Here comes my bride...

This week's SOUS sketch is  an ORIGINAL one created by  Liz Qualman specifically for Stuck On U Sketches! You can check out their sites at: http://stuckonsketches.blogspot.com and http://lizqualman.blogspot.com. This sketch was perfect for my page "Here comes my Bride". This is a picture of my son standing at the altar looking at his bride while she walked down the aisle with her father.  I have lots of details in this page which I will mention one by one so get your "creative juices" flowing this weekend:
  • I made two flowers out of metal pins. I added beads to each one.
  • The leaves are made out of canvas and painted with alcohol inks and the protected with Crackle Accents
  • I sewed one of the flowers and I also stitched the big circle for the base
  • All the flowers  and circles are cut with George (Cricut) in different sizes, wrinkled, distress and then layered.
  • The scallop edge is done with Accent Essentials (Cricut)
  • The chipboard hearts are embossed with the cuttlebug,  painted with acrylic paints, then brushed with Glass Beads from Liquitex and then embossed with clear powder.
  • The smaller heart is painted, then  embossed with the cuttlebug, then wrapped around with metal wire and embellished with rhinestones.

  7. Wow Wow Wow...Beatriz...this is an amazing piece of art! All of the new techniqes I see here are countless...I too love using wire on my layouts...I simply adore how you have wrapped it around the heart...and that safety pin flower, well what can I say, I'm sure you will see that on one of my future projects. You are an inpiration to me in so many ways...I have been prayerful that God would help me find a way to use my gift to add some income to my family...I was a SAHM for 15 years...after my divorce I had to work outside the home again...I am a single mom and my paraeducator position allows me to have the same hours as my son but does not really provide a living income...I would love to be able to use my craft to enhance my financial situation...thanx for sharing what He has done for you through faith and hard work...it speaks to my soul as do your creations!
