First Pitch

Greetings, friends.  For those of you who follow this blog and my Facebook friends as well, you know the story of our son Danny and his miraculous recovery from a ruptured brain aneurysm six weeks ago.  On Friday, he was able to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at a home White Sox game.  Up to that point he had not yet thrown a ball.  He had made the throwing motion with his arm, but was not sure if his brain would let his hand know when to release the ball.  For those who have not seen the inspirational video, it was a strike!

Here is Danny with his family walking out to the mound, where his teammates and his medical group (including the Godly woman who cleaned his room) waited.

It was a strike!  I can't tell who is happier, Danny or his surgeon (the man on the left with the purple shirt).

Well, that inspired me to make another baseball layout for photos from this event.  What a glorious day it was!

Thanks of visiting today and thanks of all of your support and prayer.  He has come a long way in such a short time and he has so much further to go to get back to his dream of playing baseball.  God bless.

  1. Tienes una manera tan linda y emotiva de contarlo que es imposible no romper en llanto emocionado. Pedimos por muchos lanzamientos más! Dios los bendice

  2. YAY. What an amazing and miraculous recovery he has made. So happy for him and his family. I am sure that was the best strike ever in his career.
