Star Wars

Good morning and happy Tuesday.  Unless you live in a cave, you must have heard about the new Star Wars movie and all of the records it's setting.  It's hard to go to the store these days and buy something that doesn't have Star Wars on it.

My DH & I just celebrated our 38th anniversary two days ago.  We were remembering that on our honeymoon in 1977 we went to the theatre and saw the first Star Wars movie.

So I decided to join in and make a Star Wars layout.  Here it is ...

And here is one of the pictures that's going onto it.  This is me and my entire family dressed up as Star Wars characters last Halloween.  I'm the fighter pilot next to Darth Vader.  My DH is the Wookie to the right of me.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day and "may the force be with you".

The Joy of Christmas

Good morning and happy Wednesday.  I hope that your Christmas week is going well,so far.  Just two days to go.

Christmas is a joyful time.  We are joyful in celebrating the birth of our Savior, He who came to Earth to die for our sins.

It's also a time to enjoy the innocent joy in young children as they experience gifts of another kind.  Here are a couple of photos of two of my grandchildren preparing for Christmas.  Here they're anticipating what might be in these brightly colored boxes.

And here they're trying to decide which ornaments to put on the tree.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!  I look forward to your visit tomorrow, Christmas Eve.

All in the Family

Good morning and happy Tuesday.  Hope your week is going well, so far.

Here's a picture of my amazing daughter-in-law with her new Cricut Explore Air.  She's beaming!

And here she is (still beaming) coming out of Hobby Lobby with her husband who seems to be suffering from sticker shock.

And here's a beaming Landon who seems to be saying "Crop On, Mama!  Crop On!"

Here's another Christmas layout that I made yesterday.  I've been totally inspired these days!

Merry Christmas Santa!

Good morning and happy Monday!  The first day of Christmas week!  Only four days until Christmas!

Here's a layout that I made over the weekend.  The tree is a shiny 3D sticker that I have been using a lot recently.  When I found it, I bought them all!

Dressing for the Seasons

Good morning and happy Friday!  Hope that your week has been great and that you're ready for the weekend.

Here's another recent layout of mine where I used Julie Nutting dolls.  They are so versatile.  They can be dressed up and accessorized to match any season or occasion.  I've loved paper dolls since I was a little girl.

And speaking of little girls and accessorizing, here's one who makes a mad dash for my closet every morning when she arrives to put on and then accessorize one of her princess dresses.

Eight Days Until Christmas

Good morning and happy Thursday!  I want to share with you today another two Christmas layouts that I've just designed.  After all, there are only 8 days left until Christmas!  That's a week and a day!

And here's a picture of Carolina spoting her Christmas cold weather outfit on a recent visit to Chicago to visit her great-grandparents.  She's such a doll!

Pink Christmas

Good morning and happy Wednesday!  How is your week going so far?  Well, I hope.

Here's a new Christmas layout that I made using colors other than typical reds and greens.  The papers are from the Blue Fern Studios Vintage Christmas collection.  The flowers are from Prima.

Happy Birthday, Valerie!

Good morning and happy Tuesday.  Yesterday was my daughter Valerie's 35th birthday so we decided to celebrate by going out to dinner.  My sister and niece drove up from Ft. Lauderdale to join us.

Here I am with Andrew and Carolina.  Andrew is proudly wearing his spiffy new sport coat and showing off his colorful flashing rubber octopus.

And here we are exactly 33 years ago on Valerie's 2nd birthday.  None of us has aged a bit!

Happy Birthday again sweet Valerie. We LOVE YOU!!!! Here's a layout I made for these special photos.

Ugly Sweater

Good morning and happy Friday!  Hope your week has been great.  I'm excited because I'm off to Dothan, Alabama today to Christmas Crop with the Hive for a couple of days.  Fun, fun, fun!!!

This layout is dedicated to festive holiday sweaters that have come to be known as "Ugly Sweaters".  We all know what they are and only get to use them around Christmastime.  Then they get put away until next year. Are any of you going to an Ugly Sweater Party this year?

Thanks for stopping at my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day and a safe and restful weekend.

Deck the Halls

Good morning and happy Thursday!  I hope that your week is going well so far!

Here is a recent layout and kit that I made.  I always liked the expression "Deck the Halls", but I was never quite sure what it meant.  I knew what a "deck" was and what "halls" were, but never could figure what the two had to do with each other.

Baking Cookies

Good morning and happy Friday.  Yahoo, another week comes to an end!  Do you have big plans for the weekend?  I actually don't.  I'm going to a card class this afternoon but have no big plans for the weekend.  Maybe I'll just stay home and scrap!!!

Here is another favorite activity of mine, baking cookies with my grandchildren.  Since they're still fairly young, they get bored easily with the mixing and stirring so we mostly end up making cookies out refrigerated dough.  They do enjoy cookie cutters and  decorating, so we spend our time on that.

Perhaps I made you hungry.  Thanks for stopping by my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day and a safe and restful weekend.

Snowmen

Good morning and happy Thursday!  OK, so I live in Florida where "snows rarely goes", but I did live in the midwest for a few years and have seen the stuff.

My goodness, I do remember back to the time more than a few years ago when I saw snow for the first time.  I went outside with my roommates at the time to play in it.  We were outside for several hours.  All I had on my feet were warm slippers and I had no gloves.  I was in bed for three days after that trying to regain the feeling in my hands and feet!

Fast forward four decades and here are a couple of snowmen layouts that I just made.  I especially like the snowman family inside the snow globe.

Thanks very much for visiting my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Good morning and happy Wednesday!  First of all I would like to thank all of you for your support on the latest batch of Christmas kits.  I sold out of all but 4 and all of those left are the originals!

Here are the two kits which sold the quickest!

Which tells me that maybe I'm going to have to make more Christmas kits.  So it's back to the studio I go!

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!
