Hello from Crestview!

Good morning and happy Friday!  Today I am at A Scrap in Time in Crestview in the Florida panhandle designing and playing with some amazing and creative ladies. I will be posting on Facebook all the layouts I make during the weekend and you can see them here on ASIT's Facebook page.

In the meantime, here is a layout that I made for the arrival of a baby boy.  I guess you can tell that I'm in a baby kind of mood these days!

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed weekend!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT.....

Good morning!  I have something to share ... in September we are going to have grandbaby #4!!! Our son Danny and his wife Lexie are having their second baby and we are thrilled, happy and blessed beyond words.  Madison Rose wants twins!  This is the photo of her they used to announce their big news.

I happened to design these sets of baby layouts last weekend at Treasured Memories, one for a baby boy and one for a baby girl.  Which one do you think we will need?  I myself think it's going to be a boy.

Have a wonderful and blessed Thursday!

Bee Mine

Good morning and happy Wednesday!  I hope that your week is going well so far.

You know, sometimes having a not-so-common name can be a good thing.  In my case, it's good because there are so many things that can go along with Bea, like the title of this layout that I made this past weekend at Treasured Memories.

I have many decorative things around the house that are bee-themed and I love them all.  If my parents had named me Camille, instead, I would have camels or if they had named me Paloma I would have doves.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

It's Never Too Soon for Summer Fun

Good morning and happy Tuesday.  It might be too early to be starting to think about Summer, but for those of you living in places where Winter is not about to loosen its grip, you're probably wondering what took so long.

Here are a couple of beach layouts that I made this past weekend at Treasured Memories.  I hope you find some inspiration!

Layouts for Youngsters

Good morning and happy Monday!  Here are a couple of layouts that Janet and I (aka Team Genius) made this past weekend at Treasured Memories in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Here we are planning another layout.  It was late and we were kind of punchy.  That's why our petting zoo was going to have a big snake!

I Love You, Mom

Happy Friday!  Welcome to the weekend, everybody!  I trust that you had a great week.

Here is a layout that I made a couple of weeks ago titled I Love You, Mom.

I mentioned the other day that I will be spending a few days cropping at Treasured Memories.  Yesterday was Doll Day where I was working on doll layouts for doll kits.  And who would have guessed that these two "dolls" showed up.  (Ain't we adorable?)

Thanks for visiting my blog today!  Have a wonderful and blessed day and a safe and restful weekend!

Animal Layouts

Good morning, everyone!  Only a few weeks ago, my grandson Andrew was absolutely crazy about the solar system.  They seemed to be all he thought about.  His mother even made him a "solar system" cake for his 3rd birthday.  These days he's found a new passion; animals.  What started out as a small cloth bag of plastic miniatures has blossomed into a nice sized collection of small toy animals.

So I decided to make a couple of animal layouts with Andrew's help and supervision.  He even told me that I couldn't put a panda in this first layout because the panda was from Asia, not Africa!  (I snuck Mickey Mouse in while he wasn't looking!)

This next layout is all about monkeys and titled simply "Monkeying Around".

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  I hope you got some inspiration.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

An "Amazing" Combination

Good morning and happy Wednesday!  As you read this I am on my way to Lafayette, Louisiana for a 3-day crop.  It will be nice to get away for a few days after a hectic several weeks.  I'm leaving my DH in charge of the grandkids for three days.  Let's see if he makes it!

Here is a layout that I made yesterday which is a combination of BoBunny and My Mind's Eye papers.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

School Days

Good morning!!! Today is our son Danny's 28th birthday. No matter how old he is he will always be my baby! Happy birthday son, we love you!!!!

Here is a layout that I made for school photos and memories.  This paper line is from Webster's Pages.  I absolutely love the colors.  The blue jean pockets were cut on the Silhouette.  The cards in the pockets are made so that you can write on the front and put a photo on the back.

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day, a very special day set aside for love!  Here are three loves of my life:

3-1/2 year-old Madison

3 year-old Andrew and his 1 year-old sister Carolina

But let's not forget the greatest love of all; God's love for us by sending us is Son.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  John 3:16

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

I'm In a Pink Mood

Good morning and happy Friday.  You know, you always hear about people being in a "blue"  mood  at the beginning of the week.  Well, it's the end of the week so that means that we should all be in a "pink" mood.  I know that that's where I'm at!

He are three layouts that I finished yesterday using a lot of pinks.  I hope that you enjoy them!

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  I hope you had a great week and wish all of you a safe and blessed weekend!

Selfie

Good morning and happy Thursday.  Today's layout is dedicated to the self-taken photo or "selfie", where the photographer actually gets to be in the picture.  The die-cut cameras and film strips were cut on the Cameo Silhouette and the View Master reels were cut out  with a Tim Holtz Sizzix die.

Most "selfies" are of one or two people, taken at arms length with a cell phone and passed around on social media.  Here's a way to print them out and share them in a scrap book.

Here is some "selfie" trivia, courtesy of my DH.  The first known "selfie" was taken in 1839 in the early days of photography.  In those days it took a long time to take a photo so this fellow was able to uncover the lens, wait for the glass plate to be exposed and then cover the lens.

