Time Spent at the Pool

Good morning and happy Friday!  Just so that you don't think that we spend all of our time at the crop all crowded into a big room, this is to show you that we take time to relax by the pool.

Here are five bathing beauties, enjoying a sunny day.

And here are three recent kits to put this type of photos in.  The first is titled The Pool.

And here we have Summer Vibes.

And this one is called Summer Escape.

These three are from my June kits.  I will have more summer kits coming out in July.  Stay tuned!

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day and a safe and restful weekend.

Wings on Meds

Good morning and happy Thursday.  There is a group of five of us who crop together at the events in Vero Beach.  A while back we discovered that we each had a favorite thing we liked to collect.  The interesting thing is that all of them had wings!  Cassia collects lady bugs, Rubby collects owls, Suzanne collects butterflies, Karen collects fairies and I, of course collect bees.  On top of that we all have medical conditions that require us to take different types of medications.  Because of that we gave our little group a name - Wings on Meds.

Here we are together at this week's crop.

And here we are taking our "meds".  We earn our wings every day.

And finally, our wings in all of their splendor.

We've all decided that life is much more fun on meds!  And here is the layout that we came up with to post these photos.  See how we're all represented on the title page?

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Bamboozled by Love

Good morning and happy, happy Tuesday.  I'm having a great time in Vero Beach, scrapping with friends.  There are some ladies here who I haven't seen in years!  We're doing a lot of catching up!

One of our granddaughter's favorite animals is the Panda.  I think she has about a dozen stuffed pandas,  When they moved into their new house last year, she was so excited that they had a stand of bamboo in one part of their yard.  She said that since they had the bamboo, she could have a panda as a pet and actually spent a lot of time on the screened in deck just waiting for one to come along!

Well, that hasn't happened yet so she'll just have to make do with the stuffed ones.  Here is a layout that I made for her and the photos of her with her animals and also their trip to the San Diego Zoo last year where she got to see some real ones!

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Riding My Bike

Good morning and happy Monday.  I hope that everyone had a great weekend.  I spent mine visiting my sister and niece in Ft. Lauderdale and today I'm starting a week long crop in Vero Beach.  What fun we will have.

I've known for a while that I needed to get more exercise.  Going from the bedroom to my studio to the kitchen and then back to my studio just wasn't enough.  I thought about a bike so that I could take my grandkids to the pool, but with the balance problems I have, my DH suggested a trike instead.  I was unsure, so we went to the store and I tried one out.  I liked it, but they only had it in gray so we ordered one in Mint Green.

Here's my DH putting it together.  "Let's see ... insert Tab A into Slot B ..."

He got it together in no time, but before he could even put the fenders on, I was off to the pool with Andrew and Carolina.  He can put the fenders on while I'm gone this week.

It's just a short ride to the pool and back, but my legs were so sore.  I know that I'll build up strength in them over time.

What a surprise it was to get a photo from Danny in California later that day.  Here he is at the store trying out a new bike.  What else should he be doing at 10:38 pm?

So here's the layout that these pictures are going in.  It's one of my new kits for June, and by how fast it's selling, there must be a lot of new bikes out there!

So thanks for stopping by my blog today.  In case you were wondering, I took my car to Cocoa Beach.  The basket on my new bike just wasn't big enough to hold all of my scrapbook stuff!  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Family Reunion

Good morning and happy Thursday!  I hope the your week is going well and that you're looking forward to the weekend.  I know that I am!

Here is this month's kit in the monthly Family Series.  Family is oh so very important.  You can chose your friends, but you're stuck with your family.  That's why you need to treat them the best.  My DH has a family reunion coming up in July, but, unfortunately, we'll not be able to make it.  Since we were able to spend time with his closest brother and sister during our time in Chicago, we're not too sad about missing it and there's always next year

What was the saying from The Godfather movie?  "Keep your friends close and keep your family even closer."  Something like that.

