Happy New Year!

"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men;
yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

I wish you a blessed and wonderful New Year!.
May God fill your hearts with His peace and unfailing love all the days of you life.
Thank you for stopping by!

Oh boy... do I love ice cream! I made them in the colors of my favorite flavors....

"Sealed with a Kiss" (Sweet Treats & Sweethearts Cricut Cartridges)

I am playing with all my new cricut cartridges I got for Christmas. I used Sweet Treats and Sweethearts to make this layout. The cake is  10" and  embellished with trims and my handmade flowers. The doves are 3" and 4 " each and the words "Kiss me" and "You and Me" are size 3". I also used Martha Stewart punch for the sides. This is my daughter's wedding about 2 1/2 years ago. This is such a beautiful picture... I had it printed at Costco (8 x 12).

Flowers made with punches

These are the punches I used to make these cute flowers. I layered them and creased them to give them dimension. They are so easy to make and very inexpensive! I am always making them with the leftover papers and keep them in a box so when I need one they are already done.

"Frogs in love" from Paisley Cachemire Cricut Cartridge

Love is in the air.... these pictures are from my son's honeymoon in Jamaica. I used Paisley Cachemire Cricut Cartridge again to make the cutest frogs ever! The castle is from Paper Dolls.

Paisley Cachemire Cricut Cartridge

This cartridge is so adorable! It has many girly-girl and cute images. Even though these are family pictures of "grown-ups", I couldn't help myself and made it "cutsie" and since my name is BEA... it works for me!

Merry Christmas and a blessed and wonderful New Year!

This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, 'Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.' Matthew 1:18-21

"The Nutcracker Ballet" Shadow Boxes

I made these shadow boxes for a lovely mother who wants to give it to her daughter for Christmas.  Her 14 year old daughter was chosen to perform  the role of  "Clara". She wanted to preserve everything from that night, including her flowers. Each shadow box is 18" x 24". I am sure she will treasure them forever!

Cookbook with "From my Kitchen" cricut cartridge

This cookbook has been so much fun to make! It is actually a class I will be teaching at Paper Niche in South Florida at the end of January. I used Maya Road clear album, "From my kitchen" cricut cartridge, Stampin 'Up! stamps and tons of great papers. Here are some pictures of  a few of the pages.

"God Gives Us a Desire for Our Work"

I have been so busy the last three weeks with Thanksgiving,  my son's wedding, with Christmas and with traveling almost every weekend that I have not had time to post any of my work lately. In the busyness of life, I came across this devotional today and when I read it it reminded me of why I scrapbook and why I love it so much. Here it is... enjoy!

"God Gives Us a Desire for Our Work" (By Os Hillman)

You shall call, and I will answer You; You shall desire the work of Your hands (Job 14:15 ).

Did you know that God has already pre-wired you for the work He created you to do? We all have things inside of us that excite us when we think about it. God is the source of this passion. However, our career path may require many stepping stones before we reach the work that we were ultimately created for. The psalmist says "All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be" (Ps 139:16).

When the ark of the covenant was to be designed to contain the sacred ten commandments, God prepared a man to perform the important work.

"Then the LORD said to Moses, 'See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts -- to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of craftsmanship'" (Ex 31:1-6).

We do not know much about Bezalel, but you can be sure he had many jobs leading up to this most important assignment. He was also the first man mentioned in all of scripture to be "filled with the spirit of God."

When your work is empowered by the Spirit of God you will be hand-picked for some of the most important assignments. He says the skilled worker will even serve before kings (Prov. 22:9). God will see to it that your skills will be used for His ultimate purposes. This is the call of God for each of us -- to be fulfilled in our work and to use our work to fulfill His purposes on the earth.

He seals the hand of every man, that all men may know His work (Job 37:7 ).

My son is married!

My son Daniel Andres is finally married. His wedding was on Saturday, December 5 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Everything was perfect, even the weather! Danny asked his father and I to walk him down the altar and that was a very special moment for all of us. When he asked the priest  for permission to do this, he answered: "it's your wedding, do what you want".  For those of you who like wedding photography check out their site for more great moments at:

New Cricut cartridges for $30!!!!

My friend called me from Ft. Lauderdale this morning to tell me that Wallmart has all the new Cricut cartridges for $30. I went to my local Wallmart but they did not have any of them. So I went back home, printed Wallmart's offer and went to Michael's and asked the manager if they honor competitor's prices. Well, she said yes and I ended up buying  my Christmas present!!! I bought 7 of them...... including this "from my kitchen". So.... I played a little! The "chef" is a stamp from Stampin'Up!. I was jumping and hugging the manager.... (I bet she thought I was from Mars....).

More handmade cards!

As you can see, I have been very busy making greeting cards. I forgot how fun it is to make them! I've been scrapping way too much lately.

I spoke to Tammy at Paper Niche in South Florida today and it looks like I will be teaching there on Tuesday, December 8th at 6 pm. It will be a Christmas layout made with the cricut (Joys of the Season and Christmas Cheer). Can't wait!
