I am back!

Good morning! I am back after a beautiful weekend at Treasured Memories in Lafayette, Louisiana. There most be something in the papers that make ladies happy, fun & creative.  At only her first crop, look how wonderful her pages turned out!!!

These are some of the layouts I designed for several of the croppers.  This first one is very "boyish" with strong colors and textures.  There ain't no girlie-boys in Cajun Country!

This 12 x 24 is going into a shadow box.  The collage of vintage and modern photos was done in sepia, so we kept the colors of the papers  and embellishments complimentary.  There are seven sets of twins in this family!  So far, that is!

This is from the Enchanted BoBunny collection.  The frames are for 5 x 7 photos.  This layout will be part of a wedding album that will stay with these colors throughout the entire album.

I will have more pages from this crop in the upcoming days.  Be sure to check back in throughout the week.

This is how my precious daughter-in-law Lexie welcomed us the first night of the crop when we came home at 2:30 am.

And the second night......

She made us some chocolate covered strawberries too. I felt so welcomed and loved! Thank you Lexie!!!!!

I got to spend all the Sunday with my grand-baby Madison Rose who turned  5 months yesterday.  She is already sitting and crawling!!!!! She is soooo cute!

I am so thankful to the Lord for a beautiful weekend, for the gift of friendship and for bringing me home safe and sound. Have a great and blessed day!

Snowman

Happy friday! It is time for another challenge at Stuck On Us Sketches. Our theme for this week is SNOWMAN. I live in Florida and as you know, we get no snow. We went to a park over the holidays and saw these adorable inflatable snowmen and pose with them. I used the cricut to cut my big snowman out.

make sure you stop by http://stuckonusketches.blogspot.com/ so you can see the other designer's take of this challenge. Have a great and blessed weekend!

Altered box

Good morning!  Mindy from Pretty Little Paper Love and I played a lot when we were together at The Paper Niche earlier this month.  As I told you before, we love to challenge each other.  She chose this square chipboard box with a mini-album inside. Mindy did the outside of the box and I did the mini-album inside. This is what we came up with at about 2 a.m.

Mindy did a fantastic job choosing & combining all of the fabrics, papers, flowers & lace.  She is most definitely the Queen of Clustering.

Here is a view of the chipboard mini-album inside.

When you are working with great products from Basic Grey, Pink Paislee, Prima & Kaisercraft, it's easy to come up with beautiful projects.

It's amazing what you can do with something as simple as a cardboard box, isn't it! It is being displayed at the Paper Niche for those of you who live in South Florida. I am on the road again...... I will be at Treasured Memories in Lafayette, Louisiana this weekend. Can't wait to see all my friends there! Have a great and blessed day!

"Sweet"

Good morning!  Guess who came to visit me yesterday?  Baby Andrew, and he was wearing the cutest pants with bears on his feet!  He is growing so fast and he is starting to wear newborn size clothes already!

I made this layout with a bunch of left overs.  Can you believe that?.

I stamped and embossed in white a bunch of hearts in different sizes and styles.  Then I cut them out, popped them up and made a banner with them.

You can see all the different papers I used here.

This is a piece from a Melissa Frances paper. I love her papers!!!

I hope this layout inspires you to create with leftover papers!!! Have a great, happy and blessed day!

New friends!

Good morning!  I had the privilege yesterday of spending the day with a group of fabulous and talented ladies in Dunnellon, Florida.  Karen was the most amazing hostess and she closed the class by giving each one of the participants certificates which she had made with her Cricut.  I got to sign them.  Everyone got an A+!!!

This is one of the layouts we did during our class using BoBunny's Sweet Tooth Collection.  I just love how the browns contrast and bring out the vivid pinks & blues!

Have a great, sweet (to go with your "sweet tooth") and blessed day!

Love is in the air.....

Good morning! Hope you had a great weekend. Have you seen the new Basic Grey Kissing Booth Collection? It is fabulous! I got a chance to design this layout for Paper Niche earlier this month. I love the pinks and browns together.

I cut out a bunch of hearts and made banners.

Tree of love

Good morning! I have a friend at Paper Niche whom I love to crop with.... her name is Mindy! She challenges me to the max! One of her many talents is altered items and she also scraps 8 x 8 layouts. At about 11:30 pm on Saturday night we decided to embellish this Kaisercraft Wooden Family Tree.

