The Bug Bytes Wednesday

Good morning! It is my turn to design for  The Bug Bytes today. I made fall leaves using metal tape. Here is what you do:
  1. Cut some leaves out of metal (aluminum) repair tape using the Tim Holtz Tattered Leaves die.  Leave the backing on the tape until you're ready to place them on your page.  (The tape I have is only 2" wide so I had to "repair" one side of the maple leaf to make it look right.

2. Emboss the leaves with the Cuttlebug to give them some texture.

3. Apply a few drops of alcohol ink to each of the leaves and spread it out using alcohol blending solution in a water pen.  (Be careful as excess blending solution can cause the backing paper to release from the aluminum tape.)

Here they are on a layout.

On a tag.

Voila! Here is the full layout.  Hope you enjoyed this tutorial and will inspire you to make your own.

Have a great and blessed day!
