Pumpkin Spice Latte - The First Sign of Fall

Happy Tuesday! Hope you are enjoying the change of season. Here in Florida, even though the outside temperatures are still in the 90's and the trees are green, we know that it's Fall because all of the chain restaurants are offering their pumpkin products!  There's pumpkin coffee, pumpkin cake, pumpkin spice this, that & everything!

We used to live up north in Southern Indiana and I remember fondly the changing leaves in Brown County and elsewhere.  How beautiful it was.  Now we have to close our eyes while we sip our Pumpkin Spice Lattes, remembering those days.

Here's one of my new kits that has those beautiful Fall colors that I remember so well.  the background paper reminds me of a drive through Brown County State Park.

Thanks for visiting my blog today and reminiscing.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Cousins Make the Best Friends

Good morning and happy Monday!  I hope that you had a great and restful weekend.  We had a very nice time as a cousin of mine and his family came to visit.  He's actually my cousin's son, but that's still a cousin.  I used to babysit him when I was a teenager and they were up here in Gainesville from Ft. Lauderdale visiting their daughter at the University of Florida.  I don't have to tell you that this makes me feel old!

I also released yesterday a new batch of scrapbook kits on this blog.  If you haven't seen them yet, just click on the happy shopper to the left.  This month's Family Series kit is titled Cousins Make the Best Friends.  What an appropriate title!

Take some time to check out these new kits.  Send me an e-mail to let me know which ones you would like to buy.

Thanks for all of your support.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

China Layouts

Happy Friday! Do you have any plans for the weekend? I actually have family visiting from out of town and I am so excited to host them!

I recently made a custom order for a friend who traveled to China during the Olympics. That must have been an amazing adventure! She told me that in addition to watching some of the competitions, they were able to do a lot of sightseeing

Have a wonderful, happy, safe, fun and blessed weekend!

Dinosaur Birthday Party

Good morning! Hope your week is going amazing, so far. Madison Rose turned 7 years old last month. She is crazy about dinosaurs just like her two brothers and cousins are. She wanted them to be the theme of her party, which took place at a Bouncing Park. Lexie wore the cutest skirt ever to be in tune with Madison's outfit. They are some of my favorite fashionistas!

Danny decided to entertain the kids riding his dino as well.

These were the goody boxes everyone got as a present as a thank you for coming to her party.

Lexie's mom (the other grandma) made this beautiful cake! It had three different flavors, including the volcano made with rice crispies. It was yummy!

And of course, I already made a layout for some of these pictures. This is actually one of my new kits this month.

Birthday celebrations are the best ever! Have a fabulous, ferocious and blessed day!

Track and Field

Good morning! I have been making lots of sports layouts lately (new batch of kits). This particular one brings sooo many memories of my children growing up. They both ran and competed all the way to high school. I used to cheer my daughter Valerie and tell her "run my little deer, run"! Almost like run, Forrest, run! right? She tells me that she still hears my voice when she jogs, especially when she is running out of fuel.

I was told yesterday that I have to have another back surgery. They will extend my pins(lower back) and put screws on both hips. Ouch, it sounds painful! I'm glad they have amazing "happy pills" to help me go through it once again. It is scheduled for October 11th. Please keep me in your prayers.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a fabulous, happy and blessed Tuesday!

Long Distance Bible Journaling

Good morning! Hope you had a great weekend and were able to relax and enjoy the goodness of the Lord. I was able to get a lot done! I did a little bit of shopping, cooking, cleaning and worked on several new kits coming out next weekend.

Last week I started teaching my niece's 8 year old daughter, Aminah,  about Bible Journaling. They live in Turin, Italy. We use Facetime and we spend about an hour together 3 times a week. She loves it! She is a very talented little artist and most importantly, she loves Jesus.

This is her take on Creation.

This is her take on the Fruit of the Spirit. I love the expressions of her girls! Sooo super cute. Aminah is tri-lingual. She speaks, reads and writes, English, Spanish and Italian. They are moving to Germany next month and we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that German will be her 4th in no time at all. She is one precious and bright little girl!

In another part of the world, there was some filming going on at Danny's house in California this weekend. They were doing a documentary of his journey for the Joe Niekro Foundation gala in November. Danny has been invited to be the keynote speaker.

Lexie is a natural in front of the cameras. She is our very own movie star!

My dear friend Tatiana had this custom made for Danny. It is sooooo cute! They did an awesome job making it look like Danny. Even the  box had printed pictures of him throwing out the first pitch after his brain surgery. What a thoughtful and meaningful present this is. Thank you, Tatiana!

Well, no layouts today to share but only memories of happenings in our family. Like I said before, I will have over 30 new kits coming up this weekend, so stay tuned! Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Once Upon a Time ...

Good morning and happy Friday.  Hope you have had a great week.  This one has really flown by for me.

I had some "princess" papers and wanted to make a layout for my grand-daughter who has a number of princess outfits.  I asked her for help but she couldn't make up her mind so we made a composite with many of them.  Here is the result.

However, in spite of her princess outfits, she still wants to be a pterodactyl for Trick or Treat (she has that out fit, too!)

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Are You Ready for Some Football?

Good morning and happy Tuesday!  It's hard to believe that it's already football season; youth, high school, college and professional.  Seems like everybody has a team that they follow.

Here are a couple of recent football layouts of mine.

Thanks for visiting today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Happy Monday!

Good morning dear friends! Hope you had a great and restful weekend. I was able to make my rounds to Michael's, JoAnn's and Hobby Lobby this weekend to see all of the new seasonal decorations as well as take advantage to some amazing sales. I am ready to start working on the new September kits. I will have about 25 new ones by the 25th. Can't wait to get my hands on so many new products and papers!

Wedding and anniversary layouts are always popular during this time of year. Here are two I made recently.

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

A Very Cool Day

Happy Friday! Hope your week was productive and amazing. Yesterday we celebrated another grandbaby's birthday. Landon Alexander turned 3 years old.

This is a layout I made recently inspired by the beauty of summer here in Florida. I know it's been raining a lot and it's very humid but everything is sooo green, bright and colorful! I love it.

Have a wonderful, safe and blessed weekend! Come back on Monday for more family and  scrappin' inspiration.

Thursday already

Hello dear friends! I am back home and all rested up after my trip to California. I hope you never get tired of my posts sharing family adventures and posting cute pictures of the little ones. This blog has become a personal journal for me and my family. They love it when "they make it" into the blog! Well, scrapbooking is about preserving memories, right? I guess I do both right here.

When I was a little girl, our next door neighbor had some chickens for fresh eggs as well a couple of roosters to keep the hens happy.  Every morning without fail those roosters would wake up the neighborhood earlier than anyone wanted to be woken up.  I find it amusing that roosters in the U.S. say "cock-a-doodle-doo" when they crow while ours in Latin America say "ki-kiri-ki".  Go figure.

Here's a layout that I made with the early morning advice to "Rise and Shine".  Some morning I will say, "OK, I will rise but I'm not going to shine!"

Thanks for reading my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

It's a Zoo in There!

Good morning and happy Tuesday.  I had a great time in California this week with my son and his family.  Yesterday we went to the mall and, while there, took rides on "wild jungle animals".  I have to confess that this is my type of zoo; no heat or humidity and no bugs.  There's no animal smells and the next meal is as close as the food court!

Here's Madison on a panda.

Landon and me on a cow

And Liam on a tiger.

Here are a couple of layouts where I can put these photos.

Thanks for visiting today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!
