Deck the Halls

Good morning and happy Thursday!  I hope that your week is going well so far!

Here is a recent layout and kit that I made.  I always liked the expression "Deck the Halls", but I was never quite sure what it meant.  I knew what a "deck" was and what "halls" were, but never could figure what the two had to do with each other.
