Good morning and happy Tuesday! My DH grew up with a very involved father who was always doing fun activities with the kids and grand kids. His most memorable was the "Bear Hunt", which he'd happily lead at all family gatherings. Now that he's gone, one of his grandchildren has picked up the mantle and will carry on the tradition.
It's not surprising, then, that my DH is very much the same. This past weekend he "found" a treasure map while we were with the grandchildren in St. Petersburg. so we all set out on a quest. After passing Octopus Caverns, Blue Lagoon, Volcano Lake and the Secret Pirate Fort, to name a few landmarks, the kids located the X on the beach. And as we all know, X always marks the spot.
The kids dug up a wooden treasure chest filled with doubloons, gold necklaces and precious gems. What a great memory, all documented with photos.
Here's the map.
"OK. which way do we go now?"
X marks the spot!
Lookie what we dug up!
Five happy treasure hunters.
And here's the layout that will hold these precious photos.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Everyone has tons of photos on their cell phones. It's time to print them out and get them into scrapbooks for all to enjoy!
Have a wonderful and blessed day!
