It's Friday Already?

I can't believe it is Friday already... Today it's another great sketch challenge at Stuck On Us Sketches. This sketch is from Page Maps.

I converted it on a double page layout (of course!) and tried to keep it as close as possible to the sketch. The large butterfly is a Prima mask which I painted with Tattered Angels' glimmer mists, then stamped and embossed. I went through my pictures and I noticed I was always wearing turquoise and that is how my title came to be.

My sweet and dear friend Peggy came to visit me yesterday and we had a lot of fun scrappin' the day away. These are the layouts we made.

Have a fabulous and blessed weekend!

I love yo-yo flowers

Good morning! I found the coolest thing at Hobby Lobby last week. It is a pre-patterned fabric to make yo-yo flowers. All you need to do is cut around the printed stitching, stitch and pull. They are made by Daisy Kingdom Craft Kit.

DAISY KINGDOM YO-YO ROSETTE KIT! BLUES-GREENS-BROWNS

I made this layout for my daughter Valerie who loves plain and flat pages and was able to use three of my yo-yo flowers. These beautiful pictures were taken during her ski trip to Colorado last week.

Do you see the pretty large flower on the right? It is a coaster from Hobby Lobby too! You can find them where they have party supplies. They have a large variety of them and they are perfect for our pages. Have a fabulous and blessed day!

Headbands modeled by the one and only..Baby Mary Kate!

Good morning!  Princess baby Mary Kate and her mother Karen came to visit me yesterday afternoon.  I can't believe how much she has grown!  She just turned two months old and she is adorable.  Her mommy and I played and made these headbands for her.  At first she seemed to enjoy modeling them, but by the end she had fallen asleep!

This one is to match her beach attire.... pink, white and black bikini.

This one is to match her hunting t-shirt.

Did you notice her pearl bracelet? She is my type of friend...

These are my newest kits available this week. This first one is called "Mom".

This one is called "Honey, Bee Happy"
.

And this one is "Miracle Baby".

Happy Tuesday!

Good morning! I made this layout combining Butterfly Gardens from Pink Paislee and Once Upon  A Spring from Graphic 45. The leaves are from one of  Tim Holtz ' dies which I cut out of white paper, inked, stamped and embossed. I layered them with punched branches and rhinestones. I also used twine for the top of my cage and of course, a white doily.

Here is a close up of one of my clusters.

It's a great day.....

Good morning!  Hope you had a fabulous Easter weekend.  I am feeling better and stronger by the minute. Again, thank you for all your well wishes, love, prayers and thoughts.  They mean the world to me.

I got to scrap a little this weekend and I felt so happy being back in my studio!  I made a bunch of paper dolls in different colors and sizes and put them in a box so when I need one, they are ready for my pages.

I made this one for my grand-baby-to-be Madison Rose and called it "Mommy & Me at the Park". I imagine her holding her mother's hand & her "osito" (little bear) just like her father did when he was little!

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Happy Friday!

Good morning! I am  back after a health scare on Monday evening. I spent that day playing with my friends Deidre and Peggy but not feeling all that well. In the evening I felt very bad, ended up in the hospital with signs of a stroke and sure enough, stayed there until last night. Thank God there is no permanent damage and it was only a warning. This precious picture was taken just before we left Deidre's house. It touched me to post it because we can be together one moment and be separated forever in a twinkling of the eye.

I scrapped these pages on Monday for my friend Peggy as she keeps working on her heritage album. Her pictures are all great and her album is coming along absolutely gorgeous!

I made this page too which was going to be my class tomorrow but it is now postpone until next week.

Have a blessed and fabulous weekend! Do not take for granted time with your loved ones and friends!!!!

Fabulous friends!

Good morning! This layout is filled with happy faces from Treasured Memories in Lafayette. I used papers from BoBunny, Pink Paislee, American Girl, Teresa Collins and who knows what else!!! I also made yo-yo flowers, they are so much fun to make!

Happy Monday!

Good morning! Hope you had a restful and wonderful weekend. This is the layout I made combining  Webster and  Prima papers. This is my daughter Valerie playing with her camera before she went out to dinner.

The dress forms and butterflies are the wood flourishes by Kaiser Craft, I love them!

I have very good news to share with you... Paper Niche  has asked me to design a monthly kit for them.  I created these layouts with all the goodies in the kit! It is filled with the new Prima flowers and bling, papers from Creative Imaginations and embellishments such as  ribbons, lace, swirls, chipboard and more! There are only ten available and you can order this kit directly from Paper Niche HERE.

We had a great time at our class/crop last Friday. Abby loved her page and all the techniques she learned. She is a very talented young girl, I was very impressed with her. Peggy held Mary Kate and wanted to take her home! She is growing by the minute!

Have a great and blessed day!

A lot to share today!

Good morning!  First of all,  Stuck On Us Sketches has a new sketch today by the one and only Liz Qualman.

I turned the sketch into a two-page layout and it worked!  I love these pictures of my husband and  our son. My title "Farquhar sweet world is always fun" is the total truth!  When these two guys are together they are either playing, joking or hugging!  These photos were taken last fall in Arizona on a hike up a mountain.  Stop by SOUS to join our challenge and to see the other designers' work.  They are all great inspirations.

Peggy and I played all afternoon yesterday.  I went through her boxes and, of course,  found some truly gorgeous stuff!  I am so glad that she is the "queen of scrapbooking-everything" and that we have the same taste!  She is into genealogy so she has been printing pictures of her ancestors dating back to the late 1800's.

All afternoon scrapping and we can still manage to smile for the camera!

I love clustering!!!!

Peggy was about 7 years old in these pictures (these ones are not from the late 1800's).

Can you tell that we like flowers and bling?

Can you believe this photo was "photo-shopped" about 100 years ago?  Her great-great grandparents were photographed separately and they combined them into this one portrait.

My cheap camera didn't capture the fabulous colors of this page. These are greens and blues in different shades.  (I hope my husband follows my blog and gets me a new camera for Mothers' Day!)

Have a safe, fabulous and blessed weekend!

Happy day today!

Good morning sunshine! (and even if it is cloudy/raining where you are, just remember that the sun is still shining above the clouds!). This is the layout I will be teaching tomorrow at Hobby Lobby. I used Timepieces from BoBunny, Tattered Angels chipboard, Teresa Collins metal frame, Prima bling & flowers, etc. The title is "Time with You" but I will actually let the students pick out their own title.

This mini-book is incorporated in the layout. Sometimes we have so many pictures of the same event and we really do not want to make another page, so I thought this would be a good idea to have them all together. This book would actually  have to be glued unto the protector page.

I was pretty busy yesterday making these layouts and I have to decide if they will be kits or classes, don't know yet. This one is made with the fabulous Modern Homemaker Collection from October Afternoon.  So cute!  I made recipe cards which are hidden behind the photo frame, see them? (cake, pie, soup). This will be a great page for grandma's pictures and favorite recipes.

This mini house is made out of chipboard!

The "From the Kitchen" title is from the "From My Kitchen" Cricut Cartridge (that was funny). This cat looks like our cat  Alfie. Did I tell you we have a cat whom I adore but despise his hair? And he has extra toes!
.

Wouldn't you like to look like this when you are fixing breakfast for your kids every morning? (check out her pearls!  Just like June Cleaver!)

This layout is made with a fabulous new line  from Pink Paislee called Soiree. I love the colors, so perfect for this time of year. Do you see the bottle caps? I told you (yesterday) they make great embellishments!

Have a blessed and happy day!
