More New Orleans Layouts

Good morning!  Here are four more layouts that I designed for the crop in New Orleans a couple of weeks ago.  Designing these layouts was a fun and interesting challenge.  All of the papers and embellishments had been purchased by the group in advance.  I had a fun time putting them together for the layouts that everyone made during the weekend crop

Have a wonderful and blessed weekend!

New Orleans Layouts

Good morning!  Here are some of the layouts that I designed for a crop in New Orleans a couple of weeks ago.

All in all there were eight different layouts that these wonderful ladies made over the weekend.

I like this one a lot.  It looks like Santa is still in his "jammies", getting ready for Christmas.

I hope that you have enjoyed these.  We'll have more tomorrow.  In the meantime, have a wonderful and blessed day.

Disney Princesses

Good morning!  After a couple of days of "boy" layouts, it's time to get back to girls!

My friend Janice asked me to design a page for her using Disney Princesses.  This is what I made for her.  I left spaces at the bottom between the princesses for pictures of her daughter. She will be a princess among princesses!

You can see the colors & details better in these two closeups.

Hope this layout inspires you to make the favorite girl in your life feel like a princess.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

More Boy Layouts

Good morning!  Today's layouts are all about boys.  These papers are from Michael's and they are super cute!  The gears are cut from Tim Holtz Sizzix dies and are made out of chipboard and then painted.

These papers are from ADORNit,  also available from Michael's. You have no idea how hard it was for me to not add any flowers or much bling (I snuck in a few rhinestones) to this layout!

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Baby Boy Layouts

Good morning!  I hope that you had a fabulous Thanksgiving weekend.  Ours was filled with laughs, great food and love.  God is so super good.  He gave us family and friends!!!

Today's layouts are all about "boy".  I got to play with an entire paper pack that a friend of mine from New Orleans bought and asked me to make some layouts for her grandson-to-be.

She was making diaper invitations for the baby shower, so I took one of them and put it on the layout (upper right corner).

Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Black Friday is Here!

Happy black Friday! Oh yeah, I am one of those who doesn't sleep Thanksgiving night. We have made it into a family tradition. My children and I dress in black (it's BLACK Friday, right?), wear Christmas hats and shop all through the night and into the day!  Sometimes we'll come home with a $3 coffee maker from Target or five Cricut machines from Walmart because I get caught up in the frenzy!!! (I took them all back later, of course).  I find it a thrill to venture into the crowds trying to save a dollar or two!

Yes, one year I was the SNOW QUEEN.

Today I am sharing this project which I made for a lovely lady from New Orleans last weekend. She is giving it to her sister and niece for Christmas.

So as you're reading this I'll be running from store to store, looking for bargains.  With enough rest on Saturday and Sunday, I'll be back at this blog by Monday.  Have a wonderful and blessed weekend.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Let them give thanks to the Lord for His unfailing love and His wonderful deeds for men,
For He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.
Psalm 107:8-9

Be sure to take time during this busy holiday weekend to actually pause and give thanks to Him who through all blessings come.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Happy Wednesday before Thanksgiving

Good morning!  Here we are the day before Thanksgiving, preparing for another wonderful holiday celebration with family and friends (as well as making our plans for Black Friday sales!)

I designed this layout for Paper Niche the last time I was there.  I really enjoyed "Stickling" the turkey and turning him into a beautiful peacock (LOL)

Here is a layout I designed this past weekend in New Orleans for a special "mother-of-the-groom".  Her son is getting married in two weeks and she wanted to make a special layout for the occasion.

Here's a closer view.  The lace used is from her mother's "stash".

Kay created this beautiful card.  The illustration is stamped and then colored in.

I am thankful for friends and for the women that the Lord has sent into my life.  Have a fabulous and blessed day!

