Baseball Layouts

Good morning and happy Wednesday!  I hope that your week is going well, so far.

With only a month left in the baseball season, I figure that it's about time that I get cracking on some new baseball kits.  Here are three.  In the first one I've put some photos from trips to Tampa to visit our son this summer.  We're going again this weekend to celebrate their two kids' birthdays; Landon 1 and Madison Rose 5.

I'll probably put some photos from this weekend in these two layouts.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

School Layouts

Good morning and happy Tuesday!  I made two "school" kits in this latest batch.

Our 4-year-old grandson has started Pre-K and absolutely loves it.  When I picked him up after school yesterday afternoon, he told me "Today was the eleventh day of school.  Tomorrow is going to be the twelfth."  He tells us that he's going to go to school until he's 28!

Here's Andrew going into his school on the "eleventh" day.  (Today will be the twelfth!)

And today is our oldest grandchild's birthday.  Madison Rose is five today.

Yesterday her mother took her to the pool.  She told her "Mama, this is the best last day of being four.  We went swimming in the rain, saw a rainbow, did 5 cannonballs (strictly prohibited in their community pool, but what the heck, the old fogies had already gone home) and jumped in every puddle on the way home."

These are the simple pleasures of life, are they not?!

Bucket List

Good morning and happy new week!  I hope that you had a safe and restful weekend.  I think that this was the first weekend in several that I actually stayed home.

During my life I have done a number of things that might actually be on other people's "Bucket Lists".  I've ridden the highest cablecar in the world and I have seen the highest waterfall.  These things were done long before I even new what a "bucket list" was.

Now that I do, there are a few things like skydiving or ziplining that I would like to try.  Unfortunately, my medical limitations will probably prohibit me from ever doing them.  Oh, well.  At least I can dream about them.

Here is a layout celebrating the "Bucket List".  It's also one of my latest kits that I have for sale.

You can see this one and others by clicking on the happy scrappy shopper at the top of this page.  Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Hello Sisters!

Happy Friday! Are you ready for the weekend? I sure am! We get to babysit two of our grandchildren both days and we have plans!

Here's a layout I designed recently using the new Crate Paper Collection called "Cute Girl". Its name says it all because it is soooo cute and has adorable embellishments. I used Faith Illustrated papers.

I will be posting all new kits on this blog on Sunday, stay tuned! Have a wonderful and blessed weekend!

Hey Girl

Good morning and happy Wednesday!  Regular followers of this blog will know that I have two lovely granddaughters who are most definitely girly girls.  Madison is soon to be 5 and Carolina is 2½.

I made this layout with them in mind.  The girl is a digital stamp downloaded from Saturated Canary.  I colored her with copic markers

Here are some of the photos that will go on this page.  This is Madison modeling a new dress.

Carolina on her "phone" to my aunt in Venezuela.

Madison on the beach.

Carolina all accessorized and ready to go.

Thanks for stopping by again.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Single Page Layouts

Good morning and happy Tuesday!  You know, although most of my layouts are two-pagers, sometimes I get inspired to make single page layouts.  These may or may not have a theme or title, but they are great for the first page or the last page of an album.  This is especially true when the photograph going on the layout page is a bright photo and there is just one photo or, at most, two..

Here are a couple of examples of single page layouts, both without and with the photo.  You can see how the photograph compliments the layout page and adds color, as well.

Chicken Salad Chick

Good morning and happy Monday!  I spent a marvelous weekend in Alabama with The Hive scrapping our little hearts out.

On Saturday we went for lunch at a new restaurant in Dothan called "Chicken Salad Chick"  You'll never guess what they serve there.  That's right ... chicken salad.  15 different types of chicken salad.  Yummmmmmy!

We fell in love with their logo and menu (not to mention their food.).  So much so that when we finished lunch and went back to scrapping, I made a "Chicken Salad Chick" layout!

