Caribbean Night Crop

In the middle of Plantation, Florida and in a hot and rainy summer night we had another fabulous crop night! The theme this weekend was "Caribbean Night". Aida was in charge of the food and her choice of menu was great! We had fried plantains, rice and beans, curry chicken, salads, fruits and she made beautiful lollipops with a Paper Niche tag! How sweet and creative was that... I made the layout with the cricut (of course!) and prima leaves. It was cute and colorful. I love to crop with friends! there's nothing like sharing such a precious hobby with great, fun, loving, and creative women!

Worship during fiery trials

<
We had a friend at Church from Korea who had cancer. PoSon did not have anyone in the US except her church family. We all came together and helped her until she went home to be with the Lord. Her sister came from Korea 9 days before she passed. They haven't seen each other in over 11 years. Tomorrow morning is her funeral. I made some cards to give away and couldn't think of a better scripture for her than the one I wrote: "These are the words of the First and the Last, who was dead and came to life: Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life" (Rev 2:8, 10). I stamped a little crown of course! PoSon was a prayer warrior, an intercessor. Even though she didn't even have the strenght to walk anymore she still worshiped God and she still prayed for all of us!. What a living testimony of God's amazing grace and love! "Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?" (1 Cor 15:55).

Cricut class using Life is a Beach Cartridge

I taught a very fun class tonight. They all agreed on a theme and a cricut cartridge. We made a 6 x 6 card using Life is a Beach. We cut leaves and the hibiscus flower, very bright and Summery. They learned the secrets of paper piecing: ink, pop, layer, crumble, stickle, bling and mix colors! Then we played with Graphically Speaking and they loved that one too. Another day comes to an end....filled with the peace and joy of the Lord. Thank you Father, thank you!

He loved his shadow box!

Mr. Julio loved his box! I wish I had taken a picture of his face when he first saw it. He felt so honored! You have to know Mr. Julio... he is from Cuba, makes Cuban coffee every afternoon for all of us at the school, tells us story after story of his life growing up in Cuba, and loves to bring us fish on Mondays so we can cook it for him! Yes, he is a character, a very loving character....

Shadow Box

Tonight I made a shadow box for a friend at work. I did not realize how meaningful they are! He wanted to preserve his fishing hat, some fishing hooks and display a picture of himself holding one of his treasured possessions. I was able to fit it all in and still make it look pleasant to the eye. I will give it to him tomorrow. Hope he likes it as much as I do!

Stuck in the 70's Crop Night @ the Niche

We had a 70's crop party tonight @ Paper Niche and I must say Tammy was THE BOMB.....
She truly went back into "space & time" and wore this "fashionable" outfit that would have made John Travolta drooled....Karen and Debi were fabulous with their outfits (can you believe they actually sell "YELLOW" pantyhose?????). Maeven doodled all night and made a great page! Sometimes I wonder what in the world would we be doing on a Saturday if scrapbooking wasn't invented? Thank you Lord for the gift of creativity!

Cricut on fabric!

My sweet friend June Street from Baton Rouge taught me how to transfer cricut images onto fabric. She made this apron and t-shirt that are absolutely adorable. I made a black t-shirt with the large daisy and it came out pretty good considering it was my first one. I found this video on how to make them step by step:

It's summer time!

Janet had an adorable "It's Summmer Time" scene at the store. Her class was this beautiful layout and I also made a cricut one using Zoobaloo, life is a beach and doodlecharms cartridges.
