I love Summer

Happy Friday! We have another another Die-cut Challenge at SOUS and our theme today is "I love Summer". Well, I already had the perfect pictures of my grandson Andrew during one of his swimming lessons.

And as a special treat my husband prepared this special video of Andrew during a swimming lesson.

The papers in this layout are from October Afternoon.  I've had them forever, but was saving them for I don't know what.  I finally broke down and broke into the box and this is what I made.

Make sure you stop by SOUS and check out the other designer's work.  They are fabulous. Have a great, safe, fun and blessed weekend!

Happy Friday!

Good morning! Today we have another fun challenge at SOUS: Mother's Day. My layout focuses on my daughter Valerie and my daughter in law Lexie holding their babies. This year will be their first Mother's Day.

This beautiful flower paper is from the No limits Collection from  Heidi Swapp. It is soooo pretty!

Have a fabulous, happy and blessed weekend!

Winter fun!

Good morning and happy Friday! Stuck On Us Sketches has a new challenge this week: Winter Fun!

This is the layout I made for this challenge. We do not get snow in this part of the world but we do get to wear some winter clothes when it gets down to 30 degrees! I went to a Christmas fair and bought this cute  hat knitted by this sweet lady.

I played with stickles and puffy paint for my letters.

These swirls are made out of chipboard which I painted and then inked.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you get a minute to stop by SOUS and check out what the rest of our very talented Design Team have been creating..  Have a fabulous and blessed weekend!

Christmas Eve with SOUS

Hello! Christmas Eve is here and we are celebrating with Stuck On Us Sketches. Our challenge was a beautiful sketch created by the lovely Suepup.

I know it is a one-page sketch but you know me..... I want to see double page layouts in my albums! Here is what I made and called it "Holly Jolly".

My husband and I are off to Orlando  until the new year. Have a blessed and fabulous day!

SOUS challenge and "Tag Art" at Treasured Memories

It's Friday and it's Stuck On Us Sketch time again. This is the page I made using a fabulous skecth you can see here.

My class at Treasured Memories Grand Reopening weekend is today at 4:30 pm. I am so excited! These are the tags (4" x 8") they will be making.

My mother in law gave me a stack of postcards dated back to the early 1900's from her family in Iowa, she also gave me buttons, lace, ribbons, some of them older than 100 years, to use in my class. And SURPRISE SURPRISE... everyone of my students will be making one of these tags  using these vintage treasures!!!!!!

I will be posting pictures of these weekend in Lafayette next weekend. Have a blessed and fabulous day!

"HUNK" for SOUS sketch week

Happy Friday and Happy October too! This year is just flying away....

Stuck On Us Sketches has another fabulous sketch  from Becky Fleck to play with. Make sure you stop by and look at all the designs and see what the other girls made!  I scrapped these pictures which I took at the Rayne Forest Crop last July. My friend Cathy has a VERY handsome son and when Melissa and Wendy saw his picture they REALLY  REALLY REALLY thought so too!!!!! This is my take of the sketch.

I made a banner out of hearts and used a piece of yarn to hold them together. I also popped them up and glittered a little.

I made this card using this adorable image of a cowboy from Claudia & Company for  The Pink Elephant Challenge.

I am going to see my kids this weekend and I am so excited I have butterflies in my stomach! Have a wonderful and blessed weekend and make sure you love your loved ones.... spoil them rotten, tell them you love them and be nice to them! (ALL of them!!!!!).
