Finished work!
Last night I went to my "Fridays @ the Niche" Crop Night soooooo ready to scrap and fellowship with my friends and about 7:30pm I was interrupted by fear....My left leg hurt and was swollen and the girls advised me to go to the hospital. My heart was broken when I realized I did have to leave! but guess what? I was released at midnight (they found swollen lymph nodes and told me to see my doctor on Monday)) and at 10 am today I went back to Paper Niche and finished my layouts! I feel very blessed today with my new scrapbook friends and how they responded to my need. Thank you all for your calls and your love, they really mean a lot to me. Romans 12:15 says: Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. It is a powerful verse because it means to be real with each other and to stand with a friend in good times and in bad times too.

Wedding in the horizon....
My son Daniel is getting married on December 5 to the most beautiful girl in the whole wide world! They are high school sweet-hearts, and after 6 years together, they will make one of the biggest commitments of their life - To love one another until death do them apart- How romantic, how beautiful, how exciting! They are made for each other. One their biggest strenght is that they are best friends and they have fun together. wow... in about 6 months I have to "give my son away!". (I don't remember reading that on my instruction manual the day he was born!). I was inspired tonight to make these pieces which I am sending to a dear friend in Houston. We started to do a swap every month. This month is "titles for pages". As you can see, I did more than a title... I just couldn't stop! I found beautiful embroidered lace, pearls and shiny paper. Hope she likes them! I do.

After a busy week at work...
I do not know about you but when Friday arrives my smile gets bigger and bigger... I think of the moment I arrive at Paper Niche and start unpacking my bag filled with things I do not need or don't have any photos to match them with. I think of sleeping in on Saturday morning and I also long for the Church service early Sunday morning. Maybe it's because the daily rutine is broken and I get to do things "outside the box". I get to see my friends who share a passion for scrapbooking, I get to hug my pillow a little longer and I get to worship my Lord one more time in the assembly of other believers.... wow..... it's that simple, it's that good.... He makes ALL things beautiful in His time! The author of Ecclesiastes makes this statement in chapter 3. There are seasons of life. Some overlap and some are consecutive. Some are short and some long. Some are busy and others not so much.
God’s time is perfect and beautiful. His seasons for us are beautiful. If your life is messy and frustrating, maybe it’s time to check and see if God is in the middle of what you are doing. When your actions are lined up with God’s will, it will be beautiful. He has a perfect plan and He’s working it perfectly. When we get on board with that, the results are lovely. They are something others can see and enjoy. And maybe even want to have in their own lives... His peace and joy will overflow from the inside out and others will see Him...

Happy Mother's Day!
What a beautiful day to celebrate! Even though my mother has been with the Lord over 4 years I can't stop thanking God for her. He knew the type of mother I needed and even though it wasn't always easy I know she was full of wisdom and unconditional love for me. I wish I could tell her one more time how much I love her and how much I appreciate her long nights watching over me or waiting for me, her tears of joy when I did something "right" or desperation when I didn't behave. One more time to hug her and to caress her silver hair. One more time to buy her flowers, one more time to tell her I am sorry, one more time to tell her I miss her, one more time to pray for her, one more time....one more time...
Now I am a mother myself! The Lord has blessed me with two beautiful children, Valerie and Daniel and I rejoice in the fact that I can make an eternal difference in their lives as I live my God-given calling, MOTHERHOOD.

Accucut samples, cake and Tammy
National Scrapbooking Day
What a beautiful day we had at the Paper Niche celebration of National Scrapbooking Day!I met a very talented lady who absolutely loves fabric. Her name is Rachel, has two children and lives in Pembroke Pines! She was making her Mother's Day presents. She quilted a 12 x 12 piece of fabric in neutral colors and then stamped and embellished it. I hope the people who receive them will appreciate all the time and work that went into each piece. She is going to Lafayette with me in July to take Donna Downey's class. Michelle stopped by just in time for cake and fellowship and I made some samples for the store using the accu-cut die machine. We cropped the night before until midnight and then on Saturday from 8 am until 10 pm! Poor Tammy...she must have been exhausted after such a busy day...
