Travel Can Be Fun & Restful

Good morning and happy Friday!  They say that getting to your destination is half of the fun.  That may be true for some!  Here's Valerie on our trip to California sitting it the cockpit of the plane before take-off.

And here she is having a nice nap while I do double-duty in the next seat.

Here's a layout that I designed for Treasured Memories about travel the last time I was there.  Good place for these photos and the others that we took on the way to California.

Thanks for visiting me blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day and a safe and restful weekend!

I Love My Grandkids and They Love Me!

Good morning and happy Thursday.  I am absolutely enjoying my four grandchildren all at the same time for the first time.  You could say that I'm in "Grandma Heaven".  Lookie here, I've even put down my phone for a minute!!!  (Haven't turned it off, though.)

From the top here are Carolina & Andrew (my daughter's two) and Landon & Madison (my son's two) at my son & daughter-in-law's home in California.

And here are a couple of older layouts that I'm going to have to resurrect once I get home.  They are "I Love My Grandkids" ...

... and "I Love Grandma".

Weekend Crop in Dothan

Good morning and happy Friday!  I was able to get away early yesterday for the Birds, Bees & Butterflies crop in Dothan this weekend.  Here I am with several of the early arrivals; fellow Bee Peggy and Birds Lark, Raven and Robin.  We just can't wait for the cropping to begin!

Dothan is known as the peanut capital of the world.  Businesses all over town have decorated peanuts out front.  Here we are with the one outside of the Texas Roadhouse.

Here is a fall layout that I made for you to enjoy!

The Hive

Good morning!  Guess what am I doing this weekend?  Yes, you got it right.... scrapping!  The best part is that it will be with my dear Hive, along with the Birds and the Butterflies.  Yes, all of those "creatures" in a hotel conference room scrapping for three days and nights together!  Okay, let me 'splain.... Back in 2009 when our original group of friends got together, someone thought that we should have a name.  We settled on Bea's Hive (my name is Beatriz=Bea) and we are all Bees.  Later on, other friends would scrap with us and ask for "membership", but the Hive is "closed".  Eventually, we decided to let them form their own groups! The Birds got their name because the members are Raven, Robin, Lark (actual first names), Parrott (real last name) and T-Bird!  The Butterflies got their name beause they are always "flying" to where they smell scrapbooking!  We have another group of friends in Baltimore which chose their name to be "Bea's Bay Babes".  I wonder if we will ever get the "Ladybugs" or the "Black Widows". Here's a layout dedicated to the bees.

If your group has a name, let me know about it. Mail me a picture of your group and I will post ot here and on my Facebook page. Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Good morning! Hope you are having a great week so far. A customer of mine asked to  make her four layouts related to Breast Cancer. She participated in a race for the cure last weekend. As I was making them I thought of this horrific disease and how many lives it has taken. I have lost both parents, grandparents and a few uncles and aunts to it. It is our faith and the loved of our family and friends that help us to go though something like this.

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

"Scrapbook Layouts" on Facebook

Good morning and happy Tuesday!  I want to tell you about a Facebook group that I've recently joined.  It's called Scrapbook Layouts and it has nearly 12,000 members!  It's a forum where fellow scrappers can share their work and encourage each other

Last week we had a random giveaway of a layout which Sherry Buller of Spiro, Oklahoma was chosen.  She got to choose the title, the theme and the colors and I made the layout.  She chose "Blessed 2015" for the title, angels for the theme and purple and aqua for the colors and this is what she got.

I really ejoyed working with these colors and also the textures which can be seen on the two close-ups.

I love this cute little angel! I think he is playing peek-a-boo!

Thanks once again for visiting my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

StampinUp Class

Good morning and happy Monday!  I hope that everyone had a safe and restful weekend.

I'm so excited because yesterday I went with my friend Alexandra to a StampinUp class.  We met some new fellow crafters and had a wonderful time.

Here is the group!

And here is a box I made from scratch!

Here I am with a couple of cards that I made.

And here is Alexandra with one of her cards.

What a great thing it is to share time with fellow crafters doing what we all love to do best and learning new things and making new friends while doing it!  I can't wait until next time.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Precious....

