Movie Night

Happy last day of September! I can't believe I just wrote that.... Do you realize that we are less than 3 months away from Christmas? 
My daughter just got the Disney movie "Cinderella" and we are planning a mother-daughter-granddaughter movie night this weekend. Just us, ice cream and cookies! I am planning on taking lots of selfies for my layout, yeah!

Coffee Addict

Good morning! Do you enjoy a morning coffee? I am spoiled beyond words by my sweet husband! He makes coffee for me every morning, rain or shine, and brings it to me wherever I am in the house! I've learned to never ever take it for granted and always thank him for his loving gesture. Who says that the little things in life are the big ones? Well, it is soooo true! Do you do something special for your loved one?
Here's a layout I made recently inspired by him. I used the perfect Prima papers for my coffee theme.

Carnival Layouts

Good morning, happy Monday and welcome to a new week.  I hope that you had a lovely weekend.

Here are a couple of recent layouts/kits that I made with a carnival theme.  I guess you could say that we're gettin ready for carnivals here in Florida as the weather up north turns cooler and the traveling carnivals start their southern circuit.

Here are my grandchildren enjoing the weekend.  Carolina and Andrew went tailgating with their parents before the Florida-Tennessee game on Saturday.  They're all decked out in UF Gator colors.  Andrew is even sporting his Gator shoes!

Here is Madison helping her mother cook.  I'm not exactly sure what they're making, but it's surely delicious as her mother is an excellent cook.

And here is 2-week-old Landon on a date with his 1-week-old "girlfriend" Sophia.  They're both so excited that they can't even keep their eyes open!

Happy Friday! Here's another layout related to fall.

Talk about genes..... this is my son and his daughter being silly. They are like twins! Madison has the exact same gestures as her daddy! They eat, sleep and play identical to each other! Sooooo cute!

Timeless Moments

Good morning! Hope you are having a great week so far. It seems like the weather is finally starting to change around here. Its been raining, hot and humid like forever!  Here's a layout I made recently using the large clock made out of chipboard from Dusty Attics (Australia). I combined papers from Simple Stories and BoBunny for my base.

Alaska Cruise

Good morning! Do you have a Bucket List? I do have a small one and one of my dreams is to go to Alaska. I believe next year my beautiful dream will come true!  As I was making plans with my daughter she said, Mom you need to start your album. Well, I did! 

Andrew and Carolina were getting very excited  as they listened to us talk about a big ship, whales and bears. I couldn't help to promise them that they would go too! That day they were wearing  the perfect outfits for the trip!

Summer Layouts

Good morning and happy Monday!  I hope that you had a great weekend and are ready to take on anouther week.

First Day/Preschool

Happy Friday!  These are two more school layouts I made recently related to school. I remember the first time I sent my daughter to preschool I thought I was going to die! The second day I became a full-time volunteer and after a few weeks I became a teacher assistant!!! ( I could not let her go!).

Good morning! Hope you are having a great week so far. 
Don't you love to look at old pictures? Once in a while I find a notebook with one inside or open a drawer and there's another. Recently I found this one of my husband Steve with our two children ages 5 and 11 then.

Here's us 23 years later! Valerie and Danny are all grown up now and have kids on their own.

Here's a layout related to summer and the beach, just perfect for my pictures. I will just have to print them both horizontally.

Childhood Memories

Good morning and happy Tuesday!  You know, it's interesting that some of the same books that my husband enjoyed as a child are amongst the favorites of our grandchildren.  High on that list are many of the Dr. Seuss books like The Cat in the Hat and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.

Another of my husbands all time favorites was Go, Dog. Go! by P.D. Eastman.  It's become one Andrew's and Carolina's, as well.  This past weekend we were in Disney and took a picture of the two sitting at a table.  That night while they were being read a bedtime story (Go, Dog. Go!, of course) Andrew commented that "Three dogs at a party, on a boat at night." was just like the picture from earlier.    How true!!!  They even had lollipops!  Life imitates art, does it not?

Inspiration

Good morning and happy new week!  I hope that you had a great weekend.  I spent mine in Orlando with my daughter and her two kids!

Many times people ask me where I get my inspiration.  Sometimes I look at some photos and it hits me like a bolt of lightning.  This is the case here.  After looking at some photos of my grandkids trying on sunglasses at Typhoon Lagoon yesterday, this is what I came up with.

Getting to School

Happy Thursday!  Whether they're in elementary school or in high school, they still need some way to get to school, right?  Well, I always took pictures of my kids leaving for the first day of school.  At first, they liked it, but as they got older, they were embarrassed to have their mother at the bus stop waiting for the "cheese wagon" to show up.

That all changed when they started driving.  They had no problem with me taking a few snapshots as they pulled away from the house ... driving themselves to school!

My New Grandbaby is Here!

Good morning! What an amazing weekend we've had! baby Landon Alexander decided to arrive on Sunday morning, a couple of weeks ahead of schedule!  Mommy and baby are doing great, praise the Lord. Our son Danny can't stop smiling and loves to hold him. 

Madison Rose has been the best sister ever.  She even helped change his first poopy diaper!  She loves to hold him, kiss him and sing to him. 

I made this layout for a friend of mine titled The Lord is my Shepherd. These are pictures of the church she attends.

Scrapbook Queen

Happy Friday! Are you ready for a long weekend? I sure am. I will be spending it in Alabama with the HIVE scrappin' my heart out! Time for a break and some fun with dear friends. Carnival Layout

Good morning! Here's a layout inspired by my 3-year-old grandson Andrew. He told me everything I needed to put on my page! He told me about the carrousel, the flags, the big red mouth the clown has and that you had to buy lots and lots of tickets to get into the rides! It was the cutest thing ever. The things they remember.....Anyhow, it turned out so cute that I made it into a kit!

Happy Birthday

Happy September!!! Wow..... Christmas will be here before we know it! Our first grandaughter Madison Rose turned 4 years old on Sunday. She is soooo precious and what a personality she has!  Here are some pictures of her big day celebrating with her mommy and daddy.