It just goes to show you that inspiration can come from anywhere.  And what's even more exciting is that my DH told me that they've just opened a "Chicken Salad Chick" here in Gainesville.  I can hardly wait to take him!

Copic Markers Classes at Whim So Doodle

Good morning and happy end of the week!

As I mentioned yesterday, I spent last weekend at Whim So Doodle in St. Petersburg.  My friend from Alabama, Melanie, and I took copic markers classes from Lynette.  She was wonderful showing us uses of the copic markers that we could not have imagined!

Here we are showing off our works in progress on dolls from Saturated Canary.

Here is my finished product with shading, one of the techniques that Lynnette showed us.

And, of course, while there I was able to get some scrapping in.  Here's a layout that I made.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  I hope that you have a great weekend and that your plans include some crafty activities.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

My Talented DIL

Good morning! Hope you are having a fabulous week so far.

I had the chance to spend last weekend with my son, daughter-in-law and their babies in St. Petersburg,  I also took some classes at Whim So Doodle which is just 5 miles from their home.  Lexie stopped by with the kids to say "Hi" and before I knew it she was lost in the store.

I was very excited thinking she wanted to scrapbook like me!  Well, I was wrong.  She picked up some goodies because she is fascinated with the new lettering/calligraphy style.

And the next morning her notebook was filled with things like this!  She is very talented and she also told me that doing this relaxes her very much.  This made me think of how many talents we are filled with by our Creator but we don't even know it!  Even though we might have an interest in them we make excuses such as " I do not have the time", "I do not even know how to start" and so on.  I want to encourage you today to try something new!  You never ever know where it will take you.

I hope that I have inspired you today. Have a wonderful and blessed day!

First Day of School

Good morning and happy Tuesday!  Yesterday was a bittersweet day for me.  It was Andrew's first day of school.  I have been his daycare provider for four and a half years.

He could not have been more excited what with his new haircut, new backpack and new lunch box.  Here he is leaving his house.

And here he is saying good-bye to his sister.  They've not been apart from each other since Andrew was 2.

And here we are on the steps of the school, looking awful sad.  When we started tearing up while leaving the school yard, the Directress told us to hurry so that Andrew wouldn't see us crying.

And now I'm alone with Carolina for the next couple of years until she starts school.  One last peek to make sure that he's OK.

Oh, boy.  That was a tough one!  Here are three older "first day" layouts of mine.  Can't figure out which of the 2684 pictures we took yesterday that will go on them!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

"Sweet" with Graphic 45 Papers

Good morning and happy Monday!  It's good to be back.  I've been so busy with out-of-town guests and traveling that I haven't been able to post to this blog for several days.  So sorry.

Here's a recent layout that I made with Graphic 45 papers.  This will be great for all of your baby photos.

Another Birthday!

Happy Monday! Hope you had a lovely weekend. Mine was amazing! I turned 58 years old yesterday and not only the Lord blessed me with it but with the opportunity to be with all my children and grandchildren!
On Saturday I went to the Rays game in Tampa and started the weekend-long birthday celebration with our son Danny, our DIL Lexie and grandchildren Madison Rose and Landon.

Then today on the way home from Tampa, I met my husband, our daughter Valerie and grandchildren Andrew and Carolina in Ocala to see the Gala of Royal Horses.  I love to watch horses so this was a dream come true.

Then we went to dinner and afterwards went to Valerie's house to eat a homemade delicious New York cheesecake! Yes, to die for and zero calories of course, since its my birthday!

Heres a layout I made for some of my pictures we took today.

Thank you for all the love and kind words many of you posted on my FB page. Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Forever Friends

Good morning and happy Thursday.  Hope your week is winding down well. This is a layout I designed recently using the ladies from Art Impressions.

I was just thinking.  While I've been using the Art Impression ladies a lot recently, Janet uses the tall and slender Julie Nutting dolls in her layouts.  I cannot for the life of me figure out why.

Thanks for visiting today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day and I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.