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Twinkle toes

Good morning! I hope you never get tired of my stories about the precious grandchildren in my life. I just love their little stories and this blog as become my journal as well.

Carolina (4) started ballet classes last night. My daughter and I were so excited, (almost as much as she was) that we bought every tutu available on Amazon for her classes. She practiced her "ballet" moves (based on what she has learned from the movie Leap) all day long. She put my perfume on, lipstick, blush, etc, etc, etc. When she got to the class all the little girls were dressed in black leotards! They were all in awe of Carolina's tutu and they all wanted one, too! The mothers asked my daughter where she got it from. I am sure Amazon will be sold out of tutus by next class!!!  Valerie told me that Carolina did pirouettes  the entire class, regardless of the basic moves the teacher was trying to teach her.

And if you ask me to describe Carolina, well, there are no words. Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words!!!!! (I got this picture from the web).

And of course, I have the perfect layout for this awesome adventure, it's called "Twinkle Toes". (It's one of my new kits as well).

Thank you for stopping by! Have a fabulous, fun , safe and blessed day!

World's Best Dad

Good morning and happy Monday!  Yesterday was Father's Day.  I hope you all had a great one.  In addition to my DH being here with me, our daughter & her family got home from vacation and were able to have dinner with us.  Our son got home to California where our daughter-in-law got to spend the day with her father.  Blessings all around.

Here is a new kit just in time for those Father's Day photos.  It will be available later today along with a good size batch of new kits for the month of June.

Thanks for visiting my blog this morning.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Friends are the Spice of Life

God morning and happy Friday!  Another week has come and gone.  I hope that you have plans for the weekend that involve scrapping!

Yesterday I was playing around in my studio yesterday and came up with this layout.  After posting it on Facebook, the response was overwhelming.  Although I had no plans of making this into a kit, I was able to come up with enough items to make about half a dozen.

Here is that version of the kit.  Similar, but different.

Thanks for all of your support.  Have a wonderful and blessed day and a safe and restful weekend.

Coffee and Fiends

Happy Thursday! Hope your week is going amazing so far. Did I tell you I LOVE coffee? I drink about two cups every morning. My sweet hubby makes it and brings it to my bed rain or shine. This is something I miss terribly when I am on the road. Not only the coffee but HIM!!!! I truly enjoy making coffee layouts because they remind me of this little action of love, even after 40 years of marriage he still does this for me. (Yes, I think I'll keep him!)

Have a fabulous and blessed day and remember to appreciate the little things in life. They are the true treasures for our hearts.

Superhero Mom!

Good morning and happy Wednesday!  Everybody knows (or may even be) a Superhero Mom.  Let me tell you about one; my daughter Valerie.  While on vacation, she and her family took a hike which included climbing up some rocks.  The kids are 6 and 4.  While they let Andrew hoof it by himself, Carolina made the ascent in a child carrier backpack!!!

Here they are, part way up, stopping for a family photo.  Carolina is hard to see because Valerie has her backed up to the rock face while she and her husband keep Andrew steady on the narrow (too narrow for this grandmother) platform.

But here she is as they make the turn and keep climbing upward.  I don't have to tell you that I almost had a heart attach when I saw these pictures yesterday.  I was tempted to put in a call to Child Protective Services!

And here she is later in the day standing on a rock near the shore.  How did she get up there without getting her feet wet???  My guess is that she flew there!

So here is the layout that I'm going to put these pictures in.  She definitely has earned the title of Superhero Mom!

Thanks for stopping by today.  It will be a while before I get my heart out of my throat.  In the meantime, have a wonderful, safe and blessed day!

June Showers

OK.  If April showers bring May flowers (and the Mayflower brought the Pilgrims), what do June showers bring?  In actual fact, April is one of the driest months of the year for this area and June is the wettest, followed by July and August.

Well, it's certainly been wet around here this month.  Here are some pictures of our granddaughter last week here and her parents in Chicago the week before.

And here's the layout that I'm going to put those pictures in, even though it really wasn't April rain!

