Happy Birthday, Madison!

Good morning and happy Friday!  I hope that you have big plans for the weekend.  I'm headed out to California for the 3-day weekend to visit my son and his family.  Yesterday was his oldest's birthday.  She turned 7.  Her brother Landon turns 3 next week.  We're going to have a big party to celebrate both birthdays.

Here are a couple of recent layouts where I'm going to attach the pictures!

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful and blessed day and a safe and restful weekend.

Working at the Car Wash

Good morning and happy Thursday!  Yesterday, my neighbor and I decided to have some fun and wash my car.  It had been a while and it was really needing a bath.

Here is my neighbor Stefanie, her daughter Allie, Andrew and Carolina giving my car a good scrub!

And after it was all over, what could be more fun than each of the kids having their own private pool.

Here's the layout that these pictures will go in.

I'm a Country Girl ... from another country

Good morning and happy Tuesday.  Years ago, when I was new to the U.S., I was at a cookout and some of the ladies there were saying that they considered themselves "country girls".  I told them that I was a "country girl", too, since I had come from a different country.  We all had a good laugh.

I don't know why, but yesterday I was in a country/cowboy mood.  Maybe it was because my grand-kids are already thinking about Trick-or-Treat costumes and thought that they might want to go as Jessie and Woody from Toy Story.  (Of course last week it was dinosaurs.  Next week it might be robots.)

Here are a couple of layouts that I made while I was in that mood.  So if they go as Woody and Jessie, I'll already have someplace to put their pictures!

Get Well Soon!

Good morning! Hope your week is going great so far. I am off to Alabama today for a 4-day crop with our Hive. Its going to be fun just to relax, play, eat and scrap!

Our son Danny was featured in an awesome video that MLB put together. It's been a little over 3 months since his ordeal (ruptured brain aneurysm). We are sooo thankful to God for sparing his life and for healing him. Here it is: Farquhar's journey to healing

These are two of my latest kits related to "healing". I had sooo much fun making the little nurses, they are so cute!

Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful, fun and blessed day!

School Days

Good morning and happy Tuesday.  Yesterday was Carolina's first day of school.  She was super excited about it.  When we picked her up in the afternoon she said that she was looking forward to going back the next day.  We asked her what she had learned and she said "She's my friend and that girl is my friend and that one over there is my friend, too!"  If making friends is what school is all about, she'll do just fine.

Here are 1st Day photos of  the four of my grandchildren who are in school.

And here are a couple of my newest kits that will be released this week on this blog!

They Love Golf

Good morning and happy Monday!  Well, today is the start of a new chapter for me.  Carolina starts Pre-K today at what her brother call a "real school".  After 6 years I go from being the teacher at "Lita School" to the head of "Lita Aftercare".

When Andrew was at this same school two years ago, he was asked if his younger sister went to school.  He told them that she went to "Lita School".  They asked me about it when we went to pick him up that day because they had never heard of that school.  I told them that I was Lita, then they understood.

My other granddaughter started 2nd grade at her school last Wednesday.  This gives her parents a bit more free time.  They love to golf together.  Danny works out and does his re-hab 4 days a week.  That leaves 3 days for fun things like golf.

Here they are on a recent outing.

Danny has to wear a batting helmet most of the time when he's out doing things.  God forbid if an errant golf ball came his way.

Here's the layout where I'll put these photos!

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  I will have around 30 new kits for sale on this blog later this week.  Stay tuned for details.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Summer 2018 Coming to a Close

Good morning and happy Friday.  My goodness, this week went by fast!  I hope that you have some great plans for the weekend.  I'll be staying in town this weekend.  Since I'll be gone for the next two weekends, this may be the last chance for a good old Summer picnic with my family.

Here are a couple of layout kits of mine for just the occasion!

Thanks again for stopping by.  Have a wonderful and blessed day and a safe and restful weekend.

Busy Bee

Good morning and happy mid week! Hope all is going great with you. I sure have been a busy week lately! I've been designing the new kits for this month, cooking a lot since Andrew eats like an adult now, going to doctor's appointments, and the list goes on. But all is well, praise the Lord.

I love this layout because this is sooo me this week, a very busy Bea!

Carolina misses her brother and asks us several times a day if it is time to go pick him up at school. She baked him a cake and made him a beautiful card with lots of dinosaur stickers and she wrote "I love you Andrew" all by herself. I'll probably do the same for her next Monday when she goes to school for the first time. Oh boy, her mother and I start crying every time we talk about it.

Hug your loved ones, love them no matter what, and treasure every second you get to spend with them. Do not take for granted the blessings of the Lord. Have a fabulous, exciting and blessed day!

