Play Ball

Good morning! Are you a baseball fan? Have you been watching the World Series this year between the Astros and the Dodgers? We are baseball fans since I can remember. Baseball is the number #1 sport in my country, so I had no choice but to watch it with my parents as we had but one TV.
.
Little did I know that one day our own son would be a professional baseball player! This is why every baseball layout that I make is very meaningful to me. This is one of my latest kits, Play Ball.

Do you see these awesome pictures?  On the left is our son when he was about 6 years old with his favorite ballplayer; Rick Renteria of the Florida Marlins.  And here they are this past summer.  Rick is now the Manager of the Chicago White Sox and Danny plays for him.  Rick thought that Danny was kidding him when he told him that he had been his favorite player.  We dug through my old scrapbooks (nice scrapping technique, huh?), found this photo and sent it to him.  They both had a good laugh.

Their wives wanted them to recreate the original pose but both men said, "No way!  This is good enough.  Hurry up and take the picture"

It's fun to scrapbook, but it's even more fun to find an old memory like we did here and in the process make a new one!

Have a blessed day!

Scrapper's RX

Good morning and happy Monday!  I hope that you had a great weekend!  I spent mine at a 3-day crop in Cocoa, Florida called Scrapper's Rx.  Their theory is that  a crop is cheaper than therapy (or at least it should be!)

Look at some of the cute signs they had!

Stacy and Tammy are the hostesses of this 4-day crop which takes place in Cocoa, Florida, a few times a year.

Isn't this layout perfect for the crop????

Don't forget to check out my kits. Click on the girl with a shopping cart in the upper left and she will take you to the KITS page. Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful and blessed day!

So Blessed

Happy Thursday! Fall is my favorite season of the year. I specially love the change of weather as well as the change of colors all around us. Our daughter Valerie always does a photo shoot of Andrew and Carolina at one of the local Pumpkin Patches. I can't believe how big they are getting! Andrew is 5 and Carolina is 3 (going on 13!!!). The are sooo much fun, well behaved and funny.

Of course I have the perfect layout for these pictures! And the title is just perfect because these chilcren are nothing for a blessing to our family.

I am off to Cocoa Beach for a 3-day crop sponsored by Scrappert's Rx (Love their name!). I will be posting the layouts I design on my Facebook page. Stay tuned!

Have a wonderful and blessed day and remember to take a ton of pictures this fabulous weekend!

The Fair

Good morning and happy Wednesday!  I hope that your week is going well so far.

Her is a recent kit titled "The Fair".  I made this one because this is the time of the year for school fairs and fall festivals.  Just last week we went to the fair at our grandson's elementary school.  What a blast he and his sister had on the bounce houses and trying to dunk the teachers in the dunk tank.  They also enjoyed the kettle corn and the snow cones.  We had memories of going to these sort of events with our own kids year ago.

Thanks for stopping by today at my blog.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Give Thanks

Good morning and happy Tuesday!  This year has been an up and down year for me, but through it all, I consider myself to be blessed beyond words.  Everyday I give thanks to God for everything that I have and try to bless others to the best of my ability.

Here is one of the Fall layouts that sums it all up for me.  There must be others that feel the same way as this particular layout sold out quickly.  Fortunately, there are several other Fall layouts still available on this blog.  Click on the Happy Shopper to the left to see them.

Thanks once again for all of the prayers that were made for my recuperation from back surgery.  It's a slow road, but with God's strength I am going to make a FULL recovery,  Thanks for visiting today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Cherish Memories

Good morning and happy Friday!  I hope that you've had a great week and are looking forward to your weekend.

Here is a new layout of mine titled "Cherish Memories".  With four (nearly five) grandchildren who seem to grow and change by the minute.  I'm constantly taking pictures so that I can cherish the memories, even if they're taken a simple events like these.

Here is lunchtime with Andrew and Carolina at Andrew's new elementary school.  Just a few months ago he was in pre-school!

And here is another common occurrence; lunch at some restaurant with Madison & Landon.  The location is unimportant.  This is just a snapshot in time with these two precious children.

Thanks for coming around today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day and a safe and restful weekend.

