The day after.....

Good morning!  Hope you had a sweet Valentine's day.  As I told you, my date was Andrew and his mommy, Valerie.  We had a fabulous time dancing to the beat of Baby Genius kiddie songs, eating Grandma's Venezuelan cooking and watching Andrew open his bag of goodies.

This is the banner I made for this special occasion. I cut the hearts and the letters using the George and Basic Shapes Cricut cartridge.

The table was beautifully decorated with birds, flowers, candles, balloons, and lots of red glittered hearts in different sizes.

Andrew made two projects for his mommy. This heart for her plate (Grandma helped a little....).

This is a 12 x 12 black canvas framed. (I was inspired by Pinterest of course!)  These are his footprints made with Viva red modeling paste. The foot on the right looks bigger because I think I pressed too hard.  We didn't have time to fix it because immediately after making the prints, he was carried to a waiting bathtub and lots and lots of soap and water!

Andrew started the evening with a red bow tie, but took it off during the kiddie song dance-a-thon.

He loved his goody bag, specially his balloon.

And his ball.

 And his Elmo jammies!

For many years I had empty-nest syndrome. My kids were grown, married and living far away. I was lost in the world and I must admit, I was a little depressed.  Seventeen months ago our first grand-baby (Madison) was born and four months later Andrew came along. Wow.... what a turn my life took! Now our home is filled with much laughter, toys everywhere and many, many parties and holidays to celebrate.

Life is sweet, life is good indeed.

Going back to scrapbooking..... This is a Fall layout I designed for Treasured Memories.  Look at the tree how cute!  I used a burlap flower from Canvas Corp and embellished it with leaves cut out from one of the papers and buttons.

Have a fabulous, fun and blessed weekend!
