SOUS Sketch and BasicGrey June Bug

What a fabulous sketch this week by  Aymee Gandy (Southernbellescrapper) for StuckOnUSketches!
I used BasicGrey's June Bug papers and embellishments and scrapped a picture of my daughter and her husband taken after running a marathon in Jacksonville 2 weeks ago. I had so much left over paper that I did two more pages! Here they are:

Creative Scrappers' Sketch

This is Creative Scrappers' sketch for this week. I admit I am in love with CIRCLES!!!!! I love to make pages using any type of circles and  Nikki Sivils' "Willow Bee" papers were perfect for this sketch. Happy Tuesday!

Maya Road Pocket Binder Album

I shopped till I dropped at Paper Niche last Saturday!!!!! One of the things I bought is this cute canvas mini album from Maya Road. She has the coolest stuff... chipboard galore, canvas stuff, embellishments, etc, etc, etc, and they are very inexpensive too! This is what I did with it. I still have to add pictures. Enjoy!

Class at Paper Niche

I am home after a wonderful weekend in Ft. Lauderdale. I taught the Canvas class at Paper Niche for the second time this year and everyone loved it. It was great to see so many friends and also meet new ones. Here is a sample of the project they made, it was full of techniques and wonderful products. Paper Niche will post more pictures on their blog later on in the week.

We started with an 8 x 10 framed white canvas and a flat one for the cover.

This is the front cover. The hinges are gold and so is the knob.

Here is the inside. It holds a 41/2 x 61/2 mini album.

Cricut class at Paper Moon

Ms. Sarah had a great time learning to use her new Cricut Expression this morning. She made an Easter layout using Doodlecharms and 3 "people" (her parents and herself) using Paper Dolls Dress Up for her Heritage Album. This is her second class and I see she is getting so good at it very fast!

Tomorrow I travel to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida,  to teach at Paper Niche on Saturday afternoon and will be back home next Monday. Have a blessed and wonderful weekend! I will catch up next week.

Winter pictures

I can't believe it's Thursday already....time is just flying.....I am going to say like Moses said in Psalm 90:12: Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
These pictures were taken in Atlanta over the Holidays. It was very cold but we had fun. Happy Thursday!

Paper Niche Sketch Challenge

Today Paper Niche (http://paperniche.blogspot.com/) posted their very first Sketch Challenge and it was perfect for my "thousand" wedding pictures I still have to scrap! I used Martha Stewart's papers which matched the color of my top. The large parenthesis is a big chipboard piece from "Technique Tuesday".

The Women Ministry at our church hosted  a dinner last night celebrating  Missions. Our Church chose the country of  "Venezuela" since they support missionaries there. I am the only native from Venezuela at our church so they asked me to bring something from my home country. I brought my wedding dress and my grandmother's hand made embroidered tablecloth. I also cooked  my grandmother's "chicken pie" recipe. Steve wrote the word Venezuela with pastry on the pie! Someone asked me if I still fit on my dress and I laughed.... today, after looking at the picture of me standing by the dress33 years later I laugh again....

You "toad" me....

I couldn't think of a better title than 'You "toad' me'.... I used the new cricut cartridge called Once upon a Princess to cut out my toads (frogs). I sewed the circle and embellished the page  with hand crochet flowers, felt flowers, lots of ribbons, buttons, rhinestones, Prima leaves, foamy flowers,  and  stamped and embossed the dragonfly on the upper left corner. Happy Tuesday! (again...).

"My Little Blook" Sketch

This is another beautiful sketch from Liz Qualman (http://lizqualman.blogspot.com/). I scrapped one of my favorite pictures of all time... me and my daddy when I was 3 or 4 years old. This picture is over 46 years old! This sketch was just perfect for it. I had to adjust my sketch a little bit because I used on of Teresa Collin's journal papers which is one big piece. Happy Tuesday!

Paper Niche Monday Challenge

Paper Niche's Monday Challenge is flowers (http://paperniche.blogspot.com/). Check them out! You could be their winner this week! I did this layout using Moxxie's new line called "Baby Mine", which I bought at Paper Moon last Saturday. I used 2 of the same page, took them apart literally and put them back together making it a two-pager. The rabbits are layered using pop ups. I used Prima flowers, pearls and rhinestones. I also stopped by my Dollar Tree store and bought a package of doily (yes, for cakes!) and used one as the main focal point. I cut out the center and placed  the green paper instead. My butterflies are stamped and embossed with copper and black embossing powders. The colors of the base are dark but the whites, pinks and greens make it very soft. Have a wonderful, blessed and happy Monday!

June Bug BG Saturday fun

I taught a "technique" class this afternoon at Paper Moon and one of the things they did was to embellish chipboard. So  they made a bird house using the June Bug collection from Basic Gray. They also used different die-cut machines. The bird is from Sizzix Hello Kitty collection. We made his tail out of ribbons. This is Joy's page that we put together at the last minute. It was another wonderful day at Autumn and Roger's awesome store! (Yes, baby LT was there learning the art of embellishing....). Have a blessed and wonderful weekend!

A very productive Thursday....

My goal today was to scrap more of my son's rehearsal dinner photos and my favorite picture of my niece Gabriela. She was praying at the last  Pro Life march in Washington DC.
