Happy Wednesday!

Good morning! I have sooo much to share with you today. First of all, today is my turn to design for She's a Sassy Lady. These are four Mother's Day cards made with the fabulous  Graphic 45  Little Darlings Collection. I used Spellbinders dies, gold pen, diamond stickles, dollies , flowers, pearls, bling, and a ton of pop up dots. The square cards are 6 x 6.

I spent the weekend at the Paper Niche National Scrapbooking Weekend Crop in Ft. Lauderdale. During the crop, Tammy Hyde, the owner of Paper Niche announced the following:

The Month of May is not only National Scrapbooking Month but it is also Lupus Awareness Month. Our very own Bea has lupus. Because we love her so much we wanted to raise awareness and Funds for Lupus and have some fun in the process! Friday Night we will hold an Auction where we will auction off all of the Layout Samples that Bea has designed for us. Natasha will be our Auctioneer with her lovely Assistant Liz Martinez. All proceeds from the Auction will be donated to the Lupus Foundation in Bea’s Name!

We raised over $1,200 for the Lupus Foundation.  Isn't that wonderful?  This is one of the many reasons why  I love Paper Niche!  Here are just a few of the sweet ladies that had fun bidding on my pages.

We all received a beautiful canvas bag, a t-shirt and a "goodie bag". There were raffles and prizes all throughout the weekend.

These are some happy scrappers!!! (Karen, Lucy, Helen, me, Terry and Ana).

There's nothing like the gift of friendship!!!! Have a great and blessed Wednesday!

She's a Sassy Lady

Happy Wednesday! Today I made this layout  for  She's a Sassy Lady.   The word "MOTHER" comes from the Heritage Cricut Cartridge.  I cut it 2 1/2".  The two hearts on the bottom right are from the Graphically Speaking Cartridge and I cut them 8".  I used my favorite punch ever called Lucky 8 (Tatted Doily) (have you seen those yet?)

I layered and then layered some more and embellished them with a metal key I found at Michael's and a cluster of flowers.

I did the same thing for this tag. The papers are from Prima and from Graphic 45.

Hope you enjoyed my layout and inspired you to start thinking about Mother's Day.  It will be here in just a few weeks.  Thank you Sheila for having me.  I love being a Sassy Lady!  Have a great and blessed day!

She's a Sassy Lady

Good morning! It's my turn today to design for She's a Sassy Lady.  As is the case for most of you, my #1 creative passion is for scrapbooking and working with paper.  However, there are times where we just have go "outside of the box".  Here is an example of going "outside of the box" (a shoe box, that is); a customized pair of sneakers that would make Michael Jordan envious.

Granted, they're not very practical for a 5k run or a day in the park, but they're just perfect for that very special occasion.

Here is my friend Karen's precious baby, Mary Kate, who turned one-year-old last week, wearing her fancy shoes while she rides a hobby horse that she got for her birthday.

Hope you have enjoyed this idea. Have a great and blessed day!

She's a Sassy Lady Wednesday!

Good morning!  Today is my turn to design for She's a Sassy Lady.  I made a Double Daisy using the Paper Lace Cricut Cartridge.  Here are the steps:

1.)  Cut out on page 32 with the Lace 2 Creative Features button pressed.  (These flowers here are 4 1/2".)

2.)  Using a different color paper, cut out the exact same thing.

3.)  Lay one of the flowers directly over the other, rotating it 1/2 petal to the left or right.  (You can stick a fat pen into the centers to make certain that they're exactly aligned.)  With a pen or pencil, draw a line exactly where ONE SIDE (either left or right) of the upper petal crosses over the lower petal.

4.)  Using small scissors, carefully cut this line on all petals of the upper flower.

5.)  Glue the center ONLY of the upper flower to the center of the lower flower, so the cuts are exactly centered where you drew them.  (You can use the fat pen again to line them up.)   Carefully weave each cut on the upper flower to the back of the lower flower.  (This photo shows them about half done.)

6.)  Finish weaving the rest of the cuts before gluing the upper petals to the backs of the lower petals.

Here is the layout I made using my Double Daisies! Madison Rose looks so beautiful in pink, doesn't she?

Have a happy, smiley and blessed day!

"Creative Scrappers" and "She's a Sassy Lady" Projects

Happy Wednesday! Well, here I am with a few things to share with you today. The first one is.... I am being featured  at Creative Scrappers! They are celebrating their "125th Sketches" and are presenting different designers the entire week. Make sure you stop by their blog as they are having a fabulous celebration throughout the  week. This is the page I made using their 125th sketch:

These are my precious children Valerie and Daniel dancing at her wedding 3 years ago.

I am also featured today  at  http://shesasassylady.blogspot.com . I made this project using Zooballoo and  Home Accents Cricut Cartridges. With Christmas just around the corner this can make a nice present and you can even fill out the tree with individual names.Don't you just love that Cricut? Whoever invented it is a genius!!!!

Have a wonderful and blessed day!
