Layouts using "Lost & Found" from My Mind's Eye

I have been playing with some of the new papers from My Mind's Eye  -Lost & Found Collection-. These pages will be displayed at Paper Moon for a little while. Click on the page below so you can see my doily made with MS punch, it has three layers of the same paper.

I made all the flowers below using punches and water! The blue ones  sure look like Prima, don't they?

Have a wonderful  and restful evening!

Cards for the soldiers and Scrapbooking Class

It has been a busy week and wonderful activities! On Tuesday evening I was a guest speaker at my Church "Women of Virtue" Ministry and  had the privilege to share my testimony with about 40 women. God is soooo good and faithful! When I think of His amazing grace my heart melts...

Then on Thursday my husband, Siobhan and I visited our friend Karen's class and made cards for the soldiers with her students. They had so much fun! They cut, colored, punched and stamped!!! We will mail those letters to an entire troop and each card will have a picture of the child who wrote it.

Above is Karen  and below is her precious cargo.

Then last night I taught a class where everyone made three layouts and it was so much fun too! These are the pages they made.

Have a blessed and wonderful weekend!

Sketch and color combo challenge

This week's challenge at The Pink Elephant is a color combo challenge (green, yellow and white) along with this sketch.

This is my take. I made the banners using a triangle punch then layered them with green paper and then trim them with scallop scissors. I could not fit them as a banner so I placed them one up-one down.

Stop by their site (TPE) and see more great pages from the other designers. Have a blessed and fabulous day!

1500 watts as a heat embossing gun!!!!!!

I know this is my third post of the day but I just found out about this and needed to share it with y'all!!!!

If you love heat embossing as much as I do you need to check this out..... the regular embossing guns are 350 watts BUT  the heat guns used for painting, wallpapers, etc, etc are 1500 watts and they work as well  for embossing. The big news? They do the job in a fraction of the time!!!!!!!!! They heat up soooo fast that your embossing is dry and done before you finish blinking.

I am armed and dangerous....
now I have two guns in my hands!!!!!!!

You can find it here and they are half off today and tomorrow!!!!!!

My husband is an enabler... as soon as I shared the news with him he ran to the store and surprise me with one! Of course I was jumping and screaming  and immediately I had to share it with y'all! (how do you like my "southern accent"?).  Have a great and fabulous evening! Luv y'all!

Paper Poppy Kit Challenges

Double posting!!!!! Aphra from The Paper Poppy Kit Co. has two challenges due today and I have been so busy I forgot about them!  One of them is to scrap whatever it is that we love about summer.  I made a page about Moses, my daughter's dog, having fun at the beach. He sure loves the water! I made the circle out of different edge punches. I was inspired by Aphra's strawberry mini album  which she posted yesterday.

The next challenge is to follow this sketch created by Liz Qualman. Again, I used more pictures of Moses at the beach. The colors of these papers are so pretty!

T-shirt with Tim Holtz flowers & Canvas bag

Look what I made yesterday! A t-shirt using Tim Holtz  Sizzix die called "Tattered flowers". I cut the flowers in canvas and cotton, layered them and then sewed buttons in different sizes.

I also made this bag! They were on sale at Michael's for $.79. I painted it first, then sprayed some Tattered Angels  glimmer mists, stamped it and embellished with Prima flowers. I changed the straps and used ribbon with stitches for mine. Both projects were very easy to make and so much fun! They make wonderful Christmas presents. Let me know if you make some, okay?

Have a blessed and fabulous day!

Stampin'Up! Cards and "Wings of love" page

Good morning! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. I have a lot of goodies to share with you today. I went to a Stampin' Up! workshop on Saturday and we made these lovely cards:

I also made this page using yellows and blacks, it is the first time I scrap these colors! My inspiration was the tag I made last week. I think I would love to make it into a class.  There are so many cool techniques! It will be a 4-hour class for sure.

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

"Card Queen and Scrapbook Queen" birthdays

What can you give to a person who loves to make cards and to another one who loves scrapbooking for their birthdays????

Happy Birthday Donna and Martha!

These are 12 x 12 pages ready to be framed. I used Story Book Cricut Cartridge  to cut out the letters and the crowns. The letters were 2" and the crowns were 3". I embellished them with Prima rhinestones and flowers, Tim Holtz' swirls,  MS border punch at the bottom and Stampin'Up! papers.

Have a wonderful and restful day!

"My angel, my sister"

Today I played with my Paper Poppy August Kit for the Stuck On US Sketch weekly challenge. Here is the sketch by Liz Qualman.

Here is my take. I had so much fun with the circles! Take a look at the large one. I punch several squares from the different papers and made them into the large circle.

This wing is stamped then embossed, painted again and embossed again. The small felt pink rose is from a Sizzix die. My friend Abby from Texas made it for me. I am so in love with them that I ordered the die on line last week... can't wait to get my hands on it! The green and pink flowers are crochet.

I cut out the word SISTER on my cricut using Storybook cartridge.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a blessed, restful and wonderful weekend.
