My husband has owned a hot rod car for a number of years. When we lived in South Florida, he drove it to a local car show every week. Then, life got in the way. We moved to Alabama for a few years while the car stayed in Ft. Lauderdale. When we moved to Gainesville six years ago, he went down, rented a trailer and brought it up. He was always intending to get it running again, but never had the time.
When we moved last month, I gave him an ultimatum. The only way that the car was coming over to our new house was if it was driven into the garage. No more towing!
Well, he happened to find a guy who owns a shop and works on vintage cars. He's also an amateur race car driver. It took several weeks, but J.W. got the car running and road worthy. There are still some things left to do, but the car is running and it was actually driven into our garage yesterday.
There's a local Cruise-In this weekend and Steve has already made plans to go. We will all go to support him. I made this layout and kit several months which is where we'll put the pictures of the event. It's titled My Car.
Here's a picture of Steve with his new best friend, J.W.
And here he is backing out of the shop for the drive home.
Thanks for visiting the blog today. Have a safe and restful weekend and we will see you on Monday! Stay blessed!
