The Nutcracker

Good morning! I know we are two months away from Christmas but I got my hands on the new Graphic 45 Nutcracker papers and played. And my DH tells me that the store where he works is getting a truckload of Christmas stuff every day and they're running out of space to hide it!

I designed this layout for Paper Niche last time I was there.

As you can see in these close up pictures, I literally took the papers apart and put them back together. I layered each one of the graphics two and three times.

I also embellished the layout with tiny flowers, stickles and rhinestones. It took 9 papers to make it! Well, I found out that the more you mat and layer Graphic 45 papers the prettier they look.

Hope you are inspired to give it a try. Again, I appreciate you stopping by more than you know. Have a great and blessed Wednesday!

Hunting season!

Good morning!  OK, yesterday was fishing so today must be hunting.

Here are a couple of layouts I made for a "hunting family".  The leaf paper used for the photo mats is so pretty, it will be a shame to cover them up with photos!  The large leaves are from Tim Holtz dies and then painted.

The trees and deers are also from Tim Holtz dies, with edges inked and then popped up.

This one is called Born to hunt.

Here's a photo that my friend Karen shared with me a couple of years ago.  When I saw it for the first time, I asked her how she got the deer to lay so still.  She was laughing as she told me they had to shoot it & gut it first! I've never seen a dead deer before in my life!

Have a wonderful and blessed day!

Fishing

Good morning!  I'm getting a lot of requests for fishing and hunting layouts these days.  That suits me just fine because I have a ton of burlap & netting; and I'm not afraid to use it!  I also love to use the soft browns that go along with them so well.

I really like the detail of the little fishing rods with the string.

My husband says that this lure matches the pole, but that the fish doesn't.  Like he's some kind of an expert!

Thanks for stopping by.  Tomorrow I'll have a hunting layout that I'm going to share with you.  Have a wonderful and blessed day.

Bella Blvd

Good morning!  Here are some new papers from Bella Blvd.  I just love the shades of gray & muted pinks.

I'm at Treasured Memories in Lafayette, Louisiana this weekend.  I'm looking forward to meeting up with old friends and scrapping, scrapping, scrapping.

Have a wonderful & blessed day and weekend, as well.
