Artists at Work

Good morning and goodbye January!  Hope you are having a great week so far. Our trip to California was amazing. We are back home safe and sound and with our hearts filled with memories, of course.

We have amazing little artists in our family. Carolina loves to "scrapbook" in my studio. It's part of our morning ritual.

Madison and Carolina love to eat at restaurants that provide crayons and coloring pages. They get into it to the point of forgetting to eat!

And these little hands love nail polish as well. Since my nails were not available they asked Abui for his. He could not refuse the offer sooooooo here is the proof!

And of course, here is the perfect layout for these and many more pictures of our little artists at work.

Thank you for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful and blessed day!

Officially retired

Good morning! This is another layout I made for those who are enjoying freedom from 9 to 5 jobs! (or whatever your schedule was). My husband told me when we first got married that he will NEVER retire. He loves to work and will do so until his body says no more. I feel the same way as he does. I work from home and that's just part of me and my life.

Be inspired if you have pictures of yourself, a family member or just a friend, this is a great one to start with. Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Scrap your heart out

Happy Monday and good morning! Hope you had a lovely weekend. We are still in California enjoying the family, the weather and beautiful San Diego/Temecula. One of the biggest gifts in life is being able to see and enjoy grandchildren. They are soooo precious, innocent and lovely. I love all 5 of mine!

I also LOVE scrapbooking! Have you noticed? I used the Valentine Collection from Authentique which is very vintage. Perfect for our scrapping pictures with friends.

Have a fabulous and blessed day!

Engagement

Happy Thursday! I must say that this is picture doesn't give justice to the beauty of these papers. They are from 49th & Market and they are gorgeous! Click on the picture for a closer look. I made this kit thinking about the precious pictures we take when we get engaged. I do not see very many layouts out there with this theme/title.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a fabulous and blessed day!

Wild About You

Happy Wednesday from Temecula, California! Being around 4 children ranging between the ages of 2 months to 6 years is not for the faint of heart (especially at my age). There are moments that get pretty wild around here, especially before dinner time.  It's like feeding time at the zoo!  And we love every minute of it!

This is one of my latest kits and it's perfect for pictures of the little wild ones doing what they do best; play and be wild.

Have a fabulous and blessed day!

Birthday Girl

Happy Monday! Hope you had a lovely weekend. Our granddaughter Carolina is 4 years old today. She told us that she is soooooo BIG now. We had a lovely day yesterday celebrating it. We went to lunch, then to Build-a-Bear, followed by riding the train at the mall, eating pretzels, going to Toy-r-Us with all 4 grandparents, riding the dinosaur by the door and finally riding her new scooter while holding her new bear! Yes, all grandparents were exhausted and were ready for a nap by 4 pm.

Last week I asked Carolina what would Jesus say about her and she responded with the sweetest smile "that I am CUTE". Indeed she is! Well, I had to make a layout for this moment! I will put her newborn pictures in it.

We have new kits posted last night and several of them are sold out already so we took them off the page. If you would like to see them please click on the girl with the shopping cart in the upper left and she will take you to the KITS page. Send me an e-mail to beatrizguzman58@yahoo.com with your order.

Have a fabulous and blessed Monday! A brand new week ahead of you filled with amazing things waiting for you to unfold.

Coffee First

Happy Friday! I think I am sooooo cold that all I want to scrap is about coffee, hot chocolate and fireplaces! Yes, we have had three days of temperatures in the 20's. This is FLORIDA!!!  I'm going to lodge an official complaint.

I saw the cutest picture the other day.  Elsa was being arrested by the Miami police!

And here is one more layout about coffee!

Have a fabulous and wonderful weekend! Stay warm and be blessed.

Mardi Gras

Happy COLD Wednesday! Oh, yes, back to 30 degrees here in North Florida

In the meantime, I keep scrapping and playing with all the new amazing papers! Here's a layout I made with papers from Graphic 45. It's perfect for those who celebrate Mardi Gras.

Keep warm, enjoy your coffees and hot chocolates and be blessed! See you tomorrow!

Coffee Lover

Good morning and happy Tuesday! One of the many things I love about my husband is that he makes me coffee and brings it to my bed every morning rain or shine. He has spoiled me rotten! When I am away I call him on the phone and ask him where my coffee is!!!  When I made this layout I had him in my mind. I have to admit I have never taken a picture of his loving gesture and all the coffee cups I have collected over the years.

Enjoy the little things and don't take for granted the loving actions you do for your loved ones. Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Heartfelt Creations

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great weekend. Ours was busy but sooo fun! My husband got to drive his hot rod over the weekend and he was like a teenager all over again! I went with him and I have to tell you that riding down the road in an open-top car in 40 degree weather is nothing but COLD!  We also went to a fancy dinner on Friday evening celebrating three birthdays plus our son-in-law's new job.

I played with one of the latest Heartfelt Creations collections again and this one I dedicated it to those we loved but are gone ahead of us. I love the bridge on the left and the arch on the right side.

Enjoy your day, especially if you have it off, and keep warm! Blessings to you always.

My Car - Revisited

Good morning and happy Friday!  I trust that all of you have had a great week.  Ours was terrific!

My husband has owned a hot rod car for a number of years.  When we lived in South Florida, he drove it to a local car show every week.  Then, life got in the way.  We moved to Alabama for a few years while the car stayed in Ft. Lauderdale.  When we moved to Gainesville six years ago, he went down, rented a trailer and brought it up.  He was always intending to get it running again, but never had the time.

When we moved last month, I gave him an ultimatum.  The only way that the car was coming over to our new house was if it was driven into the garage.  No more towing!