Fall is Falling

Good morning and happy Thursday.  Well, it looks like I'm staying home today.  In order for me to get to any of my favorite crafting stores, I have to drive by the University of Florida.  Unfortunately, there is a very hateful man who will be speaking there today and he seems to bring out the worst in a lot of people.  We're just praying that everyone ignores him and that he just goes away!

Here is another Fall layout that I made yesterday.  Even though we don't really have Fall here, I totally enjoy the wonderful Fall colors.

Thanks for your visit today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Fall Layout

Good morning and happy Tuesday.  Over the weekend I received some packages of Fall papers, flowers and embellishments and I am having a great time.

Here is a new layout that I made yesterday using my new goodies.  I'm also putting to good use some new templates that I got for cutting fancy curves.  You can see the results at the right side and at the lower left.

Crop Around the Clock

Good morning and happy Monday!  I just got back last night from a four-day crop in Deerfield Beach, Florida sponsored by Rachel Sherman and Crop Around the Clock.  What a wonderful time we had!

Here I am with some of the participants, goofing around with props.

One of the highlights this weekend was learning how to make ironing board quesadilla

Yum yum!  And you don't even have to leave the crop!

We even found time to do a little scrapbooking.  Here are a couple of layouts that I made between activities.

But, as always, it's good to be home.  I didn't even go into the kitchen or my studio.  I let me DH "download" the car and was fast asleep by the time he finished,  Wink, wink.

Thanks for visiting my blog.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

I am donating 20 two-page layout kits for the cause.  The title of the layout is Pink Queen.

Splash

Good morning and happy Tuesday!  I hope you are having a great week.

Ever since I was a little girl, I've been fascinated by lighthouses.  In the town that I grew up in, there is a lighthouse at the entrance of the harbor.  It has been maintained magnificently over the years

The ones that I really like, however, are the round ones like you see all along the coasts here in the U.S. and I enjoy scrapping with them every chance I get.  Here's one of my latest layouts with a lighthouse.  It's titled Splash.

One of the benefits of living in central Florida is that we're only about one hour from the beach in either direction, the Gulf to the west and the Atlantic to the east.  Here's a recent photo of my grandchildren at the Gulf.

Thanks for coming to my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

World's Greatest Dads

Good morning and happy Monday!  I hope that you had a lovely weekend and are rested up for this new week.

Here is a recent layout kit of mine extolling the virtues of the World's Greatest Dad.  We need to remember them all year, not just on one Sunday in June.

And here are several of those great Dad's in my life.  Here's our son Danny with his two.

And here's my DH with our two.

And finally a WGD double shot with our son-in-law George and his dad Tofi with our grandson Andrew.

Everyone in these photos agree that these are some very special Dads!

Honey Bunch

Happy Thursday, dear friends!  I love titles like this one because I have a big bunch of honeys in my family. It starts with my sweet hubby all the way to my 5th unborn grandbaby.  So what I am saying is that this layout will work with almost any picture, right?

Hope you give big hugs and kisses to all your honey bunch. Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Summer Layouts

Good morning and happy Wednesday!  I hope that your week is going well, so far.  Here are a couple more Summer layouts that I'm sneaking in under the wire before the weather changes.  These, too, are made using the fabulous embellishments from 49th and Market.

More 49th & Market Embellishments

Good morning and happy Tuesday.  I am so saddened by Sunday's events in Las Vegas that I don't even know where to begin.  To think that there more than 50 families grieving for their lost ones who did nothing more than go to a concert.  The word "senseless" is not nearly enough to describe it.

Here are three more layouts that I made using the magnificent embellishments from 49th & Market.  I just can't get enough of them!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.  Please pray for the victims and their families touched by this horrible event.

49th and Market Embellishments

Good morning and happy Monday!  I hope that all of you had a wonderful weekend.  I spent mine scrapping, trying out a new line of embellishments from 49th and Market.  These embellishments are very detailed and absolutely beautiful!  The colors are vibrant and mixing and matching them is a breeze.

Here are a couple of layouts that I made as well as a couple of close-ups of these embellishments.  If you haven't already, you should try these soon!

Thanks for visiting my blog today!  Have a wonderful and blessed day.