And this "triple-selfie" by Norman Rockwell from 1960 was done with paint.

Thanks for visiting my blog today and  I hope that you are inspired to make some of yoou own!.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Good morning!  Here are some fun Disney layouts I made recently.  I used the same papers for all four layouts.  They are from Queen and Company.

Scrapping Moments in Time Inaugural Crop

Good morning.  I hope that you had a great weekend.  I spent my Saturday at the Scrapping Moments in Time inaugural crop in Ft. Lauderdale.  What I great time we all had!

Here is a group photo of the 60+ women at the event.  A terrific time was had by all!

And here is a picture of me with Ana Beato, the lovely and talented woman who organized the event.  She invited me to set up a table and design original layouts and help scrappers with theirs.

And here I am with my niece Gabriela who lives in the area.  I brought her along as my helper.  She is wearing an apron given to me by my BFF Peggy.  And I'm sporting a shirt made by Nelly.  She actually made it using her Silhouette machine.  Absolutely incredible!

Here is one of the layouts that I designed.  I titled it Gratitude.  After all, we need to be grateful to God for everything in our lives.  That includes the bad with all of the good.  Everything is a blessing from God.

Thanks for stopping by to my blog today.  For more pictures of the event you can click on the link at the top of this post.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Scrapping Moments in Time

Happy Friday! Are you ready for the weekend? I sure am! I get to go back to South Florida, spend time with my sister and attend the grand opening of Scrapping Moments in Time  event on Saturday, yeah!!!! This is my beautiful and dear friend Ana , the founder of this venture. We met several years ago doing what we love to do: SCRAP!

The one-day event will take place at a Marriott Hotel Conference room in sunny Ft. Lauderdale. Look at those beautiful palm trees and blue skies!  Ana has planned monthly theme crops. You can see the dates on her Facebook page at Scrapping Moments in Time or send her an e-mail here for more information.
This is the layout (kit) I designed exclusively for this event. Attendees will be able to purchase it on site.  I will be designing new kits  throughout the day as well. Be on the lookout! I will be posting them on Amazing Grace Facebook   as I make them.

The Make-n-Take is this beautiful tag which I used on a layout to show what you can do with it besides using it as a bookmark, gift tag, etc.
I will tell you all about it next week. Please keep Ana and me in your prayers as we want everyone to have a great, fun, peaceful and memorable time. Have a wonderful  and blessed weekend!

Sisters

Good morning! Hope your week is going great so far. This is the layout I made yesterday  in honor of my precious sister Andreina. For hose of you who know me... remember I said I had a family emergency last week and had to travel? well..... read on!

My sister  went in for an emergency appendicitis and almost lost her life! It's a crazy story! The whole ordeal got complicated with an infection, had to have a second surgery and a drain put on her and on top of that her lungs collapsed! We are soooo thankful to God for all His provision and for sparing her life. We are also thankful to all the doctors, medical staff and hospital. They were  amazing. This is her resting peacefully at the hospital and  of course we had her in style! Pretty blanket, pretty jammies and cute turtles! She saw  a bunch of them crawling up the wall of the room (pain pills DO work!!!!) LOL

Our cousin Margarita (left) came all the way from Venezuela to be with us. She is like a sister to us and has always been there thru  thick and thin.

It was a loooooong and stressful week as you can imagine. Do you know how I handled it? (besides praying of course). I took a bunch of scrapping supplies and kept myself busy! Nurses loved coming into our room and doctors asked us if we had  moved in!

I have to remind myself how fragile life is! I do not ever want to take for granted my family and friends. They are a gift from God and our job is to love them unconditionally just as He loves us. I pray you do the same. Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Have a wonderful and blessed  Wednesday !!!

Hello Tuesday!

Good morning and happy Tuesday! I can't believe it's February already...time to celebrate love! I have soooo much fun seeing all the chocolates and cute animals everywhere you go!
Here are two more layouts I made recently. This first one is one my latest kits. The girls are from  Unity stamps. I colored them with Copic markers.

The clock and the lamppost are the new dies from Kaisercraft. My favorite color combo? Yes.... aqua/teal/tiffany blue and red!
I will be attending the Grand Opening event of  "Scrapping Moments in Time" as a Guest Designer this coming Saturday in Ft. Lauderdale. I am soooo excited to see my SF friends, can't wait to hug them all! Don't you just love your scrappin' buddies? They are the best! Hope you have a wonderful and blessed day filled with the joy of the Lord!

Two New Kits

Good morning and happy Monday!  I hope that everyone had a safe and restful weekend.  I myself am coming back home after spending 10 days with my sister as she recovered from emergency surgery.  She just got out of the hospital this weekend and a cousin of ours came to town to relieve me while my sister recuperates at home.

With every batch of kits, I try to make one or two that are less girly and frilly.  Here are two recent kits that fit that description.  The first one is title The Woods.  I've put in all the things (including bugs) that are found out in the woods.

This next one is titled Chimps in Space.  I had another title in mind, but my husband suggested this one in homage to the recurring skit Pigs in Space from the old TV program The Muppet Show.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day and week!