Thanksgiving Week

Good morning!  I just returned from an amazing weekend in New Orleans.  I was invited to teach at a weekend crop sponsored by the SCRAP-A-TEERS, a wonderful group of ladies who get together on a regular basis to scrapbook.  Since this week is all about Thanksgiving, I want to thank the Lord for the gift of friendship and creativity.  I am also so thankful for all of you who have become part of who I am and part of my scrapbooking family.  Every time I am in one of these events I find myself surrounded by fabulous ladies!

Thank you Charlene and the rest of the SCRAP-A-TEERS for your love and hospitality.

Here are some of my Thanksgiving layouts for this week.

mmmmm .... I can't wait to eat apple pie a la mode on Thursday!

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Beach layout

Good morning!  Yes I know that it's the middle of November, but just like Jimmy Buffet says that "it's 5 o'clock somewhere" ... it's most likely "beach weather" somewhere, too.

Starting tomorrow I'll have some Thanksgiving layouts for you.  Have a wonderful & blessed day!

Cookie time!

Happy Friday!  Today's layout was made for Paper Niche.  The green flowers are from BoBunny.  The cookies and cookie jar are from the Sesame Street Friends Cricut cartridge.

They look good enough to eat!!!

Thanks for visiting my blog.  Have a wonderful and blessed weekend!

Antique Chic

Good morning!  This is the new collection from We R Memory Keepers called Antique Chic.  It is fabulous!  Love, love, love the colors.  I designed both of these layouts for Paper Niche using the same collection and yet they are so different from each other.

This first one features a die cut chipboard Weathered Clock from Tim Holtz, cut in half.  The lace and florals give this layout a feminine look.

This one, on the other hand, is very manly.  I used a die cut chipboard Old Jalopy from Tim Holtz and a lot of brown and umber.  I threw the turquoise feather to break things up a bit, but it still goes nicely with the light green background and mats.

Have a great and blessed day!

All Star

Good morning! Today's layout is all about sports. I designed it for Paper Niche last weekend. The colors are not very good in this picture, sorry about that.

These pictures are much better and you can see how beautiful the colors are in this collection.

Have a great and blessed day!

Monkey Business

Good morning! These have to be my favorite pictures of Andrew and Madison together. One night they  wore matching monkey "jammies", blankets and headbands. They tried to take each other's ears and blankets even though they both had their own!  It was the cutest thing ever.

I made this layout for these pictures and filled it up with monkeys.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a fabulous, fun and blessed day!

Carousel

Happy Monday!  A new week and a new day filled with new mercies from the Lord.  Yay!.

When I went to Boston  a few weeks ago, my daughter and I had a great time taking Andrew around. One of our stops was the Harbor where they had this beautiful carousel.  This is the picture that inspired my layout today.

I made this carousel using the Artiste Cricut cartridge from CTMH and embellished it with some 3-D stickers, flowers and bling.

These are some close up pictures.  I also used Stickles

Football fun!

Good morning! Who said  football layouts have to be boring?  Echo Park has this  awesome paper collection. The young man in the pictures is Cage, my friend Linda's grandson. She asked me to design these pages for her and I had so much fun with it. Great colors and perfect words to go along with the pictures.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful and blessed weekend!

Peanut Festival in Dothan, Al

Good morning!  Dothan, Alabama is known as the Peanut Capital of the World, as 1/4 of the entire U.S. production of peanuts comes from the surrounding area.  Every November, Dothan hosts the National Peanut Festival, the largest of its kind anywhere.  This year the festival runs from Nov. 2 through Nov 11.

My friend Peggy asked me to design a layout for her. When I saw the pictures I knew I had to make a peanut!

Here's my peanut, good enough  to eat, right?

Here is Mary Kate Cook, the daughter of a very good friend of mine.  She is a precious and very active Miss Twilight. She's following in her mother's footsteps as a beauty queen and hopes to someday be Miss (or Little Miss) National Peanut Queen.

She is 18 months  and carries her crown well!!!!!

My friend Peggy made this gorgeous layout.  The photos are when a group of us took a trip to a crop at Treasured Memories in Lafayette, Louisiana

Have a fabulous and blessed day!