This is our Valentine Tree two hours later!!!!!

We painted the wood brown and then embossed it with Bronze Metal Art thick embossing powder, and it just gave it amazing texture.  Then we decorated the little ovals with the fabulous new Kissing Booth from Basic Grey.  Here are some close ups of them!  Mindy decorated this miniature Tim Holtz bird cage.

This is another one of Mindy's creation. This bird is sooo cute! He is delivering mail love!

This one is one of Mindy's favorite. She loves how she made it like a little shadow box with the lace around the edges.

Mindy used bloomers for the back of this one medallion.

I made the following three medallions. Mindy is really inspiring me to work with very small pieces!!!!

Our beautiful creation is on display at the Paper Niche for those of you who are local in South Florida, and it's so much prettier in person!!! Stop by Mindy's  blog so you can see more of her fabulous creations. As a matter of fact, she was recently published at the Cricut Home Decor magazine. You can see it HERE.

I will be teaching at the Hobby Lobby in Dothan, Alabama this weekend. I am so looking forward to seeing my friends there, I miss them soooo much! Have a great, restful and blessed weekend and thank you for stopping by!

Prima Wood Frames

Good morning!  I was at the Three-Day crop at Paper Niche in Ft. Lauderdale this past weekend and got to play with the fabulous Prima 12" x 12" wooden frames.  I made these two samples for the store.

The great thing about these frames is that they come pre-painted; ready to be embellished!  Also, there is no glass so you can add as much depth as you'd like!

Ana made two gorgeous frames for her house using Teresa Collins Carolina Breeze Collection.  They turned out very elegant, don't you think?

Pam made this one for her mother who loves purple.

Guess who came to visit me in my new studio yesterday!  Andrew and his mommy!!!  I spoiled them rotten all day.  It was rainy and cold outside so it was a perfect day to stay inside in our jammies.  During one nap, Valerie was snoring so loud that I decided to "rescue" Andrew and bring him over to my studio.

Be happy, smile non-stop & have a great, fabulous and a blessed day!

Raggedy Ann is here!!!!

Good morning! I am happy to be back at the The Bug Bytes after a little break over the holidays. I found this beautiful paper from Creative Imaginations and I had to have it!!!! My daughter Valerie loved Raggedy Ann and Andy. The theme of her second birthday party was them.

I cut out this beautiful Raggedy Ann with  Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge size 6".  I made her hair with red yarn.

Hope this layout brings you beautiful memories from your childhood. Have a great and blessed day!

Happy Monday!

Good morning! I hope all of you had a fabulous and restful weekend.  Are you all caught up scrappin' your Christmas pictures yet?  No?!  Well then it's time to get going!

I am starting a new series of layouts that will be month-to-month. At the end of the year there will be a layout for every month.  This way we can highlight the important events of our lives during that month. Here are the two layouts for January and February.

Everybody loves the idea of a "White Christmas", but might not care much for the cold and snow in January. That's why I'm calling this a "Winter Wonderland".

February is all about love so this layout is filled with hearts, flowers, birds, cupid and a banner. There's even room for notes and small pictures on the calender.

These are the layouts I will be teaching today at Everything Scrapbook & Stamps.

Have a great, happy and blessed day!

Winter fun!

Good morning and happy Friday! Stuck On Us Sketches has a new challenge this week: Winter Fun!

This is the layout I made for this challenge. We do not get snow in this part of the world but we do get to wear some winter clothes when it gets down to 30 degrees! I went to a Christmas fair and bought this cute  hat knitted by this sweet lady.

I played with stickles and puffy paint for my letters.

These swirls are made out of chipboard which I painted and then inked.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you get a minute to stop by SOUS and check out what the rest of our very talented Design Team have been creating..  Have a fabulous and blessed weekend!

Tea 4 two

Good morning! Hope you are all having a great week. I am so happy to be back to scrapbooking and teaching. It's been a busy season, that's for sure! I made this layout with beautiful Webster papers,  a touch of  Echo Park (Victoria Gardens) and Prima flowers.

Liz Qualman notified me that one of my layouts was featured at the My Little Yellow Bicycle Blog. Yeah!!!! I am sooo happy! Have a fabulous and blessed day!
