Two More "Convalescent" Layouts & My Very Special Walker

Good morning and happy Wednesday!  Well, I continue to make forays into my studio for scrapbooking and other fun activities.  Here are two new layouts.

But here is my newest pride and joy.  It's the end result of the combination of a studio full of things, a hot glue gun, a very boring walker and absolutely fabulous pain medication!

It still needs bicycle streamers, a horn and who knows what else!  I cannot wait for the next event.  The only problem is that it won't fold up anymore so I'm going to have to make some modifications or it won't fit into my car.

Thanks for visiting today.  Have a wonderful, blessed and creative day!

Autumn May Finally Be Here

Good morning and happy Monday!  We finally had some cool weather here this weekend which put me in a good mood to scrap some Autumn layouts.  Here are a couple.

And here are a couple of Autumn photos of me and my friends Linda & Peggy a few weeks ago during their visit here.  What a great time we had!

Thanks for stopping by today.  For those who ask, I'm getting healthier each day and even made a trip out of the house yesterday for a couple of hours.  And getting back into my studio for a while has become a daily event.

Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Unicorn in da House!

Good morning and happy new week.  I was released from the hospital last night and when I got home I was greeted by two surprises.  First, the house did not look like there had been a four-day frat party while I was in the hospital and, second, my husband had put up a 6-foot tall lighted unicorn in the living room.

Right away I decided that it needed to be moved to my bedroom.  He replied that it was an "outdoor lawn ornament" and that he had merely put it together inside the house for simplicity.  "I can show you the box where they call it an outdoor item and not a toy!" he said.

Too bad.  My sister unplugged it and put it in my room where it's going to stay until I say otherwise.  No way I going to let it get rained on or have dogs pee on it.

Here is my sister moving the unicorn.

Here it is and here it will stay!

I'm planning on taking more photos when my granddaughter shows up today.  Here's the layout where I'm putting the photos.

Happy Thursday!

Good morning! I hope everyone is safe after Michael. All my friends from the Hive live in the area where the hurricane hit the strongest. Everyone is fine, so far and praise God, but with lots of damage to their properties.

Well, today I am having my 7th back surgery. This time they are putting screws on both hips (SI Joint) and expanding the screws and fusion all the way to the tailbone. I have been dealing with chronic pain for the last 9 months and every day it gets worse and worse. I am tired of hurting 24/7! I am in the hands of my Healer Jesus, as well as an amazing neurosurgeon, Dr. Greg Sheer. I am all packed up and ready to get fixed! My grandchildren helped me packed my bag and most of my unicorns are in, as well as my unicorn headband, unicorn pj's, unicorn everything. Oh yes, they told me that they will bring me cookies and balloons to the hospital.

Have you ever see the movie "Life is Beautiful"? It came out back in 1997 and it won all kinds of awards.  The story line goes like this: In 1930s Italy, a carefree Jewish book keeper named Guido starts a fairy tale life by courting and marrying a lovely woman from a nearby city. Guido and his wife have a son and live happily together until the occupation of Italy by German forces. In an attempt to hold his family together and help his son survive the horrors of a Jewish Concentration Camp, Guido imagines that the Holocaust is a game and that the grand prize for winning is a tank.

It made an impact on my heart back then of how everything in life depends on the attitude you have towards everything. Move the clock to today, I find myself playing a game with Andrew (6) and Carolina (4). I told them that a good doctor is fixing my back so I can go canoeing, bike riding and swimming with them. I made sure that  my hospital room will look like a unicorn dream room and that they will see the good in all of this instead of worrying about their "Lita".

My sweet neighbor gave me this to drink after I come home. She knows I love unicorns and smoothies, the perfect combination!

In one of the crops I attended last weekend I bought a sunburst template from Creative Memories and I love it! I made these layouts using it.

Please pray for me for a fast recovery and also pray for the people who has suffered loss in the storm. I am praying for you as well. Blessings and be happy!

Heartfelt Creations Honey Bee

Good morning and happy Wednesday.  I hope that your week is going well so far.

I have been working with the Honey Bee line of papers from Heartfelt Creations.  They're kind of a cross between and insect and a fairy.  They're absolutely adorable.

Here are a few of my layouts.

What a great time I'm having with this line!

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

I Am Back

Good morning! I am back home after being gone two long weekends in a row. I attended two amazing crops. The first one was Scrap Central in Orlando and the second one was Vero Scrapbook and Events in Cocoa Beach. They were both awesome and if you follow me on FB I'm sure you have seen some fun pictures there.

I made several layouts and here are a couple of them.

I just love the detail on these metal roses.