Well, he happened to find a guy who owns a shop and works on vintage cars.  He's also an amateur race car driver.  It took several weeks, but J.W. got the car running and road worthy.  There are still some things left to do, but the car is running and it was actually driven into our garage yesterday.

There's a local Cruise-In this weekend and Steve has already made plans to go.  We will all go to support him.  I made this layout and kit several months which is where we'll put the pictures of the event.  It's titled My Car.

Here's a picture of Steve with his new best friend, J.W.

And here he is backing out of the shop for the drive home.

Thanks for visiting the blog today.  Have a safe and restful weekend and we will see you on Monday!  Stay blessed!

Happy Tuesday!

Good morning, dear friends!  Here is a new layout made using the Camelia Carnation Collection from Heartfelt Creations.  I just love the beautiful, warm Spring colors.  Even though it's been awfully cold, Spring cannot be that far away (I hope).

Two birthdays in a row

Happy Monday! Hope you had a lovely weekend. As I told you on my last post, I spent 4 wonderful days at the Vero Beach Scrapbook event in Vero Beach. The theme was "organization" and as always, Barbara outdid herself with the games and prizes. She also sets up her "traveling store" and had some of the latest collections available to all who attended. I played with one of the new collections from Heartfelt Creations called Camelia Carnation Collection. It is soooo beautiful! Here are some of the layouts I made with it.

We have been celebrating Andrew's birthday who turned 6 yesterday and my husband Steve who turns 63 today. I thank the Lord for these precious men in my life and I pray they both have many, many more amazing days with us. Here they are playing with one of their favorite "toys' they got for Christmas!

Please remember to let me know if you would like to get the Family Kit Series for 2018. It should be ready within 2 weeks.Thank you for stopping by! Have a fun, relaxed and blessed day!

Vero Beach Scrapbooking Weekend Event

Good morning and happy Friday!  I had to escape the below freezing temperatures of North Florida to the warmer above freezing temperatures of Vero Beach for the weekend.  Here I am with my dear friend Cassia and our alter egos Ladybug Izzi and Queen Bee Buzby at the Vero Beach Scrapbooking weekend event.

Aren't Izzy and Buzby just adorable?

Here's a shot of just some of the door prizes and giveaways that hope to win!

And here is one of the first layouts that I have made this weekend!

Thanks for visiting today.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Cookies!

Happy Wednesday dear friends! Hope you are keeping yourself safe and warm. They cancelled schools here today and tomorrow in our area because we are expecting rain under possible freezing temperatures and we Floridians have no clue on how to handle that type of weather! They will add another couple of days onto the school year in June to make up for these days.  My husband, who is from Chicago, said that if they cancelled school for minor things like this while he was growing up, he would still be in high school.

I made a few kits inspired by our granddaughter Carolina. She was born addicted to chocolate! She hardly eats anything besides carrots and bread but no matter the time of day or night, she is always hungry and ready for a chocolate chip cookie! As a grandma, I sneak "one or two" in her daily diet. One day I took a picture of her and sent it to her mom and I got in trouble!!!! I forgot to wipe her face before I took her picture.....

She "made me" buy this chocolate fountain which we saw at Target. It was her favorite toy during Christmas! Look at her little face and tongue sticking out ready to devour her chocolate chip cookie covered in chocolate!

Here are the layouts about cookies.

Keep warm, cozy and be blessed!

Monthly Kits for 2018

Good morning! Hope you had a restful first day of the year. We had two of the grandchildren over on the 31st while their parents went out to celebrate the New Year.  Instead of going out even for dinner  with the kids, we decided to stay home by the fireplace and watch "Beauty and the Beast". It was a very sweet night! Can you believe the temperature is dipping down below freezing here in North Florida? That's VERY COLD for us here in the South!

During 2017 we had a monthly series of Heritage kits. This one is the last one of the year. For those of you who participated, you now have an entire album with 12 heritage layouts. I hope you enjoyed them and are pleased with the results.

For 2108 our theme of the monthly kit series will be "Family". Let me know if you would like to participate. I'll put your name down.

We have several new Christmas kits posted here as well. Click on the girl with a shopping cart in the upper left and you can see them. Take advantage of the special coupons and prices that CVS, Walgreens and Snapfish have right now to have your pictures printed.

Have a wonderful and blessed 2nd day of the new year!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year dear friends! I know I have not been here for a week or so but life got pretty  busy with the moving into our new home and with Christmas. We are settled in and enjoying our double fireplace as we have had pretty cold weather lately.

I know that New Year resolutions are pretty popular and I was always the first one to make them. But I always failed. So for the last few days I've been meditating on this and I have decided that if God is in control of our lives then it really would not matter from one day to the other, right? The Lord works in seasons, not days. My season has been to quiet my heart and soul before Him. I've learned this the hard way, as I was going thru my back surgeries lately. When you are confined to a bed, in an unfamiliar place (rehab) for many weeks at a time, you start thinking "what am I suppose to learn during this season?" I remember praying "please Lord open my eyes so I see you in my pain. Open my eyes to see where you are today". And He did! I saw amazing women dressed as nurses helping me feel comfortable, I saw awesome cooks making sure I ate a balanced and hot meal. I saw doctors in and out making sure I was healing properly, I saw my husband totally dedicated to me day in and day out, I saw my children and grandchildren poured their time and love on me, and many more countless blessings. I would have never noticed them if I wasn't being still on a bed. I said all of this because I feel that many of you need a word of encouragement. No matter what you are going through, God has you covered. Trust Him to provide everything you need in the season you are in. He will give you EVERYTHING you need!

With all that being said, I wish you a wonderful and blessed New Year!

Allow Jesus to be the Lord of your life this year and taste and see His goodness and love for you.
Blessings to you and thank you for stopping by!
