Treasured Memories

Good morning! As promised, here are some of the layouts I made during the weekend crop in Lafayette. I got my hands on some of the new Melissa Frances papers and embellishments. In this one I stamped some swirls  in brown. I love how they look against the soft colors. My friend Mona suggested this title, it is perfect for these pictures with our daughter Valerie. I used the Maya Road sewing chipboard set - scissors, needle & thread, and dress form.

These are Melissa Frances papers too. The branch is from Kaiser Kraft. I added some metal to break the softness of the color and used a strip between the MS lace punch on the left and big eyelets on the borders. This is another page for my granddaughter-to-be, Madison Rose!

I made this page for my friend Mona using all her goodies. This is her precious granddaughter and her kitty . She is so adorable!

This is the gorgeous Janet, owner of Treasured Memories. I told her I want to look like her when (and if) I grow up!

These are some snapshots taken during my Altered Book class. After about 4 hours everyone was beat, so I promised to make a video with details about finishing the inside of the book.

Have a blessed and happy day!

Altered Book Class

Good morning! I am on my way to Lafayette, Louisiana this morning. I am attending a 4-day crop and also teaching this Altered Book class at Treasured Memories. This is the cover of the book.

These are a few of the pages in the inside. We will be using lots of  products and techniques throughout the class.

My amazing husband made this video which shows you the best way to prepare a book in order to be altered. Did I tell you he is my helper, encourager and the "engineer" of my paper crafts? ( shhhh ... I do not like to measure ... I prefer to "eyeball" everything).

Hope you enjoyed our very first video. I will not be able to visit your blogs while I am away but I will catch up next week. Have a fabulous and a very blessed and joyful day in the Lord!

Weekend in Lafayette

Happy Tuesday! I am back and all rested after a fabulous weekend in Lafayette. Abby, Deidre and I found the perfect guy along the road for our picture.

We cropped non-stop for 4 days at Paula's weekend at the Ladybug Lodge. She is an amazing hostess and so much fun to be around.... her nickname is "sunshine"!

We all wore red tops for a group picture and dinner on Saturday evening.

Can you believe I only made three layouts? I was too busy visiting with everybody, shopping and teaching!!!
I used the new Graphic 45  Playtimes Past.

The branches are from Dusty Attic. I made a bunch of roses out of the same papers.

This one is also made with Graphic 45 collection called Once Upon A Spring Time and Dusty Attic laser cuts. Treasured Memories is selling this layout as a kit. You can contact Janet or Paula at (337) 534-4433 or at http://trmemories.com

I made this layout using Prima papers, a white doily and these fancy ladies from a new company Treasured Memories is carrying.

I had a great time teaching at Treasured Memories!!!

Tomorrow I will be posting some amazing work these ladies made during the weekend. Have a blessed day!