Good morning!  I hope you are having a great week so far.  Here's a layout I made recently using colors that I get the most comments on, black and yellow.  I used papers from Authentique.  I love, love, love the thickness of their paper. The two small frames on the left are made out of resin.  I inked them lightly with black ink.

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Day Trip to the Beach

Good morning and happy Tuesday!

Yesterday we drove to the beach to meet Steve's sister and brother-in-law who are vacationing there this week.  Our grandchildren were not so interested in changing out of their pajamas before we left home so we figured we'd dress them once we got there.  So much for that plan!

Our first stop was Ft. Matanzas, a restored Spanish fort on an island in the Matanzas River.

The Park Ranger guide said that people often ask if the fort is haunted.  He said that he's never heard of any ghosts, but he's seeing two skeletons for the first time and he hasn't even had a drink yet!  Here are those two skeletons.

Well, here is one more fall layout kit that I designed.  I call it Enchanted.

Thanks for your visit to my blog today!  Have a wonderful and blessed day,

Treasured Memories Crop

Good morning and welcome to another week.  I just got back last night from a two day crop at Treasured Memories in Lafayette, Louisiana.  What a wonderful time we had!

Here's Janet and me on Saturday making layouts of our favorinte college football teams.  They'll play against each other this coming Saturday.  We're both hoping that our team comes away victorious.

And here we are at 1:00 am on Sunday morning, still able to manage smiles after all of those hours of cropping!

Here is a kit that I designed using some gorgeous new papers designed especially for Treasured Memories.  This particular paper is for Cozumel, Mexico.

Now if you buy one of these kits from Treasured Memories, you will be able to by more of these individual papers.  They are beautiful!

Ancestry

Good morning! Hope you are having a great week so far. I am very excited to leave tomorrow for Lafayette, Lousiana. I'll be at Treasured Memories this weekend designing  over 20 new kits. My friend Linda is driving with me and I am excited to spend time with her as well as seeing all my Cajun friends again. Talk about being in a "happy place"... I have to say that store is my "VERY" happy place.
This is one of my latest kits. I used papers from Lemoncraft again and also chipboard (the flourish) from Creative Embellishments. They have the coolest pieces around.
Have a fabulous and blessed day!

Happy Day!

Good morning! Seasons come and seasons go... On Sunday our son Danny  finished another baseball season with a new addition to his family! Since it was the last day they took him to the game and then to the locker room to introduce him around. He will love this picture 10 years from now, especially being held by his daddy and his big sister looking on lovingly.

These beautiful papers are from a scrapbooking company in  Poland called Lemoncraft. Don't you love the roses and the colors?

Have a beautiful, happy and blessed day!

Happy Monday!

Good morning! Hope you had a lovely weekend. We finally had some cool weather since Saturday and it feels soooo good! Well, another good thing that happened around here is that the Florida Gators won again! Oh my, this town was on fire! Its so fun to drive around and see all the flags up and the people wearing orange and blue eerywhere.
This is one of my latest kits called Enjoy the Journey. I love this color palette, such soft and happy colors.
Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Under Construction

Good morning and happy end-of-the-week!

Here is a layout and kit that I am offering this month.  It's a very boyish layout with the truck and all of the gears.  I did this one when Andrew showed me a program that they have at the library on the children's computers.  It's one where they can create "materpieces" on the screen by choosing colors and then tracing on the screen with their finger.  There's also a "stamp" part where they can add shapes and pictures to their drawing.  He like to add musical instruments, animals and cars and trucks to his works of art.  He can sit there for hours "painting" with his fingers.

Seafood

Good morning and happy October! I hope that our weather pays attention to the new month and start cooling off a little!!!!!!!.
Last time we visited our son in Seattle we had the chance to eat at an amazing restaurant called The Crab Pot. It was the best Seafood I've ever had! of course I had to make a layout to preserve those memories. I used  papers from Kaisercraft.

Here we are anxiously waiting for our food  to use our hammers!

We walked thru Pike Place and had the chance to see them throw the fish all over the place! It was soooo much fun! Madison loved it.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful and blessed day!