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Grandchildren on Vacation

Happy Monday! Hope you had a lovely weekend and are all rested up to start a brand new week.

Our daughter and her family are on vacation in New England for a week.  While I was talking with her on the phone yesterday, I told her that she hadn't been sending enough pictures.  (Gone are the days when you had to wait until you got home from vacation and take your film to the pharmacy for processing.  And do you remember when 24 hour photo processing was a big deal?)

Anyhow, she tells me "No problem", turns around in her seat and snaps a photo of our grand-kids engaged in some type of sibling altercation!  I'm not certain what was going on, but I'm pretty sure that it wasn't "Are we there yet?  Are we there yet?  Are we there yet? ..."

This is one big crazy group!

And here's the perfect layout for all of those goofy photos like this one that may not be suitable for admission into a regular album.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful, blessed and peaceful day!

We Love Unicorns

Happy Wednesday!  Did I tell you that both of my granddaughters and I love unicorns?  My 6 year old grandson keeps telling me that they do not exist.  He has NO imagination!  We girls think that they are real in our fantasy world and are the cutest things ever!

I have so many pictures of Carolina with unicorns or in unicorn outfits that I decide to make layouts inspired by her. Here's one I made recently.

Her brother bought Carolina this adorable unicorn for Christmas.

Carolina loves the horn of the unicorn and she pretends to have one!

Her dress has a unicorn and she is one today!

This is a dress I ordered for her for a photo shoot we are planning this summer at a local farm which has "real white pony unicorns" for little girls.  I can't wait to see her face!

I love being a grandma and having these precious things around me every day. If you have some of your own, love them spoil them rotten and take lots of pictures because they sure grow pretty fast.
Have a fabulous, safe, fun and blessed day!

Snoopy is Happiness

Good morning! Friday was the last day of school, so yesterday wa the first day of "Lita's Summer Bible Camp" with two of my grandchildren (Andrew 6 and Carolina 4). The morning started out great! We had piano lessons, Bible study and Bible journaling, Bible story/video, we colored on a  gigantic world map that we started last Summer and then went to the pool. I told them it would be for 2 hours. Well, somehow I got distracted playing with them and 4 hours later, thank God, an afternoon shower storm came in and chased us home! It's only the first day of summer vacation and I am already sunburned. I think it is 4th degree burn!!! Oh well, tomorrow is another day.... I pray for wisdom and strength to tell them NO!!!!!! (hahahaha).

This is one of my latest kits and my friends are loving it.

Have a wonderful, blessed, fun and happy day!

First Pitch

Greetings, friends.  For those of you who follow this blog and my Facebook friends as well, you know the story of our son Danny and his miraculous recovery from a ruptured brain aneurysm six weeks ago.  On Friday, he was able to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at a home White Sox game.  Up to that point he had not yet thrown a ball.  He had made the throwing motion with his arm, but was not sure if his brain would let his hand know when to release the ball.  For those who have not seen the inspirational video, it was a strike!

Here is Danny with his family walking out to the mound, where his teammates and his medical group (including the Godly woman who cleaned his room) waited.

It was a strike!  I can't tell who is happier, Danny or his surgeon (the man on the left with the purple shirt).

Well, that inspired me to make another baseball layout for photos from this event.  What a glorious day it was!

Thanks of visiting today and thanks of all of your support and prayer.  He has come a long way in such a short time and he has so much further to go to get back to his dream of playing baseball.  God bless.

Purple layouts

Good morning and happy June! Today is Andrew's last day of school and he is so sad to leave his kindergarten teacher. She wrote him a note telling him that she will miss him very much next year, it was soooo sweet! Carolina (4) will start pre-school in August and Andrew first grade. What will I do  every day until until 2 pm?  I've been taking care of them for over six years!!!

So to help me get out of my purple funk, I decided to make some purple layouts!  I was inspired by these colors and these beautiful papers from Prima.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful, blessed and safe weekend!
