Star Wars

Good morning!  Star Wars is a movie that really has some staying power.  The first one came out in 1977 (my husband and I actually went to see it on our honeymoon) and he tells me that there's a new one with most of the original cast coming out next year!

Here's a layout I made for a special request.  All of these characters are from the first movie. 

Madison & I went for a walk this past summer and look who we ran into in the park, Darth Vader and an Imperial Storm Trooper!

And here's my son's best friend, Buddy, at a baseball game with Yoda and Chewbacca.  (Buddy's the one with the baseball cap.)

A Day at the Park

Good morning!  Hope you all had a great weekend.  I actually made two excursions out of the house this weekend with my husband.  He took me to Hobby Lobby, to Michaels and to Jo-Ann's.  (Where

else would I want to go?)

 

Here are two layouts that I made recently with the same title.  I didn't realize it until I laid them side-by-side, but they almost look like photo negatives of each other!  (My favorite is actually the darker one.)  The little girl is from Unity Stamp Co.

Happy Friday!  Are you ready for the weekend?  The title for this layout is "Time to Celebrate".  I found these gorgeous papers at Jo-Ann's.  They are actually a very heavy paper.  And you know me.  I love everything "chalkboard".

Doggies!!!

Good morning!  Before I had grandchildren I had a "grand-doggie".  His name is Moses and he has his own scrapbook.  Sometimes we forget just how important our pets are to us.

Hello Kitty

Good morning!  I saw something the other day that said that Hello Kitty is not a cat.  If not, then why is her name Hello Kitty?  The way I see it, if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck then it must be a duck.

Your Smile is Planted in My Heart

Good morning!  I was inspired by the sticker which contained the title words.  I knew that it just had to be a spring flower type layout so here's what it became!  It's very colorful and, even though we're six months from Spring, turned out quite nice.

This is My Life

Good morning!  Hope your week is going great so far.  In case you are wondering about my health, it's been three weeks already since my last back surgery.  I am feeling much better and stronger today, praise The Lord.  It's been a hard and long road but I know at the end it will all be good again! James 1:2-3 says:  "Consider it pure joy brothers and sisters, when you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance".

Today's layout is another one of my kits that I made recently and it's all about me, myself and I. Selfies will look great on it, don't you think?

Princess

Good morning!  Here is a layout I made last month titles simply "Princess".  I was inspired by the 3D sticker that eventually ended up in the lower left hand corner showing a number of (but not all of) the Disney princesses throughout the years.  After all, who does not have at least one special princess in their life?

 

I actually made this into a kit and it sold out very quickly.  I guess many people do have a special princess in their life!

Giggles

Good morning! Giggle has to be one of my favorite words in the English language and it might be because I am always around babies! There's nothing like the sound of a baby's laugh. No matter what your mood is you will always smile at this sound!

Lighthouses

Good morning!  Hope your week is going great so far.  Here's a layout I made focusing on the lighthouses. I absolutely love old lighthouses and try to visit them during my travels if there are any in the area.

 

I used a bunch of papers and embellishments to put it together such as Kaisercraft, K & Company,  Soft Spoken,  Jolee's, some netting, some shells, and so on. 

 

This scripture came to my heart as I designed  it with the lighthouses:  

 

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world.

Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

John 8:12

Summer 2014

Good morning and happy Monday!  Hope you had a lovely weekend.  It rained almost non-stop here in Gainesville.  I guess the flowers were very happy and so was I, laying in bed listening to it on the roof.

Here are four layouts I've made recently related to summer.  I hope they inspire you to print all the pictures you've taken lately and actually scrap them.   I just loaded a program on my iPad and iPhone that I can upload all the pictures I take almost immediately and I get 100 free prints every month.  You can't beat that deal!  Now there are no more excuses to not having time to print your photos, right?  And the good thing is that you can pick them up locally within hours at Walgreens or they can mail them to your house.

Back to School

Good morning!  By now, everyone is back in school.  Here are a couple of layouts I made last month.  the first one in in a vintage style with a lot of browns.

 

This second one is much more lively and colorful.

Both were made into kits and I actually have a few of the second one left for sale.

Cowboy and Cowgirl

Good morning and howdy, y'all!  Here are a couple of layouts that I was inspired to make after seeing photos of my granddaughter riding the ponies at her favorite attraction.

 

 

There's plenty to do at this farm east of Seattle, but she just likes to ride her two favorite ponies.

 

This first one is for the cowboys.  The colors and patterns are very masculine.

 

And on this one I threw in a little pink for the cowgirls in your life.

Both of these were made into kits and I still have a few left if you're interested.

Baby Boy and Baby Girl

Good morning!  Here are a couple of layouts that I made using Carta Bella's baby mine collection.  As you can see, they have pink papers and stickers for the baby girls and blue papers and stickers for the baby boys.  I actually made these into kits and still have several of each available.

Selfies

Good morning!  Well, today is exactly one week since my back surgery and I'm feeling much better.  I'm still in bed most of the time, but do get up from time to time for short periods.  I can't wait to get be to where I can do "marathon scrapping".

"Selfies" seem to be all the rage these days.  That's why I love the title of this layout I recently made.  I love the color combination as well.  There seems to be a little bit of everything, but it goes together well. The frames for the photos are wood and chalkboard background. I found them at Michael's.
