Family Night

Good morning and happy Friday.  Another week has come and gone.  Who would believe it?

Here is a recent layout and kit that I made titled "Family Night".  If you celebrate this tradition, this would be a great way to scrap those photos.

And here are the "Bees" on the way to Rayne, Louisisana stocking up on popcorn in Covington, Louisisana home of Popcorn Bistro.  If you can imagine a flavor, they have it.  This includes "Boiled Crawfish" and "Dill Pickle"!  Yum yum!

Thanks for visiting the blog this week.  Have a wonderful and blessed day and a safe and restful weekend.  Look forward to seeing you again on Monday!

Chocolate!

Good morning!  Do you like chocolate?  I don't ... I LOVE chocolate!!!  So do my kids.  Their favorite dessert growing up was a frozen chocolate pie made with Cool Whip over a graham cracker crust.  Their name for it to this day is postre, which simply means "dessert" in Spanish.

This layout is dedicated to all of the chocolate lovers out there ... and you know who you are!

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Don't forget to grab some milk and cookies on the way out.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Photo Fun

Good morning and happy Tuesday! I am all rested up and ready to spend the day with Andrew and Carolina visiting the museum and if doesn't rain, going to the pool.

This is one of the layouts I designed for Treasured Memories last weekend. This layout would be so much fun for either selfies or the photos you take at a photo booth.

Have a wondeerful and blessed day!

Home at Last

Good morning and happy Monday!  I am home after an amazing two weekend crop in Rayne, Louisiana put on by Treasured Memories of Lafayette, Louisiana.  Janet and her staff did an amazing job on everything from the decorations to the fun events throughout the crop.

Everyone got into the pirate theme with costumes and decorating their workspaces.  Here is Janet getting into the spirit of the event by dressing up as a pirate.

And here are some examples of the wonderful workspace decorations that the croppers came up with.

And here is fellow Bee, Vicky, dressed up as a pirate with a bee on her shoulder in place of a parrot.

Rayne is known as the Frog Capital of the World.  All throughout town there are murals and statues attesting to this, like this one Raven and I are posing with in front of a Sonic restaurant where the event was held. This one is all puckered up waiting to be kissed.

Here I am with the group photograph from the event scrapped already.  I can't wait to put it in my scrapbook.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.  I will be posting more layouts from the event later this week.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

This is My Story

Good morning and happy Wednesday!  I'm taking advantage of the downtime between cropping events here in Louisiana to ... what else, crop?

Here is a layout that I made yesterday.  I imagine this to be a layout where you can scrap photos from childhood through adulthood.  I hope that you like it.

Happy, Happy, Happy

They have a tradition at crops in Louisiana where someone drops off a little present or favor when they stop by your table.  It's usually something small like a sheet of stickers, a border, a chipboard figure or any other little embellishment.  They call it a "happy".

Here is a layout that I made yesterday completely out of "happies", many of them given to me by Mary Dunn.

Treasured Memories always has the latest products.  One of them that I found there is Rusting Powder.

The power is sprinkled onto a sticky surface.  When dry, the power is sprayed with white vinegar to activate the rusting process.  Here are some flowers that I used the rusting powder on.

And here is the finished layout!  I hope that you like it.

Treasured Memories Treasure Island Crop

Good morning and happy Monday.

Well, I survived the first weekend of Treasured Memories' big crop in Rayne, Louisiana.  What a blast we had.  Here's the hive upon arrival to the event.

And here we are on the pirate ship "The Tadpole"

Here I am with Janet, Queen of the Pirates and the sponsor of the event.  Janet, once again you have outdone yourself.

I plan on spending the next day or so resting up for "The Sequel" starting on Friday.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Happy Monday!

Good morning!  Hope you had a fabulous and restful weekend.

I can't believe it is time for another Treasured Memories event already! This year they are running the event over two weekends because there was no way to accommodate everyone who wanted to participate on just one weekend.  And guess what?  I will be designing for them on both weekends, yay! This year's theme is AHOY TREASURE ISLAND (Pirates). How fun is that!
We will be staying at an amazing place, home of Create 365 Studio.  Her house is amazing!!!!! Soooo cozy and perfect to hosts our group (ten of us!). Here's a video of this house when they hosted artist Suzy West recently: CREATE 365
I've been busy making new kits before I go on this 2-week venture. They are all posted under the tag KITS. Check them out.
I made this layout  inspired by my precious granddaughter Madison who is taking dance lessons. She loves every move!
Have a wonderful and blessed Monday!

More Soccer Layouts

Good morning and happy Friday!  I see that you've made it through another week and I think that that's great!

The U.S. Women's Soccer Team competing and now winning the World Cup has created a lot of interest for soccer layouts.  About a month ago I showcase two.  Here are two more!  I hope that you like them.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day and a safe and restful weekend.  I look forward to seeing you again on Monday!

Now You're Cookin'!

Good morning and happy Wednesday!  I hope that your week is going well.

Here are a couple of recent cooking layouts.  This first one is titled "Backyard BBQ".  Here's one thing that I've always wondered.  Why is it, when you take a man who cannot even boil water without burning it  and put him in front of some burning charcoal, he becomes a Master Chef?  I could never figure that one out.

This next layout is titled "Chef".  This a great layout for any cooking photos that you might have.

Thanks for coming to my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.  I look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Beach Time

Good morning and happy Tuesday.

Here is a layout that I made last month titled "Beach Time".  I hope that you like it.

It's the perfect layout for a picture like this one of my "bathing beauty" grand-daughter Carolina.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I look forward to seeing you tomorrow.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Celebrating Independence Day

Good morning and welcome to another great week.  I hope that you had a great time celebrating our independence.

Here are a couple of patriotic layouts and kits that I made recently.  I titled the first one "Celebrate July 4th"

This next one is titled "God Bless America"

And this wouldn't be my blog without pictures of my grandchildren.  This first one is of patriotic Andrew and Carolina celebrating the 4th at their grandfather's beach house.

And here's my precious Madison Rose celebrating the 4th in Seattle.

Thanks for the visit today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.  See you again tomorrow!

The Greatest Generation

Good morning and happy Thurdday!  As we celebrate Independence Day this weekend, let's remember that it's not just about the picnics or the fireworks.  Take some time to remember those who have fought to defend our great nation.

Here is a new layout which I titled "My Dad My Hero".  It's for those very special people who went off to fight in World War II which ended 70 years ago.  One of those very special people is my father-in-law.  He was in the Navy during the war.  After the war, he got busy working hard and raising a family (which includes my DH)  His pictures will go in my copy of this layout.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day!