First Day of School

Good morning! Hope you had a lovely weekend. We spent ours getting ready for another school year for Andrew and Carolina. Andrew started 1st grade  yesterday and he was soooo excited! He kept telling us that he was going to learn new things everyday!

I will have some new scrapbook kits for school coming out in a week or so.  In the meantime, here are some of my older kits.

Thanks for coming to my blog today.  Have a terrific and blessed day!

Summer Fun

Happy Friday! I can't believe this is the last day of our Summer break. Time went soooo fast! Andrew starts school (First grade) this Monday and Carolina starts preschool the following one. That will be a huge change for me since I have been watching them since they were born! I don't even want to think about it....

I have made a ton of kits for summer this year. I have to admit that I have kept most of the originals and used them for my private albums. We truly have enjoyed this year traveling, going to the pool and beach. I have bought several floats too! I think my favorite ones are the unicorn and the mermaid tail. Here's a picture of me, my niece and two of my grandkids riding it at the pool.

Even though my husband doesn't like the sun, the sand or the water, he still joined in the summer adventures. He was a champ!

Here are a couple of my Summer layout kits.

Thanks for visiting today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Watch me Whip (Watch me Nae Nae)

Happy Thursday! Hope your week is going great so far. My family reminded me that my "birthday week" is almost over and now that I am "60 and a day", I should start behaving better.  We will see...

Here are three layouts perfect for those who love to cook and enjoy having the little ones help out. Andrew and Carolina love to help me in the kitchen, especially if I am baking a cake or chocolate chip cookies. I am teaching them to lick the bowl just like their mama used to do.

Birthday

Happy birthday to me! I turn 60 years old today. Wow.... that's a bunch of years! Back in 1958 TV was black and white, the Hula Hoop was all the rage and Super Glue hit the market.  The cost of an RCA refrigerator was $118, and I was born!

I have always loved birthdays. My parents made sure that we felt super special on our birthdays and always made a big deal about them. Well, I still have that in me, and I'd say even more now that I have grandchildren. I chose unicorns and mermaids for my big 60 birthday week-long celebration. My amazing family took me to a beach resort in Daytona Beach Shores for the weekend and we had a fabulous time! Carolina loved every minute of it. She had the cutest outfits to match her "Lita" (unicorn dresses, jammies and bathing suits!)

I danced like nobody was watching barefooted in the sand twirling with my pink tutu early morning one day.

They surprised me with a fabulous dinner at the Chart House in Daytona. My parents owned a condo right across the street! I have not been there in ages. The restaurant gave me a birthday card and also printed birthday wishes on our menu with my name on it!

They allowed us to bring our own cake which, of course, was a unicorn.

I either wore a birthday crown, a princess birthday headband or my unicorn ears either in the water or all dressed up.

I even had a birthday squad! My shirt read "60 and fabulous". My niece Gaby, my sister Andi, my sister-in-law Laurel and my daughter Valerie  were soooo fun in all my "craziness".

Andrew helped me write the number 60 in the sand.

And here is one of the many layouts I will use to document this amazing birthday!

I can't stop smiling and giving thanks to the Lord for all His goodness in my life. My son Danny is alive! I celebrate life like never before and this is why I live daily, one day at a time, just as He commands us, because tomorrow is not promised. Have a wonderful, fun and blessed day!

Coffee & Friends

Happy Thursday! Hope you are having a great week so far.  One of our favorite places for breakfast in Lafayette is La Madelaine.  They have the best pastries, croissants and omelets ever!  Here I am with Joy, Linda & Peggy.  Can you see how the three of them are not even a little bit concerned that a klutz like me can even be in the same room with this stack of tea pots and cups.  (Here's a little secret ... they're glued together!)

Here's a layout of mine from a couple of months ago celebrating coffee and friends.  What a great combination!

Butterfly

Good morning and Happy New Month!  My birthday is in one week and since it's going to be my 60th, I've decided that just one day or even one week is not enough.  No, sir.  This year I'm taking an entire birthday month!!!

This being August, it means that Summer is winding down.  Most places start school well before Labor Day and Gainesville is no exception.  This Summer our grandkids have been in plenty of structured activities.  Andrew went to three week-long "camps" at the local museum.  The first was about sharks & fish (big takeaway for him is that herring communicate by farting), then he had a week about dinosaurs (his latest passion) and then one week about butterflies.  The butterfly week was great because the museum has a large Butterfly Rainforest  Exhibit.  They hatch the butterflies indoors and then release them into the screened enclosure several times a day.  They have to keep adding butterflies to the exhibit since they only live 2-5 weeks.  It's a beautiful exhibit!

They didn't get any pictures so we're going to have to go back there one of these days and get some.  When we do, I have the perfect layout for them.

Actually, this is one of my layout kits from last month.

Well, thanks for visiting my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day and don't forget my birthday MONTH!
