Rayne Raffle

Good morning and happy Tuesday!  I'm now home and happy to be here. What a wonderful two weekends in Rayne, La.            

I'd like to tell you of a blessed event that occured during our crops.  Vicky and Ana, two sister scrappers, have a sister, Mona , who is under treatment for cancer.  Ana's son, a talented woodworker, built a beautiful storage cabinet for scrapbooking supplies to be raffled off at the first event to help pay Mona's insurance for the next six months.  Here's a joyful Joy, who has just won the cabinet. Joy donated the cabinet back to the sisters so they could raffle it again the following weekend.

Here is the second winner of the cabinet who, if there had been a third weekend, would probably have given it back for a third raffle! She was  thrilled to win!

And here are Ana and Vicky back home with Mona, presenting her with the funds to pay for her next six months of treatments.

I have to tell you, there are so many wonderful people in this world.  Unfortunately, you just don't hear enough about them.
