictures.  All of the animals, clown and ringmaster were cut with Animal Kingdom and Paper Dolls Dress Up Cricut cartridges.

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Ahoy Pirates

Happy Friday!  Are you ready for  the weekend?  I am!  My husband and I are off to Alabama for the weekend where he will be teaching a Cricut Workshop at Hobby Lobby.  I know that the participants will have a lot of fun with him and will definitely learn a lot.  Among the participants, there are two couples signed up!  The ladies are taking their husbands along to make sure that between the two of them, they'll be able to remember all of the technical stuff!  We hear from so many crafters that they still have their Cricut unopened in the box because they're intimidated by all of the buttons. I can actually relate to that because if it wasn't for my brilliant and supportive husband, I'd be lost too!

Today's layouts are about pirates, but not really.  With titles like Treasure and Friends are a Treasure, almost any picture will work.  This first one is a kit I designed for Paper Niche.

This second one is a kit I designed for A Scrap in Time.

Hope that you enjoy these.  Have a wonderful and blessed weekend!

Boys will be Boys!

Happy Thursday!  I hope you are having a great week so far.  I designed this layout for Paper Niche a few days ago and it is all about boys.

I die cut the tags out of printed paper and resisted the urge to use any flowers.

I must say I was inspired by baby Andrew who is growing by the minute!  In my layout I used words such as cool, tough, lovable, funny, etc.  The truth is... he is all that and more! He's already 17 months old and is into everything!  He loves to explore, touch, smell, feel, smile and get into everything.

Here are some of my favorite pictures this week.  Here he is leaning up against a tree at a farm he likes to visit to see his friend, Penny the cow.

Behind her pen is a field of wild flowers.  He's just as happy smelling the flowers ...

... or touching the water at a local water park.

You can tell my heart melts with my grandkids, right?  This is what scrapbooking is all about Treasuring every moment we can with the people we love the most. Again, thank you for stopping by and for all your support and always kind words. Have a beautiful and blessed day!

I Love Bees!

Good morning! I've been playing with a few stamps lately and have been trying to incorporate them into my layouts.  Here's one with papers and stamps from CTMH.  The hexagons are cut out with a Sizzix die.  Put several of them together and you get "honeycomb"!

I love the chickenwire stamp. I used it as a base on the tags, then inked the edges and then embellished them.  (My DH, who works at the HD, tells me that chicken wire is now called "poultry netting".  He says that the ducks, geese and other barnyard birds felt left out.  In this age of political correctness we need to be more inclusive.)  The bees in this one are wooden.

Here's another layout with bees all over.  The bees in the "honeycomb" are stamped.

And here's one more. The burlap flowers are cut out with Sizzix dies.

Have a wonderful and blessed Wednesday!

This is a layout I designed for Paper Niche last time I was there.  The papers are from Simple Story.

Have a fabulous and blessed day!

Timeless and Ancestry

Good morning!  Hope you had a lovely weekend.  Ours was very peaceful and restful, I must say.  We celebrated Father's Day going to church and having a delicious brunch at a local restaurant.

Today's layouts are all about preserving those old photos that we have packed away in shoe boxes somewhere in our closets.  We forget about them, don't we?  Yes, there are awesome papers and collections out there that are perfect for them and reflect the things and times of the past.

This first layout is using papers from Kaisercraft. The large clock is made out of wood and is about 6".  I remember my grandfather's armoire in his bedroom.  It looked like the one here on the right hand side.

These collection is also from Kaisecraft.  I love the large frame on the left hand side.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a fabulous and blessed Monday!

Family

Happy Friday! Today's layout is a mixture of Webster and Prima.

There's nothing like family.  I just love to make layouts with that title. Here are some fun pictures we took when we were all together on Mother's Day weekend in New Orleans. This is Lexie, our DIL and Madison and our daughter Valerie and Andrew. We dressed them alike in baseball gear for every game we went to. They were just adorable!

These are my two children, Danny and Valerie with their babies Madison and Andrew. They are only 4 months apart.

And this is one happy me!!!!! I just can't stop smiling whenever I am with them.

Treasure every moment with your loved ones. Families are a gift from God and so often we take it for granted. Have a wonderful and blessed weekend!

You Are My Type!

Good morning!  If you show this layout to anyone under 30 years old, they will have no idea what these things are.  Check out any garage sale and you can find them for a couple of dollars.  We're talking about typewriters, and this layout is loaded with them!  In addition to the printed paper, I've got the Tim Holtz die cut vintage typewriter, about half a dozen small wood ones, and a metal one.

Here's the same title, taking it in a different direction.  Double low-fat mocha frappuccino with a twist anyone???

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Fun by the Shore

Good morning! I've been enjoying my Cricut machine lately. This is actually my second version of a layout I did last summer with the same title.

I used Copic markers to add a little color to the pelican.

Seahorses are a must, right!

Hope you are inspired to use those Cricut cartridges more and more! Have a great and blessed Wednesday!

Legacy

Happy Tuesday!  Today's layout is a combination of Kaisercraft papers from the Sweet Nothing Collection,  beautiful wooden pieces, flowers and bling. Browns and blues go so well together.

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Summer time is here!

Good morning!  Hope you had a fabulous weekend.  Even though it's been raining non-stop for almost a week, I still scrap Summer layouts!  Valerie, baby Andrew and I are planning to hit the beach next Saturday.

I had lots of fun making these layouts.  I used Viva Stone Art (202) to make the swirls look like sand. This product is awesome!!!!

You can see it better in this larger swirl.

Thank you for stopping by!  Have a fabulous and blessed day!

Hunting

Good morning!  I designed this layout for A Scrap in Time.  Even though it is soooo not deer hunting season in the Florida panhandle, folks are always looking for someplace to scrap their hunting photos from last season.

I am actually here at ASIT this weekend for a two-day crop.   Make sure you stop by if you are in the Crestview, Florida area!

These are the layouts I taught at Everything Scrapbook & Stamps last Sunday.  Surprisingly, there are a lot of hunters in South Florida, too!

Have a wonderful and blessed weekend!  We'll be back on Monday.
